Hi thanks for the video!Just change the heat exchangers and gaskets? Or do you also need to change the plastic case..? Aftermarket parts are okay? Thank you
@@asherring88 it depends on the car for N47 F30, F10 - 2h manual transmission F30, F10 -2.5 h automatic transmission X3 E83 - 4h X3 F25 - 2h These are real times, I don't know how much they are regulated in the regulations.
@@JHAMS.001-car-repairhey! Do you know that is possible to remove the cooler without disassembly the intake mainfold and this coolant pipe ? In case of F10 ?
I don't use a torque wrench in these conditions because the position doesn't allow it, but because the screws are 8mm, I think the torque must be somewhere between 25NM and 30NM.
Why did you remove intake manifold. Was it because it was automatic? I have seen videos of N47 3 Series 2010 done without removing intake but it was with manual gearbox
In order to have easy access to all the screws and clean the exhaust area well, the manufacturer gives as a solution for replacing these gaskets the removal of the intake.
Nice simple video thank you!!✊
Mine leaks coolant in that area, not oil. Replaced all gaskets and still leaks.
Could be one of the cracked oil coolers
This looks like a nightmare of a job. Do you recommend doing it preventatively when the intake manifold is removed for carbon cleanup?
Thanks for the video. Would this allow oil to get into the coolant system?
