I hate sports with a passion it's obnoxious people screaming at a TV for no damn reason. There really is only one group of individuals that can be called heroes in this world and those are those who are part of the armed forces. I'm pretty sure the bigger issue, is the fact that the knee is obviously where your leg bends, with a prosthetic at the knee, you can have one that bends effectively like the other leg, if it's above the knee, you have to have a straight leg prosthetic which doesnt bend

    • @darkspecter1071
      @darkspecter1071 4 года назад +2

      @@itsjustdriver4728 that is a false statement the knee component in his leg are designed to move forward on their own due to hydraulic force and other gravitational pulls. Take it from someone who walks on it they bend on their own along with having a deer-like foot which bends and moves to balance you it's a very complicated machine that can perform just as well as a normal knee 👍

      Good Mothers and Fathers are in short supply right now... and if everyone ran off and enlisted there'd be no one left to raise families! Be good to your family, be a role model, and you'll have done more than just earned the 'privilege'.

      @@BrimstoneBrigadier I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of Liberals. Liberals idolize the troops when they are used to destroy nationalist and religious/traditionalist regimes, but they vilify them when they are fighting communists.
      Also, lets STOP PRETENDING that these men are fighting for fReEdOm. Let's just acknowledge what they are really doing and OWN IT. They are DESTABILIZING the Middle East in order to keep the high standard of living of America up. It's NOT "right" or "wrong", it just is what it is.

    This guy is the reason why I'm still hopeful to get back into the fight after losing my own leg (and other organs... spleen, gall bladder, part of my stomach and small intestine, and about a third of my liver were also casualties)... I've given that much to the fight. I can give more. 🤷‍♂️

      I think they normally do. I think this is new. Also, it was likely a special case. This guy is CLEARLY an ultimate badass and the army has already sunk millions into his training. I doubt a regular infantryman would get this treatment. But this guy is the Tom Brady of war, so one leg or two, he’s gonna fuck shit up.

      @bavarianpotato 4 года назад +1

      @@alphazuluz Yeah that's fair, and I'd totally expect the military to get him into a non-combat role, like training or whatever, but I just can't wrap my head around the fact this man's still deploying in an active role. Absolutely incredible.
      99.999% of soldiers that were injured this badly probably can't be put in an active role again, but i'm totally for providing them with opportunities to continue their service as best as possible in other roles if at all possible.

      so funny thing. I was a cook stationed at ft campbell. When I deployed I got situated at a COP TR, which was a transit site and rally point for SF teams. There I learned that, surprising, many SF operatives are from large towns or cities. I only ever met 2 guys from the the south, 1 from Texas, and 1 from Alabama. The texan didn't have an accent either, the Alabama guy did. Every single other one, was either from a coastal area, in the west or east, or from a major city/region in land. There was even a team of guys called the city boys, and yes they called each other by their city origin instead of names.

      Unfortunately, as an amputee myself, I have to tell you that this is propagandistic Nonsense. Especially an above knee amputee does not have the endurance to fight on a frontline. You do have a certain threshold of miles you can walk per day and with more than that, your stump will be rubbed open. Also he can not run with an above knee amputation. Even below knee ones make you too slow in changing directions and Sprints for a war.
      Its really quite ignorant of reality.
