I'm A hammer horror part of the scream factory blu ray favorites will be Dracula in each one from the Scream factory
Whoaaa, awesome collection of Hammer films man. Old-school gothic horror has such a unique charm.
Much appreciated!
The Plague of the Zombie is my favorite hammer horror, Prince of Darkness and The Devil Rides Out both come in second. Great collection!
Great choices! Plague of the Zombies was a game changer for me when I found it. It’s how I learned that I don’t need Lee or Cushing to still love these movies. Thanks for watching!
I love the acting in classic horror Peter Cushing, Chris Lee is awesome.
I bought the Vince price horror collection
Excellent purchase!
I'm so jealous of your collection. I want them!
Thanks for watching!
Great collection! I love Hammer movies!!!
Thank you! These movies are so awesome and I love learning how many fans are still out there.
I definitely think a huge shoutout is due to Mark Maddox. He is the extremely talented artist who is responsible for all the slipcover paintings. I think “The Brides of Dracula” cover is stunning!
Love the episode and agree with most of your opinions, but I think “Kiss of the Vampire” is a really great Hammer film! And run don’t walk to get “Quatermass II”.
Absolutely, thank you for shouting him out! And I have since gotten Quatermass II, but still need to pop it in.
Always loved Hammer!
I have all the ones you said and also. Hell is a City, Fanatic,One Million Years B.C, The Devil Ship Pirates, Captain Clegg, Vampire Circus, The Lost Continent, Countess Dracula, The Snorkel, Never Take Sweets from a Stranger, Up the Creek, Further Up the Creek, The Man Who Could Cheat Death, The Stranglers of Bombay, The Terror of the Tongs, The Damned, Maniac, The Anniversary, Hands of the Ripper, Twins of Evil, On the Buses, Mutiny on the Buses, Holiday on the Buses, That's Your Funeral, Love thy Neighbour and Man About the House
I love this video. I forgot about a lot these movies.
Great video, Scream did a fantastic job with them.
Yes, although Lee was offered Brides of Dracula but turned it down which is why David Peel starred in that one.
Loved this showcase Daniel! Great titles and love for these films, even if some of them are subpar. I am really thrilled to go through these films this year, as I've just about got each of the Hammer films on blu-ray. Keep up the excellent content boi!
Love me some Brides of Dracula and Curse of the Werewolf!
Phenomenal films. Thanks for watching!
Your talking about gothic hammer films and a black cat comes along 🤣 I love that, it's so funny
haha Too perfect!
@@cobwebschannel LEAVE THE BLACK CAT ON THE CHAIR!! Or the ghosts of Vincent Price and Edgar Allen Poe will haunt you! 😆
Great Video with a lot of useful information for Horror Hammer's fans.. And that black Cat behind you put some "BlackMagicSpell" on it.. Stay Safe and Greetings from Spain
Thank you!
I have slowly been trying to pick up all of the Hammer movies. Probably "The Abominable Snowman" is my favorite. It is a nice change of pace.
Fantastic collection of Hammer films , Brides of Dracula is one of there best and i do like Scars of Dracula mainly because of how violent Dracula is in it , i am from the UK so most of my collection is mainly Studiocanal release's , found your channel through Nathan Jones so thanks for the video buddy.
Many thanks! Those studiocanal releases are really beautiful.
Group of bats = a cauldron of bats. How freaking cool is that?!
That’s awesome!
Scars of Dracula is my most watched Dracula film cause it has blood, lots of it. It's a grisly good time & those giant screeching rat bats! They're more menacing than Drac himself.
Awesome video, and an awesome podcast too, thanks! P.s how about a Hammer Dracula cycle ranking?
Thanks! That is absolutely a video I plan to do. Not sure when, but it’ll happen!
A cloud of bats (while in flight)
This was great, Daniel!! I’m a huge Hammer fan too. They are so important in the history and evolution of the horror film. I’m working on building up my blu-ray collection as well, so your videos are extremely helpful. What do you think of Terror of the Tongs or Stranglers of Bombay? I’ve never seen either.
very impressive collection i'm jealous
Grrst Hammer collection! Plague of Zombies and Quatermass & the Pit are my favourites.
So good!!
I love Hammer Movies. I Just received the Scream Factory Blu Rays of Rasputin and Reptile. I watched Rasputin tonight....I thought it was a Great Film !
Rasputin is great! I absolutely love Barbara Shelley in that one.
I saw Twins of Evil on RUclips and it was pretty good including picture quality. The Bluray is $36. How does the Bluray compare to RUclips?
I actually don't own it yet! I've only streamed it on amazon prime.
Nice video. You MUST get The Devil Rides Out from Scream Factory. It's an upgrade over the UK release with the alternate US cut and the proper theatrical version.
Nice, thanks for the heads up!
Enjoy ur content. New subscriber. Keep up the great work.
Thank you!
Great video Daniel. Thanks for shining a light on Hammer! Where did you find Dracula, Prince of Darkness? There have been two releases? Who released it, Shout and?
Thank you! So my Prince of Darkness blu ray was released by Millennium Entertainment in 2013.
As a lifelong Hammer horror fan, I really enjoyed this video. Have you seen that Imprint 4-movie box set? It features four films packed with a plethora of extras not available on any of the UK and US releases.
I don't own it, but I have seen the movies. Love Twins of Evil and Vampire Circus, but am less of a fan of Countess Dracula and Hands of the Ripper. But I'll give them another chance one of these days. Thanks for watching and for the kind words!
Really like "Five million years to Earth" AKA ( Quartermas and the pit) Yeah Sci- Fi. My Favorite horror is "The Gorgon" just loved in as a kid ( OMG fifty years ago) was scared to watch in again as I suspected it would be Lame ,but except for " The fully erect head" it's great and still my favorite, ( great soundtrack) also
The Gorgon is AMAZING. I’m a huge fan.
Phantom of the opera, you should have mentioned the great Herbert Lom.
You can hear me mention Herbert Lom in my Top 10 Hammer video. 👍
Scars of Dracula is the fifth installment of Lee as Dracula for Hammer, not the sixth.
The fifth with Lee, but the sixth in the franchise. Thanks for watching!
Can you help me find a movie title that I saw on TV when I was about 5 or 6 in the early 70's. I am sure it was Hammer. A monster lived in a cellar and his sister or sisters controlled it. Does this ring a bell?
Unfortunately it doesn’t, but I’ll circle back here if I think of it. Thanks for watching!
1971 Tigon movie, The Beast In The Cellar starring Beryl Reid & Flora Robson 😉
@@scarystardust6095 God Bless you!
Very welcome my friend ☺️
Looking for a hammer film where a sailing ship gets stranded off coat of weird island and there are strange things in water around boat. Anyone remember this hammer film and know the name?
Hmmm, I don't recall a Hammer film like that. Could you be thinking of Hitchcock's Lifeboat?
The Nanny is a good one you don't have there
Yep, I need to see that one. Thanks for watching!
Ah! Another Hammer fan. You should do a "top ten Hammer horror films" video. Do you have She or The Gorgon?
Great idea! I do have The Gorgon (love it), but not She.
@@cobwebschannel Some top 10 considerations - Dracula, Curse of Frankenstein, Quatermass and the Pit , Twins of Evil, Blood on the Mummy's Tomb, Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde.
Yep, most of those would probably be on my list. Awesome movies. I’m going to get to that video soon!
Try X-the unknown.
