I had the theory that he went to sea (and got lost) because he was searching for her gf (even thought she is dead) and the boat eventually sank. He drowned and had a horrifing death, getting eated by a whale or something. He finaly rested in peace with his loved one. That is my theory but yours also fits very well. Thats why i like hawaii II, its just a complete master piece even if we dont know what exactilly hapen, is pure gold. I love your artwork so much i wish it had more vews.💞💞

Now that he’s completely alone, he really gets a chance to mourn the loss of his love, and imagining himself in the only place he can think of that makes him feel any comfort. A tropical paradise surrounded by aquatic animals But despite his perceived surroundings, he can’t get over his loneliness
Yes! Thank you for the feedback! I’ve been working on making the animatics a lot brighter. Some of the early ones you can barley see😭😭 I draw on full brightness so everything ends up so dark, but this upcoming animatic and future ones I plan on generally upping the production quality :D

I wanted to praise the linework which is consistent al throughout the animatic, giving a sense of weight to the characters and the general atmosphere (that I really appreciate) and the composition of the shots that it’s just mesmerising. After getting this part randomly recommended, I went back and watched from start to finish. I wasn't expecting myself to get very emotional. My comments talking about designs and aesthetics, talking about art complementing art- I think I was only looking at the surface. Your excellent way of storytelling gave a face to these characters, to Simon (Jimmy), and to say I enjoyed watching it all come together would be an understatement. For me, you gave more dept to Hawaii: Part II. A satisfying tribute and a well written story of your own, together. I wish I could tell you what I really felt in my own language, in English I wrote a lot to tell a lot less- I hope I wasn't annoying with my plentiful excited comments (I apologize if so) Can't wait for Dream Sweet, I am certain you will do wonders with it. It’s just my version of Simon. I named him Jimmy for some reason, but Jimmy is basically Simon. You can use Jimmy and Simon interchangeably kind of??
