Don't know how many times I've listened to this version of Seek Up, but DMB are on it. The musicianship is second to none and they are so tight. DMB are a special band, especially that iteration.
When my 7 month old grandson can’t sleep or is cranky I put him in his stroller, play this song and walk him around the block. Puts him right to sleep.
So well played. They were enjoying the song. I havent heard or seen another version as this one ever. This is the best version of this music ever ever.
Nothing like the good old days when the band was so young and yet there still kicking ass. Love them so much. Now, then, forever and always. XO XO ❤️💜 Samantha
Seek up is my #1 too(although the original red rocks is my fav). Saw them years ago in Connecticut and they played this(the show became live trax 3) and it was like a religious experience for me haha, it’s been my favorite ever since
This dmb band been gone since LeRoi passed . Never been the same since he left . Still never heard a solo better than the one leRoi did in this one . He was so talented and made everything come together so well. Rip… fuck atvs…
I agree. The new horn section is too professional, they have no heart. Jeff brings it sometimes, but Rashon always looks like he's worried and tight. Roi just let it fly and it was always emotional and flowing.
Been awhile since I’ve seen this. Top of their game at this time. Absolutely unreal musicianship. Not a tighter band then DMB when they were in their prime!! Such a gorgeous version and high quality recording here! Bass and drums so nice sounding!
Been into this band for 5 years and I’m also 26 (not that it matters lol) but this band has not lost their punch. So good live, cannot wait for the new album and summer2023!! Peace and much LoVE to y’all! #seeyouontheroad 🤙🏻❤️
@@ScottBaietti buddy is a bit strong for me, same with coffin. A little too loud and not the same groove as the rest of the band at times. I like the quiet energy of butch and grux. And Boyd was amazing too with interesting musicianship. I guess his personality didn’t work with the rest of the guys but dang it’d be nice to see a reunion.
I requested this and proudest Monkey on Carter’s bus prior. True story. He pointed me and my cousin. Super surreal. These were The apex year. I miss. Thank you.
I wish I would have seen them in those days. Started listening around 2006, didn't see them until 2019 for the first time. But I was glad to finally attend a live show!
Tough to beat Red Rocks Seek Up but I might have a new favorite here! When I first got my driver's license, I just ripped around my New England town blaring this song and howling out the moon roof! 😂
I so miss Leroi and Boyd. Jeff and Buddy are awesome, but they will never replace Leroi or Boyd. They were next level, and we didn't realize it when we had it
Carter Beauford is his name, and not only is he always smiling, he's always chewing gum and blowing bubbles while playing...one of the best drummer's of all time...🌬💨☝🏼💜
one of the most beautiful pieces of music by any band, ever!
You are SO right!
I turn to this exact video for when I'm feeling 'down', OR, need a 'pick me up'!
Fully agree
And that is no shit!

Listen to the Hartford Connecticut version
everyone on this planet should see this...

It doesn't get better than Roi on the Soprano. The TONE. 2002 was such a good year
So....so....so...many emotions......this is not only music.....it's art as it's highest form......god bless you talented teachers......

Love this band … Seek up is one of my favs🎵🎵🎵
My absolute favorite version of my absolute favorite DMB song. Epic.

something about these years around 2002. Love these with Leroy. Brings back so many memories. Beautiful music!

Just attended Dmbtour2022 they are still in their prime!
@@Wynsleydale agreed they are unrestrained and blissful playing together!

"Their prime" = 1997 - present
@@brianlarose6110 I see them every year still. The 2022 version of Seek Up I saw can’t touch this. Still love them, but this video was a special time.
Let’s give props to Butch. He was the perfect compliment to this band. I miss his jazzy sound to this day.
This was almost the best version of this band ever. I would say Rashawn with his trumpet and leroy and butch and boyd, all together, best jams ever.
I really like the textures and energy that Buddy adds. Sad I never got to see Butch in person, but Buddy is a decent consolation.

Absolutely No doubt, my man. This is/was BY FAR, the best version of DMB, period. IMHO 😂.
The core 5 plus butch was, in my opinion, the best sounding years of dmb
I requested this and proudest

God how I miss this version of the DMB lineup. I feel blessed to have seen so many shows from 2001-2013. Those were the days. RIP GrooGrux King 💜👑

just listening to this now, but have to agree the Red Rocks 95 DMB album is an all time great.
Respect
Not only is this one of the best Seek Up's ever, but the mix is incredible. Butch, Carter, Dave, & Stefan perfectly mixed at 16:38
🔥Wow🔥
Truly is DMB BEST version of Seek 🤙
I tuned out around 2005 (was my last show) but seeing this 02’ is splendid . They play so well altogether at this point
I so miss Leroi and Boyd. Jeff and Buddy are awesome, but they will never replace Leroi or Boyd. They were next level, and we didn't realize it when we had it
unreal song really changed me
This is heavenly, even for this agnostic boy.
And at the Gorge no less, what a perfect weekend it was.
It was ❤❤❤
@@rachelpassmore9322 It was!!
This is the ultimate lineup. It just is
Boyd crushed this. I can’t always say that. This night, yes sir.
Thats my friend Carter Beauford on the drums!
Whoa! Awesome! I remember the first time I saw them in '95, I'd never seen a drummer like him before
Superbe vidéo!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️merci beaucoup!!! Stewie 👍👍👍👍
What a Monster drummer !!! Damn kid !!!
And always with a smile on his face, gotta love Carter
Carter is a beast. All these years later and still at the top of his game. The driving force that sets the tone for the outstanding DMB. 🔥🔥👍🏾✌🏽
Carter is the best !
thank you for uploading this
One of the cleanest bands to ever do it. Razor sharp
Anyone else ever noticed...
The drummer is ALWAYS smiling?...
Hell yeah! I'd be smiling too 😎 😋

Joy. It’s joy.
Only other drummer I've noticed that always smiles like that is Mick Fleetwood. Love seeing them taking such joy in their music!
Contagious AF
Carter.... enough said, the glue
