I was surprised to find out Nashimoto is still making music I used to listen to their songs when I was sad in middle school and they really contributed to my negative thoughts so at some point I stopped listening to them. I am glad their still around though and I hope they’re well.
i think this song is from the perspective of a therapist friend, and the depressed friend theyre telling to die somewhere where they cant see them keeps using the therapist friend to trauma dump and what not and is always inconsiderate towards their feelings :0 but this is just what i think so might not be true
They want the person to die somewhere they can't see. Maybe it's because if they dont see it, they wont feel guilty or something. "If youre somewhere I can see you, the keep luving", they want the person to die but dont want to SEE them die.
My theory is that the singer is talking about someone better than them, with a life they envy. Just their presence makes the singer feel bad about themself. The singer doesnt want to think about it too much because it could eventualy consume their life ("...this life wont be just mine anymore. Some John Doe will get involved and it'll be far too late to throw it all away") They know it is a selfish desire, but if the person they envy could die, then their life would be less miserable. And they dont want to see them die, maybe it also implies that they dont even want to know about the persons death, It's like the singer just wants them to disappear. If the person dies somewhere they cant see, its almost like the singer could be guilty free, and wont have to deal with any consequences from wishing the persons death.
