Tarkov player here, I find it fascinating to see the real-world performance of the gear we use in the game, and see just how much has been changed in the name of playable "realism". Honestly I'm fine with that

@Likemybutton oh for sure, it's just interesting to see how "futuristic" armours can have all these crazy, fancy designs & concepts, but in reality, a large number of the most practical modern helmet designs still stem from 15th century sallet helmets, especially in Europe

Just make certain bullets go through things consistantly. Another point is how they implement realisim to the extent of shrapnel. If they didnt want such a realistic game, then why do they implement these very detailed elements such as pen values and shrapnel. Im not down playing this game btw, this game has been an addiction of mine for many years. I just think this game is so hardcore that getting yeeted on from bullcrap occurences like PM to the face shield sucks. The game is already hard enough for the average player.

It is only being used in the SR1MP as a regular service cartridge although there are some SMG adaptions that until now, not have surfaced in wide usage according to the public domain.
There is something about Russian helmets, their style and overall look just makes them have more sex appeal in my opinion compared to their western counterparts.

Just discovered this channel. Keep up the good work. One thing I am curious about is what the SS190 would do out of a P90. I believe the original specifications for the round was Level IIIA penetration, out of a 10-inch barrel. Perhaps the lower muzzle velocity of the round out of the Five-seveN is a contributing factor to the rounds' weaker performance in the earlier tests?

seeing these helmets makes me remember the helmet i had when i was in the Marine Corp. We never had anything like this as i am sure we would rather the mobility over the face shield. Plus using these on Tarkov is something i dont do lol.
I wonder if any of these will stop a basic fmj 7.62x39. Gost doesn't really look at the crap ammo we get over here, they only look at real PS ammo and higher so maybe it could stop a crap tulammo round.
Ah yes, these damaged helmets will be very useful for stopping any pistol rounds that may hit me in the head. If I had a nickel for everytime I've been shot in the head, I'd only have $0.05, but it's weird that it ever even happened.

i never carred about helmets but i watched all of your helmets videos cosue your videos have some sort of charisma about them and i love all of them.
I love how medieval armour is still a legitimate reference when designing modern armour and equipment. Honestly so fascinating.

The Zsh will not stop a 762 shot you will die lol
Most helmets alone cannot stop rifle rounds much less a face shield being able to.
Ulbrichts makes a 7.62x39 face shield, it looks heavy.
