Petteri is awesome! I know sometimes you guys may not have time to watch the full video, so I'd encourage you to check out our jam at 13:06 because it was a truly fun moment for me musically, and I think you'd really enjoy it. Thanks again for watching!

Misko is great! :) Jon Gomm is fantastic too. If I remember correctly, they use the banjo tuners which can be setup for the amount of tuning that happens when you turn the peg. Would love to try them out someday.

I don't intentionally "write". I warm up, play some songs, make some mistakes, go off on some 10 minute tangent, then find pieces of originals. My "whole song at once" method, is that thing where you hear the entire song,w/lyrics, and you then try to reproduce it, on the guitar. Even if you can't match your mental version, you still get something pretty good.

I did watch the whole video per your instructions. What was cooler? Was it Petteri's tunings and percussive creativity (I thought it was awesome when he'd play high notes and then use his fretting hand real quick to give the guitar a percussive strike. That was cool), or was it you Tyler, who instead of going for light speed, held back in the groove with really cool bend techniques that gently kind of cried out just a bit. Gosh that was nice :D

Un-related question to the video. How fast is a respectable speed to alt pick and tremolo pick? Blues rock player here trying to add some shred to my arsenal. I will never be a shred god and it's not my goal. But I do want include the dynamic to my playing. I'd like to set a goal that is obtainable and fast enough to to have some flash. Consider I'm a lefty who learned righty my right hand requires a lot of effort and it is a disadvantage to my sense of rhythm. On the plus side my legato and hammer on pull offs come a little easier. Currently I can tremolo at 150 and alt pick between 118 and 130 depending on the pattern. What goals should I set for myself?
