In 1:56 you show how to change the duration of all clips by selecting them with ctrl+A in Trim mode. Is there another way to select just a couple of clips and change them in the same way? I'm trying here starting in trim mode, but even though multiple clips are selected it only changes the duration of one...

Hey, are you trying to increase the duration of a clip that's in full form? You can only increase duration of clips (without changing speed) if they are cut shorter
I found out the issue. You have to approach the edit from one side or the other, and eventually an arrow will come up on the cursor. Thank you Jens, I was able to find this out by closely watching the video!

Hmm, you could slow it down. But then you most likely ruin the song 😅 Maybe copy some part of it and place it some where it sounds natural? Zoom in to the audio waves to where it fits, and do some kind of audio transition between them, to mask it?
Hmm, the click and drag method on multiple clips? If so you only need to enable the "trim edit mode" and select the clips you want, then pull the edge on one of them.

Yes, right-click and select change clip speed. Then set it to 33 percent. I recommend also using "Retime and scaling" > Optical flow in the inspector. Here's an article with images videowithjens.com/change-clip-speed-davinci-resolve/
I needed to know how to insert silence at the beginning of podcast tracks for each guest because sometimes they are a second or two out of sync. Do you have any advice on that please?
If I had a video 0 seconds to 1000 seconds and I wanted to make the time at 250 seconds to 750 seconds last only 100 seconds could I do that here? But without like cutting it to much, like overall it'd still be one clip. Like a flight from Los Angeles to Paris you play normal speed on takeoff and landing but cruise you speed it up in your video edit so the viewer does not get bored. That’s what I’m trying to do but I don’t want to change the entire duration, I just want to change a section of the videos duration without the beginning and the end. Like a flight. Hopefully you understand what I mean. Or like a freeway/highway; you start normal speed on streets, enter highway/freeway(fast), then exit back to street(normal speed) If you can. Thank you. I’d appreciate any help

You follow the steps in this video. However, if you've used all of the video clips' original length this won't work. Then the only way would be to change the clip speed
what if you have 100 consecutive clips, and somewhere you have shortened or lengthened several clip by a rookie accident, and now you want to ctrl A all clips and reset all clips to their original lengths. Can you do that? It's too late to use ctrl z. thanks

The method shown in 1:57 seems to have been removed in Resolve 17, at least in the last last version. There's no way of doing that.

You can only extend clips that's trimmed; you cant extend more than their original length.

I can make the clip shorter but none of the methods work to make it longer than it originally is. Is that even possible?
