I’m so glad you guys enjoyed a REAL HIP HOP song... With real lyrics and problematic situations hidden within. I love all genres of music but my worst fear when it comes to music is that people are completely not open to another genre or at least respect the art. Because you don’t have to like it, but respect where it’s coming from, you know? Some of these great artists tell stories in their songs and this is one of them. Bless you two. 🙏🏽

Just a little constructive criticism: Try to do the pauses in between bars not in the middle of them if that makes sense.
might be easier to tell where the rhyme scheme with other genres of music ends... Rap might be a bit difficult, especially where artists change flows etc. and for people who may not focus primarily on rap music .. would be a task even if you're musically inclined.

He’s apart of the same style of rap that Kendrick often employs, known as conscious rap, where they’re rapping through a stream of consciousness and bringing you through their mind with the lyrics! Very relatable and powerful when done correctly, this is also probably one of the most difficult with regards to writing as they’re telling an entire story line - more than just painting a picture through lyrics but telling an actual story. If you read the lyrics it’d be a story, with characters you could follow - each with their own feelings and reactions to the events the artist is describing. That’s, at least, my view on conscious rap, what does everyone else think?
