⁴ᴷ MTA NYCT Queens Buses: 2023-2024 Nova Bus LFS SmartBus Action (9-10/2023)

To begin replacing the 2006-2007 Orion VII 2G+ HEV's for good, and not lose fleet in the process but rather get it back, the first 2023-2024 Nova Bus LFS SmartBuses were delivered to Baisley Park depot in Fall 2023, being the first Nova Buses to ever be delivered under MTA Bus Company, and the first standard 40 foot buses delivered to MTA Bus Company new since 2015, with the last fleet of cooperate scheme XD40's. At the same time, these Nova Buses are also expected to replace Baisley Park's entire fleet of Orion VII NG HEV's as well, making them Baisley Park's full replacement for both fleets. At the same time not long after, JFK Depot had also gotten their first Nova Bus LFS' and had started service with them as soon as operators were eligible to drive them. JFK's allotment is to do the same thing, except instead of the whole fleet being LFS', 2024 XD40's (not delivered at the time of this recording) were to also follow suit, and fully replace all Orion VII's in both JFK and Far Rockaway as well. In the future with the option order, LaGuardia is expected to be the last depot to receive these buses to help replace all of their Orion VII NG's, alongside the 2024 XD40's as well. #mtabus
