I wish I was there I would sing for you, this is one of my favorite songs❤ I know all the lyrics. My daddy was an autoharp picker, and a damn fine guitar player. His Idol was Doc Watson
Thank you! It's an HD-35. Came out the factory late September this year (2024). She still has a ways to go toward opening up, but the resonance, responsiveness, and tone were all what I was seeking. I'm not used to picking on medium gauge strings, and I'm not used to such a lightly braced top, so my pickin' will need to evolve a little bit to accommodate the guitar and vice versa. But such as it is with developing a relationship with a new instrument
It's a BlueChip TD 35 pick (three years old) and the strings were what came out of the factory on it....I believe they're SP Acoustic 92/8 Phosphor Bronze Medium (MSP4200).

What flat pick are you using and what strings and gauge?
