I think that it is time for the entire world to take a step back from the computer, TV, Video Game, Gadgets and do something productive. i disagree however i played in a indoor CQB area rather than an outdoor field
      headshots/neckshots were some of the most painful if:
      - lowgrade BBs were used in which they would break apart on the face mask mesh and shrapnel into your mouth and nose
      - most people do not wear hard neck protection, a bb to the neck hurts, ALOT.
      - getting hit on any part of the skin in the head hurts like a bitch, especially the softer spots like ears and getting smacked in the forehead leaves marks.

    • @JounLord1
      @JounLord1 2 года назад +4

      @@aletron4750 Of course there might be different rules in an indoor area just like there is different rules for shooting live firearms in an indoor range. Generally my group if we were doing indoor shooting the rule was to switch to LPEGs and cheapo springers, make sure to have a FPS limit so nobody was getting shot in the face at point blank range with some 300+FPS higher end gun.
      Headshots do hurt, no doubt about that, but its not unreasonable to expect a little pain playing a sport. If you aren't wearing enough padding you will get marks and even welts in stuff like paintball and airsoft just like not wearing pants in contact sports like football or hockey will cause injuries, even with them may still have damage.

  • @ch4z_bucks
    @ch4z_bucks 2 года назад +101

    Can confirm a lot of these "headshot problems" would be solved if people wore eye pro and some sort of mouthguard or a full face mask. Every site I've played at has recommended it and has said if you don't and get hit in the face and it hurts, then you have no one to blame but yourself. Especially because as you pointed out in one of the clips, shots do not always go where planned and when a head points out from the other side of a corridor your first instinct is to shoot not to think "oh no I should be careful not to hit him in the head".

      When I was young I used to play paintball and I knew multiple people who got shot in the throat or top of the head but no one ever complained about it. We’d have gigantic welts and bruises but everyone just realized that was part of the game.
      We just wore more protection the next time. Put a Beenie on or a neck guard if you’re worried about headshots.

    • @bonnie1020a
      @bonnie1020a 2 года назад +3

      Yeah the site I go to says that full face masks are recommended, and while they say "no deliberate headshots" they really just mean "getting up really close and purposefully shooting them in the face", and if you poke your head out around a corner you basically accept that you'll be hit in the head.

    • @ch4z_bucks
      @ch4z_bucks 2 года назад +3

      @@bonnie1020a Exactly, I'm surprised a site even needs to recommend it, I feel like anyone with any knowledge of airsoft would think to wear it as common sense. An actual good recommendation (because very few think about it when they first go) would be to wear gloves because getting pinged in the hand happens more than you think and stings quite a bit for a little.

When people aren't calling the hits he'll get Little Monkey Shine and pop you in the twig n berries or shoot you in the face. I've watch him choose not to shoot little ones, and wait for adults instead. Most times when a little one recognizes him as kickingmustang they want to introduce him to all his friends and take him out of the game so they can show him off, most times he seems cool with it. I'm sure he has aggravated days where he just wants to shoot everybody in the face, facemasks and guards are suggested

    I'm surprised face protection isn't mandatory at these kinds of games. Whenever me and my friends would get together and do some airsoft in the woods, we'd always make sure we all had something protecting our eyes - specifically BECAUSE we believed headshots should absolutely count and that in the heat of the moment, it can happen even by accident. Dumbasses who don't wear any eye protection should be turned around and sent home, in my opinion.

    • @MysticShadowSong
      @MysticShadowSong 2 года назад +12

      Eyes protection are mandatory (at least in the few countries that I know), the face mask for the teeth are optional in most case. A friend of mine nether wanted to put that type of protection and got shot in the teeth by a snapshot and lost two teeth, since then he use a mesh mask. I suppose that rule of "no headshots" is to prevent this kind of accident but people just should assume their choice. Even if you try not to headshot, airsoft guns are not perfectly accurate, the wind can change the trajectory of the BBs, or it can bounce on a branch or a wall... that's why I always recommand to get something to cover the teeth, even if it's optionnal, even if headshots are not allowed

Everyone had to use pump action/manual action airsoft weapons while one guy was allowed to use the semi auto green gas pistol with backup mags. That one guy though, was a 1 man team and...he had to run bare foot...in a ice rink... the girls (real girls, not cry babies) would wear some of our hockey gear like the helmet with visor and chest protector. But us idiots would run around with nothing. We had to explain to some of the new guys the reason we didn't use the full autos is at the time, you had the cheapo $100 ones who spit them out at a weak FPS and then you had the real deals that would punch holes in sheetrock (We had to repair the walls in our first apartment....) So we would try to make it as balanced as possible, to allow everyone equal fun without having that "one guy" that everyone bitched about. Plus, when you are McClane and you have a team with full autos hunting you, it really sucks...

    I played tourney paintball when I was younger but feel I’m a bit old for all that now (only 30 but… you know, life lol) and I don’t play airsoft, but I do like watching Kicking Mustang’s content. He’s a hell of a shot, funny af, and deals with the seemingly ever-increasing abundance of whiners and pussies within the airsoft community in the best possible way. By shooting them in the face 🤣. Fair play to him, if you don’t wanna get whacked in the face, wear a mask.

    I don't have a problem with trying to avoid headshots when possible honestly. The problem I have is when someone is only exposing their head, I'm not going to not shoot because you chose to present an "unavailable" target. If someone is standing in the complete open perfectly still, shoot center mass just as a curtesy. If you peak from behind cover, don't get upset when you get headshot.
    Apart from all that, if someone doesn't call there hits I would have no problem with the idea of spraying an entire mag directly at their face.

It is common courtesy and kinda a rule on my fields to not purposely shoot people in the head, but on the other hand there's going to be a lot of situation were only your head or upper body is visible, so yeah you should always wear something to protect your face because it can and will get hit even if people avoid shooting at the head.

    as a player i see most headshots are unintentional. a common experience is that you fire 3-4 shots to make sure you take down your target, aiming at center mass. the first thing your enemy does when he hears the bb flying around him is ducking, so he positions his head where was his torso, thus bb aimed at the torso now are hitting him in the face.

Always encountered pansies and they would freeze the paintballs to make it really hurt. I think most places regulated fps to 280-300. You would shoot these whinny Karen's and they wouldn't call themselves out. Then you would turn the next corner and see them again, they would just light you up with frozen paintballs at 500 fps. The Karen's took all the fun out of it.

    I love how these people forget that firing a plastic bb at any incredible speed would have a profound effect on its intended trajectory altering...
    You could aim for center mass and still end up clipping someone in the face. People need to realize stray rounds exist, and that not everyone is intentionally trying to blind you...
    If you're that concerned about headshots in a game where bb's are flying and the potential of being hit in the head or face exists, you should probably wear further protection instead of eye-pro and a shemagh. Otherwise, to me, your complaint is pointless...
    Edit:
    I know there's no relation to this, but I've taken a brake chamber with a loaded spring to my face, left a fat bruise and a decent sized cut right next to my left eye. Had I not been wearing my hat, I'd probably not have my left eye anymore. But I still had work to do that day and soldiered on regardless. Applied some alcohol to clean it, put on a band aid for the bleeding and left for a road call.
    I was more adamantly surprised the brake chamber didn't explode upon hitting the grounding and sending fragments into my groin, abdomen and chin.
    Carried on like nothing even happened.
