Lyrics:
Lights widen out
Casting down shadows of doubt
God, give me time
Cause I'm running low on these hours of mine
Change, it hurts for some
But I'm counting on what's yet to come
Marching to the end, I thought
Then I found a place, a place to start
Marching to the end
Or so it seemed
Then I found a place to build a dream
Marching to the end
We're marching to begin
If it can't change we'll leave it out
If it won't break, we'll bleed it out
If it can't wait, we'll see it out
We're gonna make believe it out
Marching to the end
We're marching to begin Видеоклипы
This album came out prior to mothers passing. I remember this song playing as I was driving thru the rain to see her in the hospital during her final couple days. This band has provided the soundtrack to my life for the last 10 years I’ve known them. I can’t be anymore thankful. Mutemath forever
2020 still here. My favorite band of all time. They’ve been there for me for ages. Everything changes, Mutemath remains. If this was truly the end, thank you. THANK YOU. ❤️❤️
mutemath is my all time favorite band.
it's a close call for me. this band Led Zeppelin, Switchfoot are the top3. great music.
same here. always will be.
My favorite song off this album. I am a sucker for the mutemath album closer.
Cameron Shaughnessy Me too. My favorite song on Vitals is "Remain". Amazing closing song.
This song is slept on so hard. It's too bad, this is probably one of the most well-orchestrated songs of all time.
Lights widen out
Casting down shadows of doubt
God, give me time
Cause I'm running low on these hours of mine
Change, it hurts for some
But I'm counting on what's yet to come
Marching to the end
I thought
I found a place
A place to start
Marching to the end
Or so it seemed
Then I found a place
To build a dream
Marching to the end
We're marching to begin, oh
Marching to the end
We're marching to begin, oh
If it can't change, we'll leave it out
If it won't break, we'll bleed it out
If it can't wait, we'll see it out
We're gonna make believe it out
If it can't change, we'll leave it out
If it won't break, we'll bleed it out
If it can't wait, we'll see it out
We're gonna make believe it out
Marching to the end
We're marching to begin, oh
Marching to the end
We're marching to begin, oh
If it can't change, we'll leave it out
If it won't break we'll bleed it out
If it can't wait, we'll see it out
We're gonna make believe it out
If it can't change, we'll leave it out
If it won't break we'll bleed it out
If it can't wait, we'll see it out
We're gonna make believe it out
If it can't change, we'll leave it out
If it won't break we'll bleed it out
If it can't wait, we'll see it out
We're gonna make believe it out
If it can't change, we'll leave it out
If it won't break we'll bleed it out
If it can't wait, we'll see it out
We're gonna make believe it out
thanks for the lyrics!.
this might be a bit of a stretch, but for me it was really cool.
At 5:37, when the vocals suddenly cut out, I faded out this window and faded in "Afterward" from their Reset - EP. It was kind of a cool little thing, it just really kinda reflected that same kind of hopeful yet airy, spaced-out vibe. And I love mixing together new and old :)
Anyway, I absolutely love this track. Mutemath is so good at writing closing songs. And just writing songs in general.
Mutemath is so good.
I will never get bored listening to this
This song makes me emotional. I've had my heart broken before and would always listen to Mutemath to cheer me up. But now the heartbreak comes from Mutemath. So I didn't really want to hear this song, but man it's such a beautiful song musically and lyrically. Marching to the end, we're marching to begin. I want nothing but the best for this band. I hope they continue to make music that I can run to during heartbreaks.
It is a heart expander! It has that reaching pouring out spiritually feel..
This song hurts more than any other. I as well used to run to their music in heartache. You put it perfectly.
"Is the race almost over"
🇨🇵 A friend told me about this music a year ago and it has become my favorite music. She is so beautiful...
Can't stop listening. Love all of your songs. Started with Chaos back in the days, and I am happy I've never stopped listening to your beautiful music. Thank you for everything!
This is a hauntingly magnificent song - love the church like organ intro. Takes me to my childhood when we marched silently into the church pews for afternoon mass, where once there, daydreaming would commence. Please keep touching my soul.
This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. All the best to you guys. This is incredible.
This song is beautiful.
I'm thankful for what I got from Mutemath. Mutemath is different now. I have to wait and see what they become. Maybe they will make music that will be special to me like the Mutemath music I already have.
SomeLittleShoe Forever grateful here; the soundtrack to countless drives home during tumultuous periods in my life. Understanding the dynamic has changed, I'm still open to giving whatever the band tries a fair chance, and am just glad I get to see the rawness of US show #1 on Thursday.
you won't be disappointed. just remember, NOTHING remains the same.
No band remains the same. This song is beautiful and you get lost in it. What more can you ask for?
The feeling of loosing yourself falling under endlessly after a heartbreak. Thank God mutemath here's with me to help me. ❤️
An absolutely masterpiece is what this is omg so bloody lovely
best closer of 2017
I've always been such a fan. The recent changes make me a bit sad - such a fantastic band with immense talent and a unique sound. No one like MuteMath. Please, guys, keep keeping on. Your huge sound means the world to many out there.
Hutch did a good job and has big shoes to fill . The saint louis show last night was great
Damn what a composition!!! There's no better indie band than these guys, period!
another great song full of the Truth. thank you MM!.
So beautiful
I'll always love you guys. Music is forever. ✊🏽
This is so good
Liked this one on first listen. Sidenote 4 Mr. Bateman... the layering is really nice... Keys & Vox.
Gorgeous!!
I don't know why this hasn't become the #1 CD.
SomeLittleShoe That is due towards the fact that major labels fear them. They do not bend towards the will of being sheep-herded. They enjoyed exploring their musical boundaries & even the limitations of such. That is why they've mainly been on "major" independent labels. Due to that & the fact of them not being little replaceable toy soldiers, they weren't given strong promotion. Only those whom really love music & willing to try different material were the ones giving them shots & championing them. You can honestly say that you don't hear their music on the radio(normal or satellite) that often. Rumor was that the labels were scared of bestowing Coldplay-like power towards another modern band. Either way, it was a criminally crying shame that true talent can't be openly pushed often in this modern day. Sorry for leaving this pseudo-essay as a response.
MiSo Scraben couldn’t agree more. Mutemath was. They were great. To all MM fans, let’s keep this out secret and our little gem.
Coldplay vibe i love it
best album since armistice

You can feel what the band is feeling from this song. I'm sure having DK leaving the group left a big identity crisis on the band, giving the lyrics so much meaning in how Paul and Roy are experiencing the whole ordeal.
This is probably going to be the last MuteMath album.
I have a massive fear this might be true. But I hope it isn't.
It is but Paul is going to keep it alive on his terms. On a recent Instagram live feed he was saying that we can expect a full length album in 2020

Golaaa
I want to hear Peter Cetera cover this.

finding out about this band in 2020 to find out theyve disbanded 😑
Sounds like "Bandito" of twenty one pilots
Finally I'm not the only one
Paul helped in the production of Trench, if I remember correctly. Paul's production is also reason why I love trench
This sounds a lot like bandito by 21 pilots
its Floyd - Paul contributed to the mix on all of the songs on Trench. So it makes sense that there will be some similarities
@@artisteric I learned that a while ago
