I suffer from degenerative discs disorder, all started with a injury I have had at work. My L4 and L5 discs are calcified and bolged, the pain is excruciating. Thank you for sharing this video. 🙏🏼 Be blessed 🙌🏽 ❤❤😊
I've been in pain for so long. I continue to find the right thing to do to fix my pain, will give this a shot! I have degenerative discs. Disorder also. Thanks!
Thank you so much Brian for the simple Core exercise. That doesn't hurt your lower back. I struggle with my lower back pain while doing the core workout for years, I did it the first time and already feel my core workout. Thank you so much I am loving it.
Thank you so much for this video! I was looking for alternative ab exercises that would not place strain on my lower back and hips. I received the desired workout without strain or pain.
@@Criticalbench I had sciatic nerve pain in my lower back for months, I went to a chiropractor, I took medication, but I still could feel the pain moving around. With only two days of doing your exercises the pain is gone. I immediately subscribed and I will follow your program. Thank you so much, you saved my life! The pain was getting on my nerves! :)
Thank you for this video. No bs just important focused information. I suffer from a really really bad lower back and really weak abs muscles. I think what you are teaching here makes so much more sense. I will start incorporating all these exercises into my workout and then report back in a month if it helped.
The cat/cow was recommended to me by chiropractors in the past. The modified bicycle is definitely a huge help as I can’t do crunches without reactivating my back pain to a unbearable level. Thank you!
Great exercises and I have actually been doing most of them but I’m definitely going to incorporate all of them into my training plan. Thanks so much!!
What would you recommend for recovery with herniated discs? I used to do a ton of HIIT and then injured my back in lockdown through something non related. I couldn't walk for months and since have never fully recovered, anything I attempt puts me back to where it was after two months of recovery. It's never gone right, I've had MRIs which now show the discs are no longer herniated but I can't get back into anything exercise wise due to pain. The pain in centralised around T12-L3 but also has meant my glutes are completely tightened. Anything I do exacerbates the issue, physio has been non existent, besides a few stretches given. My spine is painful to press on and I struggle doing most things at the moment. Bending, lifting and even sleeping is a nightmare. I generally sleep on my back but if I attempt to sleep on my side the pain is centralised to lumber. Due to not being able to do much I've seen significant deterioration in my muscles which is adding to the issues. Bizarrely crossing my legs or ankles really increases the lumber pain. The only time I felt on the way to recovery was after a trip where I spent literally every single day swimming. I know this is long winded but I'm at my wit's end and have had literally zero help from doctors. My GP stated that they can see why I'm in so much pain from my MRIs but they wouldn't offer surgery due to the discs no longer being herniated.
Thanks. What do you think of the lower back stretch where you stretch your legs out and your arms out and force your lower back to the floor whilst stretching as far as you can with your arms and legs? It seems to be a really deep stretch for the lower back, but I'm just wondering if there's any dangers to it. Cheers.
Well, we do like that stretch however, this will be different from person to person depending on the health of their spine and lower back, as well as how strong their core and posterior chan are. There will be those who feel pain or discomfort doing this stretch and if that's the case they should avoid it.
"Go get it checked out"? Bro, the docs mainly refer you to PT if you've got pinched nerves/herniated discs. What do physical therapists do? They have you do pretty much these exact exercises. Don't see a chiropractor though, those are not real doctors.
@@Criticalbench Oh I'm not saying they're bad at their job, I'm saying their job is based on old-timey pseudoscience and was started as actual cult. That's like being a very skilled voodoo shaman. To be fair, lower back pain is the one area they're accidentally decent at helping. But the risks and scams outweigh the good if you're going to them for anything else. I mean, who in their right mind thinks violently wrenching someone's neck around is perfectly safe?

This appears to be eminently doable for a senior. So I’ll give it a go this evening.
Awesome! Let us know how it goes once you've given these exercises a try 👍
THIS. Thanks so much- similar to my PT from years ago!

Will using a Ab mat help with back support on cruches and sit ups??? I'm asking because I actually enjoy these exercises. Thank you 😊
The only way for you to know that is to try it out and see if it does help.
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
I’m glad I discovered your channel! You are fantastic!
Thank you for this. But I guess I won't get a 6 pack with these?
I mean if your were lean enough yeah I think you could.
question: windshield wipers, does your back have to be completely flat or can one side come up a little as you move ?
Should be flat
If you have a sticky hip (think thats ehat they call it) can you still do that bicycle routine?
Should i do these exercises daily?
I think it would depend on how sore you are, you can do them often but you also need to give yourself time to rest and recover
@@Criticalbench thanks for replying.
@@Criticalbench unrelated to my question, but what is your opinion on the torso rotation machine at Planet Fitness? Do you consider it to be harmful?
The day after these exercises I had pain on my hips on my sciatica nerves. From which exercise it could be?
I would try to strengthen your low back, and stretch your hamstrings a little more.

Why is this in my marve comicsl playist
I have really sharp pain in my lower back when I extend my left leg and I can’t seem to find an exercise that focuses on it
Have you seen a doctor or physio about this?
I have a L5 S1 disc issue. But I need work on my abs and core. Any Video recommendation?

What to do if i can't do any of these without arching ??? No matter how hard i try i can't get my lower back to the floor.
Need to continue to strengthen up your core

I wouldn't sleep on chiropractors I've met some very skilled ones
