There was also a second identical car, built for comedian Bill Cosby, which was destroyed in an accident while being driven by another owner. "Super Snake," 22 of these semi-race built 427 7.0L Cobras were made.
Ran outta room, lol, but... I think there were about 500 and something 427 Cobras built, but that doesn't include the earlier 260 and 289 powered versions. Or the 428 version. They are very rare cars, and there probably are only about 200 still around because most were likely used for racing and destroyed.
These Cobra Replicas are often built better than an original......sometimes worse. Don't get one that has a live axle like the type found in a Mustang. The originals had independent rear suspension, or IRS. While the newest replicas can have HP levels easily exceeding those of an original, most of the braking systems overheat & "go away" with hard racing use. Some have lousy suspensions but most have the handling well dialed in. Big engine, small car, lightweight, big tires, lots of grip.
I own a factory five cobra has independent rear end with a 5 speed transmission , I no it’s nice as this one , but a blast to drive and lots of looks . Thank you me Shelby .
nice looking cobra man, but i dont think it has shit on my friends V-tech honda prelude sedan. 5 speed. andd it has cool air filter, and take off the muffler so it has better exhaust flow. and it has a aluminumn spoiler for down force, and aftermarket tail lights. all you have is rims.
My wife said I could have one, but I have to take out a huge life insurance policy because she doesn't think I would make it home alive from the grocery store! Or members of our own family would beat the hell out of me and take it in the driveway.

All original Cobras had the 0-180 mph speedometer that ran counter clockwise :-)
