Download the Ebook for $25- Nightcrawler Fishing: A Complete Guide to Catching Fish payhip.com/b/C7ed We analyse all major species caught in predominantly South East Queensland and provide background information on the fish; how, when and where to catch the fish (including GPS marks); tips and things to try; maximising your chances and mastery fishing. In addition to the above listed there is boat launch and retrieve tips, sounder advice and much, much more. Nightcrawler Fishing is all about motivating anglers to get out there and do things for yourself as there is no substitute for time on the water. Getting to know your local waterways is a huge part of increasing your catch rates. Anglers can always teach themselves new tricks as fishing is a sport that continues to evolve. It is commonly stated the 10% of the anglers catch 90% of the fish. When you watch people fish on the water you really can see why. This book will give you the practical know how to maximise your catch rates and drastically increase your levels of enjoyment on the water, whether it be via land based fishing, from a craft such as Ski, SUP, Kayak and most importantly be in that 10% bracket. In this book I will give you the countless hours of research that has been backed by more countless hours of field testing on the water to sort out the shit advice and theories from the quality ones. I am certainly not a professional fisho, but I am a persistent and determined individual who will not stop until I have worked things out. This has included figuring out bait, lures, rigs, tides, moon, barometer, time of year, time of day and locations to catch the majority of South East Queensland's species myself, without the aid of charter boats or guides like most prominent fishing shows. Everything in this book has worked at some stage for me and I am sure that in turn it will work for you! This book is supported by RUclips clips and social media pages that contain further tips, how to advice, location guides, species guides and much more.

My dear old Nanna who passed last year at 97 years young, used to tell me stories of fishing the Ballina North & South wall all from the 40s through to the late 80s, she loved chasing the big Jewies.. I've not fished the walls.. maybe I will one day and think about her stories from yesteryear
It's a magical place. I've no doubt fishing there would bring back those awesome memories.
Don’t want to end up in the water either. There are some big dogs that hang around in that water 🦈🦈
Definitely not! Have seen many surfing either side of that river mouth.
@@nightcrawlerfishing me too. Southwall is just about the creepiest place on earth
Agree! Sharky as
Australia's version of Haulover Inlet. Good stuff
Haha for sure!
Haulover has nothing on this.
I'd ride Haulover all day long. This is on another level.
The tide was hooking and old mate on his surf ski was just playing around . Ain’t no way in hell I’d cross it in my tinny
Agree!
Hey for us watching in the USofA, you Aussies need to give us a location of this bar. Gud day mate! *Oregon, USA*
Ballina Bar, New South Wales!
He's keen taking it on with 3 people in that size boat 😲
Very keen haha 😄
You know, a small light weight planning hull like a tinny has a better chance at a safe inbound crossing than a larger displacement hull. The reason is that its speed is not limited to hull speed, so it can go fast enough that the swell cannot catch up to it. What brings an inbound boat undone is the steep or breaking swell catching up to the boat, surfing it into a broach & rolling it over. If you are in a planning hull, you have the speed to follow at close & constant distance just behind a swell crest. If the crest behind is smaller than the one in front you are safe because the smaller wave is slower & will not overtake the crest in front. If the situation is reversed, you are in trouble because the larger faster swell behind will catch up with the smaller swell in front, converging into one gigantic breaker right on top of you.
Solid points raised.
That was hard on the eyes
Thanks for watching
I tried to cross this bar in my hobi 16, I chickened out at last minute as I was getting sucked out super fast, It was an epic gybe and I still have no idea how I pulled it off.
So much water moving around! Add in swell, wind and tide and she can be pretty crazy. Can also be flat and easy as to cross too.
I think the bloke in the little tinny may have been a skilled operator as well. Being patient .
For sure. He waited and picked his moment!
That's exactly how to do it, wait in deep water, read the conditions and wait for the lull between sets.
You don't have to wait for a lull, just pick a sizable swell and follow it in.
♥️
👌
closer to 10ft in my opinion!
