As an airsoft player I want to say these videos are a very small portion of the sport. Most of the time things do not get this escalated usually when some conflict happens we just parlay and go our separate ways or try and explain things. It's more about ego than the pain. An airsoft ball does not hurt that bad, even on bare skin. I was shot with sniper rifles on bare skin. Sure, it leaves a mark the size of a goddamn tennis ball, but this is the nature of the game :))

How do you make sure a specific player is banned everywhere? Do you have to sign up online and get your name flagged? I’ve only played in Europe and we were just drop ins.
This is why I hate playing paintball and air soft. It’s fun with a group of friends but if you’re playing with strangers, there’s always dudes who take way too seriously.
The “no full auto in buildings” was probably the only one that wasn’t completely absurd. They thought someone was doing a wrong towards them, called them out for it, learned they were wrong, and walked away.
That's actually a rule in most closed spaces because you are almost exclusively in close range with each other, other than maybe a long hallway... Usually the rule is that if the person is really close you aim at them and then shout "bang" or "shoot", so there's not arguements like this... But still it's a sport where you volunteer to get shot at, and in the heat of the moment someone might not shout "bang" and instead shoot you, you can either forgive an honest mistake or be an asshole...
I had an experience like that once. Ambushed a pair of noobs, scared the crap out of them, and I ended up taking a full auto burst in the throat. I managed to choke out "No full auto...!" Kid started falling all over himself apologizing. Turns out he was using a Steyr, and they have a two stage trigger instead of an actual selector switch. He pooped his pants when I appeared out of nowhere, and just clamped down on the trigger 😅 I ended up teaming with them the rest of the night, and we had a blast together
I got into this for a very short period of time. As a vet, I didn't get along with many in the hobby. Too many wanna-be kids and keyboard ranger types. "Children fighting over a toy" is an excellent way to describe it. I sold off all my gear and never regretted it
Kind of, but not really the point. If you are boxing with someone and when the round ends you punch them in the back of the head as they are walking back to their corner, you arent justified because "punching is the point"
I remember my first (and only) experience in airsoft for my 16th Birthday and we were all shitting ourselves looking at everyone else. We all had a blast in the end and everyone there was extremely supportive and fun to play with
@@austinldail amazing, same here. We were just trying to flank our friend but never succeeded because we couldn't hold in our laughs and so they would hear us...
@Scott Y hehe.. let's imagine that you are training CQB with blanks with KASI simulator (donno whats closest thing in US or any other military) and "anything goes". You don't have luxury to "feel bad" if you get shot dead or wounded seriously. The good thing for these are that be people "playing" are actually motivated to do their job and not to whine.
If you are getting sprayed at point blank for like 7 seconds straight it would irritate the shit out of anyone. It's a constant sting that hurts like hell. It's like when you stub your toe and get mad for some reason. It's like a primal annoyance mixed with anger. Not excusing these retarded kids, not all airsoft kids are like this
So let's compare it to ice hockey. Players tackle in ice hockey. And they are "armed" with hockey sticks, and they also shoot a pretty hard puck across the ice. Now if another player uses his stick to trip you and continually pummeling you with his stick as you're struggling to get up... Would you go "hey it's just a sport bro, keep hitting me with the hockey stick"? No, you probably wouldn't. Even though going into the game you do expect some risk that you might trip over another players stick, or getting hit by one by accident. The point is that in some of these instances, the people are using their replicas or sports equipment in a rulebreaking way. The point isn't to purposefully hurt and injure your fellow players. The point is to just get them to notice that they've been hit. Sometimes that also involves some pain (like if you get shot in the nuts and didn't wear protection), but it's not the same as unloading your gun on someone outside of the game because they called you a faggot or made a dirty joke about your mom.
The no full auto in buildings rule is a safety thing. Firing at such close range, you can do some proper damage to people if you go round a corner and unload a full auto burst into their face/neck/nuts etc. I know it's not realistic, and not milsim, but it's not warfare, it's a game and we all want to go home at the end of the day. Preferably not via the hospital!

Competitive/combative sports are better for cultivating physical fitness and a healthy amount of aggression. You really do get a lot more unsportsmanlike behaviors in Airsoft than in any other kind of activities since there's no hard system to reinforce the rules for the most part.

Reason there’s rules against full auto n stuff is because at close range it can get people hurt pretty bad, and break facewear sometimes. Certain guns are pretty painful in semi and I lost part of a tooth playing at one point where a gas powered gun went through my mask at close range
Biliary Clinton There’s AEGs, Airsoft Electric Guns, battery powered, full auto or semi, can be weak or pretty powerful. Most affordable option. HPAs, or high powered air guns, more powerful, very distinct sound, expensive and you have a tank on your back of air. Gas blowbacks, expensive and mostly a gimmick weapon, but powerful. Then there’s bolt actions and some speciality weapons. Most really high FPS guns have an engagement distance you’ve gotta follow, like no shooting with a light machinegun within 50 ft, or with a sniper rifle. There’s pistols, gas powered, or Co2 powered, but they’re generally not terrible to get hit by. There’s also M203’s and other grenade launchers, that can fire a cloud of bbs at lower FPS. Usually the weapon doesn’t determine who wins, it’s usually the skill of the players or the map knowledge, my facewear wasn’t the best for airsoft at the time, so it was kinda my fault as well. I was new to the sport.
@Biliary Clinton Most matches have engagement distances for the weapons. A plastic BB out of a long range airsoft gun will easily penetrate skin and at point blank ranges can cause air injection wounds, A very dangerous condition. most Local clubs rules are if you have a weapon that shoots over a "x" feet per second you cannot engage with that weapon under "X" distance and must instead call "bang" Or "Kill" Or use a side arm that has less feet per second. Unfortunatly in all sports there are dickheads, and cheats... The guy who sneaks in a head butt or foot stomp in a clinch while boxing, or The guy who drops his hip into the knee in grid iron, league or rugby. Just remember these guys are tiny minorities that the fanfare of youtube seem to make them appear as the standard. When played fair air soft actually hurts less than paint ball, and is far more diverse in its tactics and game plays. Give both a go, Don't bother waiting on planing a huge trip with friends just get started.
It’s to keep people from having permanent injuries. Nobody wants to go blind from airsoft. You’re being a bit ignorant here. Not everyone plays it for a war experience.

I remember playing airsoft with a group of friends. We actually had something we called the gauntlet where you had to run through everyone shooting at you and try not to get hit.
Hahahaha, we had one similar called TERMINATOR. The Terminator played against everyone if the Terminator shot you then your out, the Terminator can stay on the game as long as he can take the hits or the pain. Male Terminators are allowed to wear a cup and if theirs a female who wished to play the Terminator she is allowed to wear a breast plate and a cup or protective gear similar to a cup. In one game I played in the person who played terminator played against 12 apponents, he killed 10 before surrendering he just couldn't take the pain and catch the last 2 who was using hit and run tactics. Poor terminator looked like he ran into a bees nest hahaha. Atleast back in those days we had good sportsmanship and the players guns were chronographed.
@@sgtrock19delta The airsoft place I used to play at chronographed your guns for the indoor field only. The outdoor area had no maximum FPS ratings. But just about everyone there when running at least .20g BB's would top out around 360 fps. A few people including myself had guns that could push higher but they did have a minimum engagement distance rule in place for outdoor. Much like a lot of CQB only fields require you to say "bang" or something instead of shooting they had a similar rule for outdoors when within 5 feet or less. These kinds of things were going on when I was actively playing just not where I played. So no idea whats wrong with some people.
"You're gonna get shot if you're playing airsoft, it may not be where your body armor is, suck it up cupcake" This should be engraved into every airsoft player's head
I don't need that, I'm well aware of the fact that airsoft guns have limited accuracy in general and on top of that people tend to shoot even more inaccurate under stress in an airsoft match, and painful hits happen! I've taken several REALLY painful hits where all I did was flinch and call my hit as I was supposed to! I've even taken one to the tip of my *D!CK* and *LAUGHED* about it like everyone around me once I told them what happened! If ppl can't take it they shouldn't be playing, simple as that!

I managed to choke out "No full auto...!"

@@dantheasian5060 ouchys...wah wah wah...spoonfeeders
People get angry simply getting up in the morning.

At this facility close range shots were a no no but one guy decides to go right up to another player and shoot him point blank, he was given a warning but did it again, the instructor lost his shit on the guy. Airsoft has been a much more pleasant experience overall though
I agree. I've seen little fights, but they are usually solved fairly quickly.
Great way to get banned of a field tho
Airsoft used to be fun, but shit like this is exactly why I stopped playing.
same thing with paintball.
Yeah there’s too many jerks playing
@@yurifrommw215 too many bad sports in it, too many people who cant accept that they got hit
Thats a shame ..sore.losers with no discipline or ability to control themselves..
yeah stupid ass people started playing, and it ruined it huh?
Your facial expression watching all this is priceless!
I love all their “tactical” gear... when I play I wear a gold puffer vest, rave goggles, and sport a gold Tec 9
Ive never played airsoft. But have been paintballing a few times. I'm the dumbass that makes myself a target. Cutoff shirt and a wig if I got one around lol. Not ballsy enough for the short shorts though
Remember playing Airsoft for the first time, the regulars there were wearing full mill gear carrying a side arm smoke grenades the lot, our first match was a TDM in some small make shift arena, I can tell you now these people had almost no awareness, it was too easy winning against them and we were a team with the stock M4 like weapons and a brown/green boiler suit with holes in it 😂
@@jakelindy3939 BECOME PAINT RHODESIAN
I used to play paintball against a guy called Youngblood who wore a silver business suit and had a huge chrome gun...he didnt bother hiding
@@jakelindy3939 have you seen cammans vid? Some guy went in wearing absolutely nothing but a g string, at least i think it was camma
I remember playing airsoft with a group of friends. We actually had something we called the gauntlet where you had to run through everyone shooting at you and try not to get hit.
Dude I love gauntlet.
Thats how you got initiated onto our paintball team too
I just had my older brother and his friend pelt me as I ran away. Didn’t feel too good cuz five year old me didn’t like to wear clothes
"Somebody just needs to get punched in the mouth...i dunno what all this is about" lol
7:50 No this is not normal I have had a situation like this when after the match the enemy team was still firing.
there is always a dbag in the bunch. Looks like a fun sport with friends. Randos who are whiners need not leave the basement.
@Khaki Shorts I mean I've been shot point blank by a 500 fps revolver, that gave me a gold ball size welt and I still have the scar from it 2 years later
I like how herobrine is telling me this
@@etherealborn3963 Lessons from Herobrine are valuable.
That's why I bring dick armour

This man could single-handedly solve any airsoft disputes.
*Especially with a gun in that hand*
I would love to see him and a group of his Marine buddies go to town on an airsoft event.
