Lyrics:
Come and see
I swear by now i'm playing time
I against my troubles
I'm coming slow but speeding
Do you wish a dance and while i'm
In the front
The play on time is won
But the difficulty is coming here
I will go in this way
And find my own way out
I wont tell you to stay
But i'm coming to much more
Me
All at once the ghosts come back
Reeling in you now
What if they came down crushing
Remember when i used to play for
All of the loneliness that nobody
Notice now
I'm begging slow i'm coming here
Only waiting i wanted to stay
I wanted to play
I wanted to love you
I'm only this far
And only tomorrow leads my way
I'm coming waltzing back and moving into your head
Please, i wouldnt pass this by
I would take any more than
What sort of man goes by
I will bring water
Why wont you ever be glad
It melts into wonder
I came in praying for you
Why wont you run
In the rain and play
Let the tears splash all over you

This performance shoujld be called, "Rest in peace, LeRoi. I got this. Love, Jeff."
DMB is in their own category and on another level. Proof in literally that no other band has come along or will ever come along to challenge their sound and uniqueness and talent. It like the 6 time Championship Chicago Bulls dream team of musicians came together.
If there's anything sexier than this jam, it's Carter's smile. Dude gets me every time. He always looks so happy and grateful.
Amy yes gets me too and I’m a male person. Haha
you can see the joy passing from person to person in the band, it's so contagious too, just tons of uplifted happy people in the same place ~♥♫
Those dimples
❤
No human being enjoys his job more than Carter Beauford.
It's wild how incredibly underrated Carter is, he's almost never mentioned in those "great drummer" conversations... he's an absolute monster
I said that to someone I know and he rolled his eyes back. Like ya OK. I’m not friends with him anymore ha.
He is also the happiest drummer I've ever seen.
Yeah I’m glad he is known more now. I’ve always loved his killer smile and I wonder what gum he chews on stage and how many pieces he goes through….
One of the best in the world.
He's known widely as one of the greatest rock drummers of all time and one of the greatest of any generation alive on the planet. It's automatic for nearly every musician to name him as important and great and unique and important and amazing live and on record when the topic of influential drummers comes up. Also, he's really young here, and what I said has been true for at least as long as this recording is old.
ladies and gentleman of the court...
I give you exhibit A of what "the worlds best drummer" looks like.
RIP Neil
Warren Mixon heck yeah, Carter Beauford is the man!
Can we put him above John Bonham? I think we might can, and I saw Led in concert last time together in 76. Saxophone man is the best. He's blowing my mind!
@@RJs_CC Neil was alive when this concert was performed. So what's your point?
Tenatu so was Ginger Baker!
This is the best #41 ever! Please prove me wrong!
This is a great version, dont get me wrong, but the Ottawa 2001 version with the flecktones is heaven.
@@thatmatt41 off to find it now, thanks 👍
@@JayDizzle41 Mistyped that haha it's 4/20/02 not 2001
There are literally hundreds of live versions of this song. Think I just found my new favorite.
Coffin’s solo is the most amazing things I’ve ever heard in my life. He absolutely shredded it……
Everytime i hear this song I am transported back to the first time I heard it live...same emotions, same goosebumps...the shows are just so epic
EVERYTIME!!!! U said it perfectly
❤ I can't wait to see them live
Someone made the comment about Dave placing himself in the background while he allows all these wonderful musicians to do what they do. Dave is talented in so many ways, yet he does lay back and promotes his band's talents. I love to see and hear so many talented musicians having fun and doing what they do best. DMB took music to a new level. I grew up on jazz and needed no affirmation, but Dave and his band made jazz popular, enjoyable and listenable. Is that a word? Who cares?
There's music coming from everywhere and that drummer keeping it all together. That whole band had their sh!t completely together!!!
Leroi 4 life! Still dancing with the Groo Grux King 2019!
Nothing better to lift your mood than to watch these musicians loving what they do.
He has inspired me Not to be any part of suicide period . He has helped me stay alive ...is such a good place to be. . . Really has done me wonders "simply put friends 😅 Bless all musicians ! They too are like Doctors aren't they. .😊
First after quarantine, I'm catching a a Dave show!
Yep, same here! Then a Tedeschi Trucks Band show. Then . . . .
Im already looking into tickets
@@damianbiondo812 Both incredible live shows. TTB jams FAR less nowadays. DMB, however, has always jammed out everything live and it's amazing.
Welp it’ll probably be next year
Yessss, INDEED!!!!
I’m not kidding when I say I listen to this song at least once a day... this is my jam was introduced to me in 2009 and I fell in love... this is the best video of this song that I’ve found... the only down fall is that I compare other bands to this song... and if I found this song in 2009 ... are there others like it I’m not hyped to...
There are not.
Seriously, that's one of the coolest conversations in music I have ever seen. You could fall in love with the drummers soul immediately...for starters.
Those opening hats get me evry tim
Hell yes
His name is Carter
Pure musical joy right here
Incredible...probably best live performance of any band period!
Definitely.
Wow. 15 years ago. What a performance. And when Tim Reynolds lets go of the brakes, it sends shivers down my spine. I can loop Tim's solo for hours
I get into a different zone when I listen to this it puts me in the clouds , sooo soothing !!!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Best band in the world
Goosebumps.
This Vibe is always Healing!! Thank you for this gift
This is beautiful
THE BEST VERSION EVER. IVE BEEN TO 50 SHOWS AND IVE NEVER HEARD A 41 SO GOOD UNREAL.
Sensacional 👏👏👏 dave Matheus band senhoras e senhores
Absolute favorite DMB song since the very 1st time.......
There's not enough Jim Beam to hate these guys. Just so awesome!
One of the most beautiful moments in ourstory!THANKS 👊🍻🐈🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It’s so killer when they cut to an audience shot and people are crying like that’s what’s up. One of these days few real musicians who is actually an artist
Swear I saw Dave wipe a tear at the end of coffins sax...maybe it was sweat?...Something happening here tho 👍
This Carter and Jeff duo make me chills EVERY FCKN TIME!!!!!!
For the GRUGRUX KING! we will never forget him R.I.P brother
Mother and Father of all creation are here in person luv to meet u!
Carter Beauford and his ever-present smile..!
Thank you guys for creating the soundtrack to my life.
The sax player does LeRoi Moore proud, even though he was irreplaceable.
That's why it's special. Jeff knows that, he is not there to replace LeRoi, he plays his own style and still amazing but in a different way
Watching videos where both Jeff and LeRoi are playing, you can see LeRoi watching Jeff and see the utter pride and respect on his face. Dude knew he was playing with an equal, someone deserving to succeed him
DMB ROCKS!!! #1 favorite
Jesús. Cárter is a monster 😦
Holy shit!!! What an experience!!!!!
DMB's music makes me alive when I'm alone and hopeless. Thank you so much DMB for your music
Best band ever put together period.

RIP LeRoi. Coffin is one of the best rock saxophonists ever, but I still miss the original lineup.
The horns are awesome
All of his music can be defined through all generations as his
Magnum Opus'
wauuuuu ,que buen sonido ,excelentes musicos ,sonidos que perduran en el tiempo
Carter & Jeff...aaaahhhh!!!!! Unfriggenbelievable! I can't get enough!
That's true quality music and art
By far the best camera / switch board shots I've seen. Each band member gets camera time!
Ach du! Der Geige Mann!! 😍
I just want to be as happy in life as Carter is in this song.
that double bass and cymbal got me....dammmmmmmm
DAMN SON... TIM IS IN THE SPIRIT WORLD
Sick as fuck. Perfect. Kit vs. Baritone battle was insane! Thanks for all the fantastic groove DMB!!!
Thank Jehovah and Jesus Christ enjoy life forever

Loving the way Carter Beauford blows a massive bubble with his chewing gum at 18:37 haha!

Chills!
I need a cigarette after that drum and sax jam 🥁 🎷
Carter is my GOAT drummer.
Wow
Wow
Wow
👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷
El grupo que me habría gustado tener❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jeff coffin definitely plays part of a Bela Fleck song for the start of the extended Jam. But it's late at night and I only feel like searching so much right now. Who knows what it is?
Fanf#%kinigtastic!!! Yes!!!
Carter Beauford is the best drummer I have ever heard.
It's amazing how good of live performers these guys are. And still I've seen alot of people shag them off like they're just some group. They're much more unappreciated and underrated than they should be. DMB is so good. A breath of fresh air from the garbage "music" that makes up pop culture.
Bass cat. Amazing.
I’m gonna sing with cream of wheat in my mouth and be a star
Carter’s usual “sweat is pouring in to my eyes but I hardly care” squint
w-t-f!!!!!
still jammin in 2022
Esto es increible
This song in many versions has always grounded me. While in the military it help me unplug from the chaos, death and destruction, it accompanied my cries at rock-bottom, it has brought peace to me in recovery. Thank you DMB for contributing a constant when I needed.
::: Thank you, Omar. Music helps to heal the ungodly horrors of this world.
Omar, I can feel you. Dave got me through my first deployment back in 2003. He's been my rock every since. Whenever I need to get out of my head I just put DMV on and turn it up and I'm good.
Thank you Omar!
@@ronaldjohnson7054 Thank you Ronald!
Thanks for your service Omar. There are people out there that appreciate you more than you know.
This is an absolute masterclass in live performance. Doesn't get any better than that.
Agreed. Pure dominance. And the way they smile during all of it, it’s like “man I can’t believe I’m involved in this.”
Thank You Dave and DMB for this song ….I come back so many time’s to hear! !!!!!
Or…..if DMB were to play Red Rocks ……..
Play Red Rocks again !!!!!!
Who is watching in 2024? ❤
I just started LISTENING to DMB last year, after like 30 years of casually listening to a few songs a few times a year. This is my new favorite DMB song now.
Me ❤
🙋🏻♂️
I am
Headed for the Gorge soon!
I believe this may be the best version of this song I've ever heard. I'm constantly astounded at the level of musicianship. Off the charts! Stefan is truly an under rated marvel on the bass. He's so tight with Carter yet plays so many tasty licks throughout.
41 from listener supported was, is, and always be the best version off all time, this one is good, but 20 mins is too much, the one from listener supported are 10 mins of pure joy. this one as a bit of dead and boring moments. but its just my opinion.
@@danielnobremartins1497 you are so correct. I am seeing DMB this summer, and hopefully I am not disappointed.
Don’t be hatin bro. The fook. Jeffery and Beauford are killin shit.. hands down my favorite version of this song. Second is with The Flecktones. A lot of shining on this one. -Kevin Bacon
Daniel Nobre Martins You know what’s dead and boring? A fukn jughead tryna be a critic!

Dave Matthew’s helped me get sober in 2002. I was in a rehab & 1 of the patients let me listen to his head set, his music calmed my soul. Been sober since 2002. Thank you Dave .
Good for you, man! Stay sober! I lost my son to alcoholism. DMB was what we listened to through his teen years. I still listen to them. Their music brings back lots of memories.
YOU HELPED YOU GET SOBER KEEP ON KEEPING ON , THERE IS A THING WITH MUSIC IT SOOTHES THE SOUL I GET WHAT YOUR SAYING
