For you Yakko. Seeing words is really helpful to our brain to understand sounds. Seeing words and sound makes things really intelligible. If you took the high pitch out of a sentence, listened to it with the high pitch, then again without the high pitch (which would've been completely unintelligible) will often make sense after hearing the normal version once. Once your brain has read the actual lyrics and words, it can remember those and put together the sounds to create the lyrics properly in your mind so you can understand them.
Incoherent EDM lyrics would be absolute pain and suffering. Trying to figure out what some abysmally distorted vocals are trying to say is near-impossible.
