Here in the Mississippi delta region harvest season will start soon! There is no season like fall! Harvest time and football go hand in hand! Can't wait to see these big machines in the field!
I want to give a message to new subscribers... no matter how many times a specific combine or tractor is presented on this channel it is always a new experience and top quality and information... thanks for the video Jason
I really enjoy when you video Garnett farms. They are a huge operation and very nice guys. Thanks Jason for the footage. I appreciate your efforts and time!! GO BTP💪💪
I live in a village surrounded by fields wich are owned by two farms, one with around 10.000 hectares and one with about 1.800 and usualy when the combines from the big farm come to harvest they stay here for around 2-3 days (6-7combines) and it's someting special when you heare them at 10-11 PM harvesting,as you said it's quiet, just the combines and the lovley sound of a JD or more tractors from the 8030 series with grain carts, what makes it a bit more special is that you can't heare them during the day
I'm never in the combine at dusk but I am in the grain cart. 280 Case Magnum on a 1100 bushel cart. Many many wonderful sunsets in September and October. One night we were taking out corn and the Reems' were taking out corn with two of there units right across the fence row. That was a pretty night. I also was in the field with the last blood moon we had. Looked up and man, that was pretty. We farm in Western KY to so it is nice seeing some of our neighbors on video.
Omg i am from Belguim. I can not believe how big that is!? 110 acre field is the biggest field i ever work on with the tractor. Fantastic to see. Thx for the great vids!!
I asked phillip back in the 80s if he'd break a quarter acre garden for me? He looked at me seriously and said Tim it takes at least 40 acres to turn my equipment around, next day I still do not know who plowed me a garden spot but they left wide tracks, and i had one helluva deep plowed garden. Best people I know....
In 74 and 75 we started in sw Oklahoma, moved to nw Oklahoma then eastern Colorado and western Nebraska. Frequently cut until 11 or 12 at night and generally started cutting at 7:30 or 8 the next morning. Sure do miss wheat harvest.
You should come to southern Minnesota and film a big outfit in my area. They farm abiut 30000 of corn and beans. Moliter brothers. Good operation from what i hear good equipment too. One of they're bin sites has one 550000 bushel bin and currently putting up another one looks to be the same size. Come check them out
Great video of wheat harvest on the Garrett Farm. It is crazy amazing to see all the large equipment in the field making this harvest happen. I don't think Garrett Farms does anything on a small scale. Keep up the great work BTP.
Question, Do very large farms like this one lease combines or usually purchase them. .? Seems there equipment is like new all the time . Thanks for all your work to bring these wonderful videos to us . Sarasota Florida 😀👍🏾🚜🚜🌽
yes 2800 acres is a big field.. im retired now, but i worked as a farmhand on a 25 acre farm when i was young,, and i thought that was big. hehe it was in northern norway and those 25 fenced in acres made winter silage for 100 goats. in the summer the goats roamed the forest outside the field eating what they liked during daytime, but they came to the barn in the evning and got some vitamin consentrate +some hay-silage while they was milked.. and they stayed in the barn over night and got milked again before beeing let out in the morning.
Yes but this is a family farm with 3 generations involved in running it everyday and many families in each generation. They all work together to maximize resources.
Try to give this a thumps up the first time you posted this video but, you had taken it down by time i just finished watching it.🤔😉😄 Edit; i see now the differents between the two liked them both. Have a great day God Bless.
I like your videos watch them all But why don't u have any from east coast like northern Maine up here in the county we grow potatoes and wheat barley we only have few big farmer not like out west
@@bigtractorpower I think everyone gave us a weird look when we were custom harvesting , although a couple of farmers one in Oklahoma and one in western Kansas wanted their wheat cut when dry so just ran in 4 wheel drive and let them take care of the ruts
The customer in Oklahoma only grew wheat so they would sometimes be in the same field we were cutting & I think the one in western Kansas did the same , they both had over 1500 acres and the one in western Kansas had a sheet printed out showing what each field yielded & other things pertaining to the crops and finally how much he owed I don't know how much the others owed the boss . It was fun until you had to move , I wasn't able to see anything but the tires of the combine
Good memores of harvesting after sundown in the 70's 80s and 90's? Those are hard to come by. At least for me. Poor lighting. Small fields scatter among the woods. You get the idea.
Not to produce a crop of 60 bushel soybeans right behind the combine in the same season. This 2,800 acre field produces 5,600 acres of crops in one year. The straw helps keep moisture in the soil and builds organic matter.
Thanks to all the farmers for all the food!

What with all the global covid going on I can always rely on BTP for a few minutes of stunning filming. Thanks Jason.

Why would anyone give a thumbs down to a video on harvesting wheat, obviously never had to farm before.

Garnett's are great people, hard working , good to their workers.
Garrnett Farms, gotta love it.
That’s some serious farming! What a planter !🇨🇱

Thank you for watching. I hope to get to visit Belgium some day to see farming there.
Very impressive operation thanks for the vlog
Nice beatiful work and amazing tractor
Great video Jason. Gotta love seeing those huge chunks of hardware rolling across the fields at twilight!
Really enjoy the nighttime action in the field!

Very impressive! Operations this size are just amazing to watch.
Unbelievable to see a night harvest great video as always thank you
Awesome video! Would love to see that grain bin set up
Thank you.
Thank you for a truly awesome video.
I remember when you filmed the corn harvest in that field, awesome to watch! Thanks BTP!!

I drive past that place twice a day going to and from work. Lots of big green equipment there. They have solar panels there too.
Watching a another video seen yours pop up again went to it immediately, thanks again 😎

That is a lot of bread and donuts!
Hi from England. Great video, if You tube had Oscars then that video would surely deserve one, well done.
Man i miss those ky june evenings😥
Small farm owner, non-operator. The MacDon headers seem to be very popular. Maybe the most popular. What makes them better than others?
I hope we can get to see the progression of the beans seeded with those Horsch drills! Loved the last video you did with them on twin 30"s
Love that shot at 4:27-4:28 when the evening sun silhouettes the combine and the driver. 💯 Would make an excellent still. 👌
Be careful out there..
running the lights was always my favorite 👍👍
Great vid as always! That’s a big Harvest operation!
Beautiful
Awesome video BTP! Keep up the great work.
I love working in the dark
Do you think this farm will demo or upgrade to the new X9 combines?
Do they sow soybeans in August? Isn't it too late?
Anyway, very impressive sizes, machines. And the quality is the usual. Thank you BTP!
Sweet video BTP.... guess Matt & Mr. Billy are wide open👍🚜
This is my favorite channel on RUclips!
I remember harvesting corn with an s670 and 12 row corn header with my dad when i was little
Nice harvest set up. Thank you for sharing.
You'd think that an operation that huge would have some higher capacity pits. They are dumping those trucks slow!
trucks waiting for 3 hours after combines shut down? That seems very inefficient.
@@TheDrumminguy Exactly. Those hoppers should be wide open.
Haha you guys are going to argue success with this bunch?
@@johnallen5996 Not at all. Im just wondering if its on porpuse.
The X9 1100 in testing is exceeding S790 capacity in small grains by 60% while improving the fuel efficiency and grain loss.
Would love to see more of the grain system
You will. I have been filming a video on it over the past 4 years. Stay tuned.
I bet they get to to demo the new x9 John Deere ,I want to see that beast in action
I bet you there was an X9 out there in that field 😁 Its an awesome combine. This farm will have five next year they liked it so much.
Awesome Video Buddy!!
Always great videos. Thanks!
I love the evening and night shots👍😁 this farm has some big bins😉👍
Great video👍👍
Outstanding video btp...... 👍👍
1,000 acres a day - wow - sounds good till you need to take off 15,000 acres with no rain! :)
They should be doing 1400 minimum a day
Good video but I was disappointed we didn’t ride with Matt.
That’s because Matt was in the X9 1100 out in that field. Stay tuned for a Matt X9 review video.
Question, Do very large farms like this one lease combines or usually purchase them. .? Seems there equipment is like new all the time . Thanks for all your work to bring these wonderful videos to us .

Jesus, their single field is nearly ten times what I farm.
yes 2800 acres is a big field.. im retired now, but i worked as a farmhand on a 25 acre farm when i was young,, and i thought that was big. hehe
it was in northern norway and those 25 fenced in acres made winter silage for 100 goats. in the summer the goats roamed the forest outside the field eating what they liked during daytime, but they came to the barn in the evning and got some vitamin consentrate +some hay-silage while they was milked..
and they stayed in the barn over night and got milked again before beeing let out in the morning.
I thought a hundred acres was a lot.
BTP, Would a farm like this one benefit from the John Deere X9? Would it be able to harvest crop faster in this field?
Yes. There was an X9 1100 out in this field too 😁. The farm is most likely going all X9 in 2021.
it amazing what big equipment allows you to do,,, like right back in for double corps
I'd rather see 3 dozen families running those acres instead of one operation but that's what farming has become now.
Yes but this is a family farm with 3 generations involved in running it everyday and many families in each generation. They all work together to maximize resources.
I bet these guys farm as much as l r rush farms and Larson farms added together and they don't care if we know how many acres they farm
Larson only farms about 6k acres...Garnett has almost twice that in just wheat
Since the rear wheels are pointed forward, are these combines 4 wheel drive?
Yes. I think all there machines are
Liked it !!! 👍👍✌✌
We harvest soybeans up until 2 am some times till 4 am if there is a nice breeze
sick i have a super bad cold and throwing up
All that money they have you would think there pits would be bigger
Try to give this a thumps up the first time you posted this video but, you had taken it down by time i just finished watching it.🤔😉😄

Do you have any 4 wheel combines in the area ?
I think almost every combine in this area has 4wd.
@@bigtractorpower I think everyone gave us a weird look when we were custom harvesting , although a couple of farmers one in Oklahoma and one in western Kansas wanted their wheat cut when dry so just ran in 4 wheel drive and let them take care of the ruts
It’s a handy feature. Ruts are bad but a sprouted crop is worse.
Here come the “there’s no way that is a 2800 acre field” comments in 3-2-1...
That’s why I show the opening drone clip. Where ever you see wheat gold way out is the field and it also goes way to the left out of frame.
It cost 1 to 2 million $ right
Parabéns Deus abençoi
Isn't less than 150ac/ day per machine low??
No that’s a good day. This farm has seven S790s in wheat and try to get close to 1,000 acres covered per day.
@@bigtractorpower thanks I got that...just sounded low to me
its to late to plant beans
Seven combines?
Yes. Actually 8 but one was parked.
