Explanation for the lack of drop: Airsoft guns have something that we call a "Hop up", that gives the BBs a backwards spin as they're fired. Once they leave the barrel they're subject to the magnus effect, which gives them some lift and allows them to fly further. That Hop up is usually adjustable and there are different BB weights to choose from. A lighter BB means a higher velocity but also more influence from wind. And the lighter BBs also lose energy quicker than the heavier ones which can actually reduce ur range. The heavier BBs fly slower but also straighter coz the wind doesn't push them off quite as easily, and they maintain their energy for longer, meaning the person who gets hit is more likely to feel it. That's why snipers, who can almost always have much higher velocities than the other players using other types of guns, usually use much heavier BBs in their guns (I think the heaviest commercially available BBs currently weigh 0.48 grams, whereas the less powerful guns usually use BBs in the 0.2 gram - 0.28 gram range). Btw, that one guy where u thought he wasn't wearing eye pro actually was, it was just hard to see.
That rapid-fire thing used in the last clip is called the 40-mike. it launches 200 bbs in less than a second. it hurts like hell, especially when used close-range. There are videos of huge guys taking it to the back at 10 meters and falling over in pain. the guy who got hit by it took it extremely well.

Depending on the distance, getting hit on the head is like getting hit by a rock. Heavier BBs and higher joules, fps. And yes, you see stars and drop. 😂 That's why I bought a helmet...
Yeap Machine gun has its place, despite it being heavier and cumbersome to operate compared to smaller assault rifles, smg's and such. On weekend game there is not much of benefit, but on the milsim where LMG shines with its suppression ability, specially if rules are set to prevent those laser beam like HPA setups from using such high rate of fire. My personal best was partially told by buddy who has on the side line getting view what happened. I was playing LMG on weekend game, started to walk past the building corner, enemy group saw the flash hider started to stop confused, barrel comes to view, i get rised eyebrows, more barrel comes to view even more lifted eye brows, assault drum and frame of Jugoslavian MG53 comes to view all of its glory, met with utter panic and confusion from the enemy who realized what they are looking and started to rise their weapons, pulled trigger and mowed whole squad down before they got their weapons up and probably from the impact shock and volume front guys just turned away rather than try shoot back while officially knocked out. FYI Real MG 53 deactivated and then later deactivations removed, grip splitted and widened for ver.3 gearbox, barrel removed except the holding plug of the barrel that has pipe welded to it, AK hop up and barrel, m249 drum mag modified into real assault drum holding around 1000 bb's. Its a heavy, its cumbersome, ITS FUCKING AWESOME. Still considering what ever to get new real grip and make it HPA setup witch would fit to nature of the gun real well, but that would mean tanks to be carried top of the gun and extra bb's XD

That zip that hit the “Airsoft dude” was an Airsoft grenade launcher, and in Airsoft a grenade launcher is basically just a really fast burst with a lot of BBs
Airsoft sniper rifles pretty much max out at 110m / 360 feet with the muzzle velocity rules in place, and then we're talking about top of the line rifles, lathed and custom fitted, firing heavy balls (up to .50 grams, while "normal" BBs are .20 grams). The ballistics are quite unique due to the hop up device that every modern airsoft weapon has. The device gives the BB a backspin as it leaves the chamber, causing 'the magnus effect' and giving it lift. A properly set up hop up unit will match the lift to the BB weight, resulting in a flat flight path until the BB simply loses momentum and falls out of the sky at its maximum range.
I love the reaction! Airsoft is a really cool thing to get into. Effective range for a sniper is right around the 100 meter mark so those shots were well placed and very difficult to pull off I’m sure. Again love the reaction👍🏼
How crucial a sniper can really depends on the game mode you're playing, I personally find milsim to be the most effective area for a sniper team to work and function and maximum efficiency and trust me, those things hurt, even up to 100+ meters. Been shot in the bridge of my nose from about 70m and that one will not be forgotten haha. Great video btw!
Most of the airsoft snipers have their guns set up to shoot ~2 joules with a 0.40g-0.46g BB's. They can easily have a stable shot up to 300 feet(90m). I high recommend going out and trying it. It's very fun.

Both were fun. Now I own real versions of both. They won't let me airsoft with them though... don't know why. ;)
It's good to see someone taking it well for a change. Absolutely right, if you're going to play a sport where you're going to get shot and it hurts, don't whine about it when it happens ffs.
I was a kid before airsoft, we just shot each other with BB guns. I have a friend that 30years later still has a bb in his eyebrow because he was afraid to tell his mom. That’s when we stopped playin that game...
On my team we had 3 great snipers in Airsoft. Even when I played paintball back in the late 80's and early 90's. Yes they were effective. The snipers would distract the enemy. We had short wave radio so we knew where to flank. Great fun. :)
Love your channel... personally I played airsoft one time because a young cousin of mine wanted me to go play so I did after I got out of the military and I have to say whether it be a 22 or a 9 mm or a 556 they were all rounds obviously and even though airsoft is of course much different it’s amazing how you can integrate tactics and training into the game. I have never played sense but the few hours I did play I cleaned house even though it was a lot of younger people you’d be surprised because there were a lot of older people there too which was really odd to me but I absolutely cleaned house clearing houses and I was one of the last to get out had the most kills Haha “kills” but yes it is a lot of the same stuff in the military in our training I remember training with blanks I remember training with fake guns and then training with real guns and that was a lot like this but airsoft BBs they actually they sting. They definitely do not have the same trajectory and speed but if you wanted to train with firearms that looked real and kind of sounded real well not really at all but I think U get the idea of what I’m saying it is a very good way to train I think I think it’s actually a magnificent way Of training
With a good quality airsoft sniper rifle you can reach out to like 100m effectively, but only if the wind and vegetation allows it. So 95m is pretty much the maximum. By the way: An airsoft gun uses a hop up system to generate some backspin on the BBs and that's what makes them fly straight.
These Vids are tricky a little bit, since the "scope" overlay is added in post editing. Airsoft snipers like to make it look like they always hit exactly what they want but many times, even if you aim for the chest you can get a headshot or a nutcracker on long ranges
Ofc you cant believe, becouse it didnt happend . That guy is wearing a clear eye protection. Airsoft all over the world, have one big common rule:"everybody in the field have to wear eye protection ".
Personally I try not to go for headshots, but if it's all you got, you gotta do it. If they can afford a $300+ gun they can afford a $14 mesh half mask. They knowingly make that choice not to wear it or wear it properly.
With the best rifles on the market, like the SSG10, a good marksman can hit targets 100m away. Most we've seen in the video is like 50m engagement distance. My scope is zero-ed at 40m which is a very typical distance in forest or urban fields.
It is hard to tell in these videos honestly but I’d say you aren’t probably too far off on distance. I’d say these are just outside of 150 feet. But hard to tell lol
@@harrisonfnord5871 my sniper i use i use 0,56gr bullet does 210m/s and have effektive range to 150m zeroed at 87meters just to be crorrekt with dots in my scope

@@oguzy23 The BBs won't fly accurately much further than that. But even at that distance you can see how much the shooter is having to account for stuff like wind and drop off, which wouldn't be a factor at all with any real rifle at that distance. So it is still pretty impressive.
I've only played airsoft with basically no rules but only single shots and pump action or even lever action weapons available. My favourite time sniping in a MilSim, was when I was trying to take out an entire team at close range and auto-fired using my pistol and they all heard it but alas, I forgot to put BBs in the magazine because ??? and they all shot me directly in the head full auto because I didn't have my helmet cause' I leant it to some kid. Let alone this was about 30 people all lighting me up in the head. It hurt like hell but in the end of the day, its just a game
I used to love to go airsofting when I was younger but it was always hard to have fun because of the 40 year old men with go pros being the majority of the competition
Its a super fun way to let off steam and all the running back and forth is and endurance sport of its own. Depending on the environment, its hyper stress situations repeated over and over again.
Yup definitely been on the receiving end of airsoft snipers before. They aim for the head because thats where people will feel it and call their hits more often. They're at longer distances than other players with normal rifles, and 90% of the time if they shoot them in their gear or clothes, the receiving player wont feel it/call their hit. Also, snipers generally use high powered bolt action guns with heavier weight bbs to get the the most accurate trajectory possible. However, its definitely not as accurate as a real firearm, but the concept is the same. Wind and bb drop do take affect at different ranges. Most fields also limit dedicated sniper weapons to bolt action or semi auto only and shooting distances of no less than 100ft for safety reasons. If they are engaging under those ranges, they must switch to a lower power weapon like an electric rifle or pistol, etc. Those high powered rifles will pierce skin at shorter ranges for sure....
You think right. Milsims events may have different rules, but most of them have this "drop when you're shot" rule,or other extreme rules where you call the medic if you are shot in the legs or arms.
We have in our team young sniper. He dont have a big ghili suit, just basic scarf with fake leafs or super duper sniper rifle but have talent. He can, and he often does, hold a whole enemy team (about 10 -15 people) when rest of us is regrouping, or escaping from the encirclement. When I had him on my fire team I know that I can afford to play more aggressive because he can keep in check enemy team. When I was with him as a cover/support/spotter i know that I must be ready to very fast moves. Yea good sniper/marksman can be very effective.
We used to have wars with actual BB guns. I remember the year we all got BB gun shaped like an M-16. My friend shot me right in the cheek. The BB went under my skin and had to reach up and pop it like a pimple and it popped up and fell on the ground
We did as well, though with the rule of not shooting above the waist. Had to do some battlefield surgery on a friend who ended up with a bb in his hip, lol. (It was the 70s... our parents would've beaten us seven ways to Sunday if 1) they knew what we were doing and 2) if we got hurt doing it!)
We did that, too. Not too smart, but hey, it was the 70s and we were kids. Worst injury was from friendly fire, and was to me (of course). My friend walking near me tripped and accidentally fired his BB gun from just a few paces away. The BB went into my right forearm and almost made it out the other side near my inner elbow. Had to go to the ER and get it excised. The doctor who performed the (relatively minor) surgery was an Indian guy I'll never forget. When he cut in there and found the BB he was bringing in the other medical staff and saying "See the BB! See the BB!" in an excited, heavily accented voice. I was thinking, "great, just get it out of there, man..." My parents were not pleased about all of this. Lol.
We did as well in the 80s friend shot me in the ankle went through my tennis shoe..fast forward 20 yrs i got xray while in the army they found the bb!! 35 yrs later..bb gun war trophy!
Let me just say this: When you go to an airsoft field, anywhere, you sign a waiver to consent to the game. You acknowledge any injuries/pain you will receive during the game. Also it is the player’s responsibility to protect themselves on the field with proper and maintained gear. Having bad protection then complaining when you got hurt doesn't make sense as you consciously brought said gear into the game. If you can’t bring at least a hoodie, jeans, and industrial glasses to the game, then I am not sure why you are playing as airsoft is a pretty costly sport.
I wear full face and honestly getting shot in the face is preferable to getting shot in the ribs or neck. You're there to get hit and hit others idk what people expect lol
I played a lot of airsoft and I can tell you if they miss you'll sometimes hear the bb whistling by depending on grade and if they use green gas or spring fired bbs.

Right response mate! I get so pissed off with people that come to airsoft and then bitch it hurts... Yes, it hurts don't like that... don't come, go home and play CoD.

I've never played airsoft but really want to, if it's anything like paintball getting hurt is all part of the fun nit it, grit it, learn from it become a better player right?
I got a question, i play paintball which one hurts more the paintball or airsoft cause the airsoft looks painful too?

You’d be surprised how accurate you can make these things, and the range. Airsoft has come a very long way since it began
Depending on the distance, getting hit on the head is like getting hit by a rock.
Heavier BBs and higher joules, fps.
And yes, you see stars and drop. 😂
That's why I bought a helmet...
I feel like I'm watching a king look at this for amusement lmao
I love this guy doesn’t know he’s actually in the military
Machine gun elements are a very big role in “milsim” airsoft Alfonso is a very Lmg player
@Moises Perez airsoft Alfonso? He’s a RUclipsr
I Like him
Alfonse
“Could be cool guy but he looks like a hipster” that says it all 😉😉
That British guy was such a good guy( with the gillie), damn I like him too! He totally didn’t wanna hurt him and his adversary was so cool about it! That’s what it’s all about friends! GREAT VIDEO! Thx buddie

@@evil1st never doubt a Marine.
His commentary is brilliant! Could easily do voice overs.
This Marine is always good for information and a laugh !
Is it sad that I laughed so hard when bald dude put his dome out and my man hit it...🤣 🤣 🤣
How crucial a sniper can really depends on the game mode you're playing, I personally find milsim to be the most effective area for a sniper team to work and function and maximum efficiency and trust me, those things hurt, even up to 100+ meters. Been shot in the bridge of my nose from about 70m and that one will not be forgotten haha. Great video btw!
They sure do hurt!
Most of the airsoft snipers have their guns set up to shoot ~2 joules with a 0.40g-0.46g BB's. They can easily have a stable shot up to 300 feet(90m). I high recommend going out and trying it. It's very fun.
3:00 I am pretty sure he had like clear eye protection on, it is hard to see but when he turns you can sorta see the arm.
You’ve done quite a few of Airsoft videos, I think it’s time to see you play!

@@shepherdrm8486 back when gas blow back rifles reentered the scene (2008ish), I had a G&P WOC M16A4 kitted to the nines and running HPA through the magazine. Total investment into that rifle was around $1500 and I got the base M16A4 used... a lot of high end parts. My most used gun was a G&G M14 Veteran which was around $600 or so kitted out. Both were fun. Now I own real versions of both. They won't let me airsoft with them though... don't know why. ;)
That thing you said was full auto was a gas powered "grenade pistol" it's basically a shotgun in pistol form. 500 FPS with who knows how many BBs 🤣

I was a kid before airsoft, we just shot each other with BB guns. I have a friend that 30years later still has a bb in his eyebrow because he was afraid to tell his mom. That’s when we stopped playin that game...
I shot my buddy in the ass with a red ryder one time
Having a dedicated sniper is a huge plus. And having that sniper on Comms is a MUST
On my team we had 3 great snipers in Airsoft.
Exactly
This man has slowly become my role model, what a guy
I can't believe that guy with no eye protection, and the negligence of the person taking the shot.
Ofc you cant believe, becouse it didnt happend . That guy is wearing a clear eye protection.
Airsoft all over the world, have one big common rule:"everybody in the field have to wear eye protection ".
Going for heads against people with no protection? Brutal
I’m pretty sure they were wearing protection, it was just transparent and really hard to see
Personally I try not to go for headshots, but if it's all you got, you gotta do it. If they can afford a $300+ gun they can afford a $14 mesh half mask. They knowingly make that choice not to wear it or wear it properly.
The eye pro is transparent
Eye protection is mandatory in airsoft, they're fine
Waiting on the 'Veteran tries airsoft/paint ball' now
Most of these shots are probably 200 to 250 feet away
I don't know bud, he said that in the good conditions he hit two consecutive guys at about 95 meters. That made me think that he thought that was pretty far, I've never play airsoft though.
@@oguzy23 The BBs won't fly accurately much further than that. But even at that distance you can see how much the shooter is having to account for stuff like wind and drop off, which wouldn't be a factor at all with any real rifle at that distance. So it is still pretty impressive.
I know exactly what you mean but the way you said "...these things happen with guns" is the most hilarious soundbite! Keep making great vids.
I've only played airsoft with basically no rules but only single shots and pump action or even lever action weapons available. It was a giant free for all in Magnalana, Mexico during some gathering for a saint. It was wild and fun, there must have been 6 groups of people at some times. Mustang is one hell of a skilled AS Player I love his videos
This guy talking has been baned from a few ranges because of his headshots. He sells his own line of gear. He's turned this game into a steady income.
11:14 Ithink that "Mil-Sim" is slightly different than airsoft. I think they have to "act" the part.
essentially, you get hit you go down where you were hit and i believe a teammate can drag and "rez" you
You think right. Milsims events may have different rules, but most of them have this "drop when you're shot" rule,or other extreme rules where you call the medic if you are shot in the legs or arms.
Love how he just cracks up whenever guys get sniped
I had a hole in my tongue from a bb took years to close up
Would love to hear your thoughts on the documentary "Combat Obscura."
Let me just say this:
When you go to an airsoft field, anywhere, you sign a waiver to consent to the game.
Thanks for the upload... That sniper is savage though. 😆😆😆
