Truly and honestly, A220 is a masterpiece Profit generator. Airbus created a massive buzz in AV world post-Pandemic and voila... 220s and 321LR/XLRs rule the sky. Fabulous
The 220:was conceived and built by Bombardier. It’s a Canadian plane. Airbus bought the rights for a paltry sum due to unfair and exorbitant US import duties but had no input whatsoever on its design and construction. Your praise should go to Bombardier not Airbus!!!
@@protocolofficer2629 You're inacorrect sir. Airbus revamped a lot of the aircraft. Granted the overall design is Bombardier, but it's so efficient because of Airbus. As someone who works with them all the time, I can see the Airbus in them. The hydraulics, fuel systems, and much of the electronics were re-vamped by Airbus to be more efficent.
@@onel6007 Very reliable? What about those multiple uncontained PW engine failures? Happened on 3 occasions. I think both the FAA and EASA should issue an Airworthiness directive for the A220 (More specifically, the Pratt & Whitney 1500 engines).
Rode a Delta A220-300 (just for the experience!) back in April, 2021. Marvelous airplane! Comfortable, quiet, HUGE windows - and the "'loo with a view!" I've now booked the inaugural JetBlue A220 BOS to SJC flight in early May, 2022.
Really fantastic b-roll in this video! The quality of the unloading/terminal timelapse and the take-off clips is phenomenal. As a longtime viewer, you can really see how these trip reports have improved.
Every time I travel up north to visit family, I fly with JetBlue. They're affordable, and their planes are comfortable. I'm 6'1 and I fit well in their regular seats.
I flew with JetBlue a few times. Amazing airline. I'm 4'11 and the legroom for me is very good. I hope they start long haul routes other than to London soon.
Jetblue is a great airline. It has already started serving to Miami, Kansas City, San Antonio, and alot of new routes and I'm hoping they will start service to Omaha Nebraska
In the 20 years that we spent a month in Florida we always used JetBlue, and the Boston to Tampa flights were on A320s. We had no complaints, and just one weather-related 4-hour delay, for which we were compensated. Once Covid is no longer a factor, I wonder if the 220 will be big enough for this route.
here’s a very delayed response. our 320’s hold 162 on the newer modified version and 150 on the older versions (which we have less than 10 flying today) and our 220’s seat 140 and cost wayyyy less and provide even more comfort than we already provide on the 320’s. our plan for the 220’s is to serve the smaller routes from our hubs as well as serve the routes that are in the medium/high demand stages more efficiently and frequently. think, jfk-btv, mco-msy, lax-sfo etc.
I love this aircraft. Flew on this twice from Dallas to Boston and back with Delta. It is quite spacious for a small plane and is quiet too. It's got nice and big windows.
Whenever the airline JetBlue is mentioned I’m always reminded of that incident where one of the airline’s planes had a landing gear malfunction and made an emergency landing where the nose gear wheels were facing sideways and caught fire. Luckily, no one was hurt and everyone made it off the plane
I absolutely love Florida, although we normally fly into Orlando, it's a beautiful State, has lovely and friendly people, the food is great and the weather is fantastic!! What more could you ask for??
Due to a recent JetBlue change they aren’t flying direct from LAX to Buffalo anymore, so I get to fly an A220 for the first time from BOS to BUF this summer. Looking forward to it!
I still don't understand that screeching noise the plane gives off every time before it takes off. Is that the engines reacting to being given full power or is it something else that I don't know about?
Simply aviation is really improving here, you guys give a map of where the departure city and destination city are, so we don't need to googling, how far is this journey
Hi Simply aviation. I've been a big fan for a very long time to prove that I am og, the first tripreport I watched was American Airlines 777 from Los Angeles to London. My question is, will you ever do a Brutally honest swiss video? Kind regards from snowy zurich❄
After watching this flight review from David compare to yesterday Simon. Simon need more experience to improved. Simon video always shaking and losing focus. David & Felix had steady hand. From 4:20 David holding the camera without any gimbal stabilizer and video recording are steady.
JetBlue Airways Airbus A220-300Series is a really kool Plane I hope to see it in Boston when this COVID-19 Passes even take a flight on the New Plane to Fort Lauderdale from Boston which is a good route for me to do Awesome Video!!!!
Hi Simply Aviation! Can you please film a trip report out of Jeddah's new airport terminal? Thanks, but make sure the airline you'll travel with flies out of terminal 1, because many airlines fly out of the old north terminal which I *really* don't recommend flying out of.
6:56 I think using your smartphone as the remote control is a brilliant idea. Screens and its remote control is really really dirty especially during this Covid times.
Nice trip report as always SimplyAviation! I recently flew the A220 between SAT - BOS on their inaugural flight. Trip report on my channel coming soon. I know you haven’t had the best experience JetBlue but I find them one of the better ones in the US.
