I’ve been a soccer fan my entire life, playing every week from with friends to pro for 25 years. But this sport is diff man. The speed and pace is unmatched! To watch and even better to play
You had me at don’t know how anybody could watch this. By best sport in world do you mean youth numbers are way way down, there are 6.5 mins of tv timeouts per period fundamentally changing the game, 2 20 minute intermissions, and the sport makes country club golf look cheap and is about 98% upper middle class white kids who, despite the somewhat competitive nature of the game, are somewhat good athletes but because it’s such a junk niche sport there are about 500 players graduating ncaa football teams this year who with 3 months of Alabama football intensity workouts could all make the nhl? Including because the nhl no longer is about distance cardio but super intense sprints cause of all the rest from ads? The sport is literally one of the biggest jokes around, you know that right?
The amount of times I’ve said this during hockey is crazy. As an adult out of hockey for awhile I thought we were talking about something else for a minute 😂

I’m happy my panther won but congratulations to the oilers making it that far. I was praying that they would win so we would have an easy opponent in the Stanley Cup finals turns out God told me no opponent will be easy. I learnt that in games for five and six.

*I'm a Golden Knights fan but, the way the Panthers played last year, made me a fan. Since VGK did not make it, I wanted the Panthers to win. They nearly gave me a stroke in Game 7. These guys climbed their way back to the top and made it happened. I'm so proud of them.*
I was at Game 7 to support the Oilers. This loss has been on my mind since the final horn and I gotta say, it stings a lot. I really believed there was no chance for the Panthers to shake off 3 straight losses. But the better team won game 7, and there's no way around that truth. I'm still unbelievably proud of the team for making it so far, but man do I wish they could've finished the job. Let's get that cup next year fellas
Panthers fans certainly knows what the word sting means considering how last year‘s Cinderella cup run ended. I think a number of Oilers fans failed to realize the grit of coming back from a three game loss, even though it happened to them this series. The reality of winning three games in a row is not only exhausting, it puts you in a place of comfort, believing that you can’t lose. Crazy to think it happened to both teams in one series. As evidence of only 18 game 7 Stanley Cup finals in history
It seems like a cliche but it really takes you losing after such a push to then eventually win it. if EDM can keep that roster intact I see no reason why they can't be in the finals again next year and with this added experience.

Yeah when I heard Jack's Radio Call about dragging back to Alberta I got chills. Miss him so much come playoffs. Not going to lie often I will mute the TV and listen to Jack calling the game on 630Ched but there is a delay doesn't quite sync up so I let it go for the panthers series. Man he must have been electric. Best thing about having a radio guy call regular season TV games is even when it's a boring game he can make it sound exciting and get you jacked up. Guess it's part of trying to get the radio listener to picture it and feel the energy in the building that they can't see or hear. Just makes a TV game so much better, playoffs are usually great hockey, no better time for that, on a broadcast.
And that is EXACLY what you need to win the Stanley Cup, HEART, FIGHT, DEDERMINATION ITS NEVER OVER till the buzzer. The Leafs players are more worried about contracts then playing hockey or being completive THUS no cup
