- This week on Temple Street, we follow the journey of Cianan who is having craniofacial surgery. Morgan is in Temple Street as his foot got ran over by a car and Malgorzata is having EEG test for her seizures.
Temple Street follows the highs and lows of the hospitals daily routine and shares in the journey of some inspiring, insightful and unique cases. We meet the staff members who devote their lives to the children in their care, we see the struggle and joy of families who give up everything to see their child get better and we share in the happy and inspirational times, as we are confronted with the hope and courage of some very brave young patients.

How wonderful that mom was allowed to stay with her little fella until they put him to sleep. That's not an option in the hospitals in the US that I know of. Going into the operating room with everyone in surgical garb would be a traumatizing experience for anyone let alone little ones. I'm sure this practice reduces their anxiety and possible ptsd.
I'm in the UK here and both my brothers have had their appendix out and Mum went with them both times until they go under (one 12 ish and one 14 ish, I think) and I think Dad went with one brother when he had an eye operation when he was like 5? (I can't remember exact ages as the appendix ops were about 10 and 6 years ago and the eye operation like 20 years ago! lol) it is so much better for the kids, although I do have part of a memory of waiting on Mum coming back up to the waiting room after leaving one of them in and she was a total mess crying, etc! (But I think that much worrying just a "mum" thing! ;) )
I have a genetic form of epilepsy that is unable to be managed with medication. Before proper medication I was having 10-15 a day, with the medication I was still having them just once or twice a week. My neurologist gave me an implant last summer, a vagus nerve stimulator that is sort of like a pacemaker for the brain. I am still on medication, but haven't had a seizure since July.
That's quite an incredible improvement. Science and Medicine really is a wonder.
Zlaté ručičky ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Top doctors and top nurses and top hospital 👍💜🇦🇺
May God protect all of them .... Amen
My my younger cousin has had several operations for cranial stenosis Which they discovered at birth. He Unfortunately got very ill from the operations and developed mild brain damage. Otherwise he is a healthy young man. Just has to go to a special needs school. He will be turning 15 this year.
I feel like I already watched this, is it a reupload?
Is this skull defect from the Egyptian lords as with tut and others
Usually there is a pre op room where you’re put to sleep then taken into the operating theatre ?
Is the skull disease genetic?
Per chance a programmable head-shaping appliance can be engineered for folks suffering from such cranial anomalies. Cheers!
I've been brave for 4 eye surgeries, countless endoscopies and I've been to the dentist once
