I liked the video not a farmer. I started selling John Deer 9/29/1962 for Willoughby Imp. Arthur Illinois. Sold for 35yrs till 1997. Hard to believe the size of machines now. Ive rode on combines with the Draper platform very impressive. I miss the harvest season. I won't let anything but Deer on my farm. Gale Hopkins.
If I did have a farm Id have a team of 5 John Deere S690 combines with atleast 3 John Deere 9620R $WD tractors pulling Brandts biggest grain carts with tracks
I am not a farmer. Not my fault. I was born to parents in a city. To me there is no loyalty difference between Case, Massey or Deere. I like seeing the big American farm equipment at work. Thanks.
The farm I work on has 2 New Holland CX8070s and 1 New Holland CX840. Pretty sure it is a CX840. We use them for grass seed in Oregon. Our farm also does sweet corn, green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, and onions
We use 2 jd 9770s and 1 jd 9870. We also have a Brent 1082 grain cart on a jd 9520. We harvest wheat and canola. Our harvest is normally in the fall and sometimes (last year) during the winter in the snow.
Out on the road, those combines are scary. The heads take up both lanes, both berms, and about 3 feet of median. If you come up behind them, just relax, because you're going to follow them until they get where they're going.
Plz keep all your vids at 12:12 or 24:24! Not these specific numbers but keeping them the same minute and second. I noticed a while ago you did this. I love it
mike underwood there is no way some one will get hurt. There are pilot trucks with the combines. No one can get past the machines from behind and there is no oncoming traffic because the road is one way traffic.
My son wants me to tell you that his papa uses John Deere combines for soybeans and corn. Although the primary crops on the farm are tobacco and sweet potatoes
In Farming Simulator 19 (FS19) I just bought a JD S790 with a 45ft JD dra-per head and 12 row corn head for other crops and to keep up with it i have a Massey Ferguson 8737 Tractor to pull a 1051 Kinze tracked grain cart
I'm fine with the road travel, after all it's a one way wide median separated road in the middle of nowhere with light traffic and they had pilot cars. What bugged me though is they didn't take a couple of minutes to get everybody bunched up to run a tighter Convoy down the road, could've been 2 lengths apart instead of 22 lol.
Great video as always! Quick question: how big are the farms in this part of Kentucky on average would you say? I’m assuming the farms in all the videos must farm quite amount of acres to warrant the multitude of massive combines and big tractors used!
There’s several farmers in my part of western Kentucky that farm anywhere from 4000- maybe 10,000 acres. There’s less and less farmers these days and the ones who do farm more land.
One opens inside and two on the outside. This way by the time they meet the grain cart can unload the two on the go and the inside combine can switch with an outside and unload on the go.
Why do they pick up the head when they are turning? Seems like it would be easier and quicker to just leave it at a preselected height and run with it like that.
@@bigtractorpower I can't imagine them having both on the line in 6 years. These are basicaly a new holland cr it looks like. What would be the point in selling machines with less through put that are less efficient in every way? That's if these things will really match a big lexion or a 9090, 1090 NH. I just run the chiz disk behind the things lol . Ohh i see they these will only be in 2 HP ranges for now. I still bet they get phased out and replaced with smaller twin rotor models. I've seen twin and single side by side. Twin rotors just does circles in corn around them. But case brings in the best sample in soy beans by far as long as they are not waiting on parts. Case around here you wait all day or longer for parts, deere 2o min.
Processing straw through a combine costs money , the less you can put through yet still able to plant the next crop into the residue the better off you are in time and energy saved
Think about the other jobs the 9360R does on this farm. Tillage, seeding etc... The 4wd size is needed. Plus it gives a better view of the cart and has more weight to control it. The 9360R was built 2012-2014. The 9370R is 2015-2020. A new 9370R also shown in this video planting soybeans is $366,000. A new 8370R is $415,000 and a new 8400R is $435,000. The small 9R looks like the better but to me. All prices are from Deere.com

Is going down the road with the headers on legal? I know it's not legal in Iowa haha
yeah I though that was illegal everywhere
That was the first thought I had too🙄
That would NOT go over well in Nebraska.

Head lands are rough from sprayer and planter turns. You would scuff the ground.
