Kuhl makes the best clothes for outdoors hands down. Comfortable and warm.

Great brand, I'm tall too and there clothing fits me well, there trousers and jackets are really hard wearing, I use them for bouldering, scrambling, and general outdoors things and I think they look even better with age, not cheap but definitely worth it. 👍
Getting to the point and not BSing is a virtue.
I picked up some of their pants when Gander went belly-up and love them. Super lightweight fabric is breathable and stretches where it needs to. I haven't checked out any of their cold weather gear yet. Thanks, buddy! 👍

#mailbag. If Meriweather Lewis transported you back in time to go on his expedition, what would you take with you on the 2 year voyage.
I’m 6’1” about 190 and thought the Burr was a touch small in the large. I’m usually buying large tall in jackets. Sounds like you don’t have that problem normally? Luckily LL Bean makes the Pine Ridge jacket that is very similar but in the LT but really wanted the Kühl.
I have this issue and not many people understand. They say get an extra large and let it fit like a dress lol

I have a Burr. Feels a bit stiffer than I like a jacket to be.
I also have the Kollusion which is flexible but won’t keep you warm on a cold day.
Been wearing Kuhl since they were on Joe Rogan's podcast years ago. Burr jacket and Renegade convertible pants are my daily uniform.
Burr sounds like the jacket I should have bought instead of Kollusion, which is totally unlined and although I think it looks a bit cooler than Burr it's just a bit too light for what I was looking for.

How would this jacket do in the summer? We usually get about 25c were i live in Sweden... Most jackets are way to warm for the summer but i would like some protection from the sun..

These are ment for lanky people. I wear large , im 5'9 220lbs. My forearms are the size of europe and only fit in the Khul XXL sleeves. Length is to long so I have to flip the sleeve cuff back, but thats ok kinda has a pirate look to it now.
What about Gore Tex??
I have some gortex outer layers that work well but they were expensive. I think they'd be overkill around town running errands etc.
The cut and style of the Burr does not look or fit well on guys with spare tires
KUHL seems like they make some nice stuff but not everyone who enjoys the outdoors is super skinny. A 2X is more like a XL. A growing trend I don’t like in outdoor community. I’m 6’ 2” 300. Yes I could loose some mass around my waist but come on. It’s even worse for women sizes unless you’re super fit
I would size up with Kuhl. I wear a medium in most including Patagonia, but my Kuhl stuff is a large and fits like a medium
