What If Babidi Turned Good in the Buu Saga? In the battle between Majin Buu and Goku, the creator of Majin Vegeta (Babidi) almost fell to his own minion! However, what if in the last Dragon Ball Z saga, Goku was the one to save the wizard from doom and give him a chance with Piccolo's assistance? In this interesting Dragon Ball story, we might have a magician on side to help with Super Buu and more in the precursor to Dragon Ball Super - however, Beerus has awoken and once he sees the little potato around...will he remain settled? In the chaotic Tournament of Power, Babidi avoids early skirmishes to preserve his magic. Notable confrontations include Universe 6's Saiyans and Universe 11's formidable fighters. Amid the chaos, Babidi uses his magic strategically, saving Krillin from elimination by using telekinesis to throw him back into the ring and contributing to the defeat of Frost from Universe 6. Babidi contributes to the efforts of Universe 7, providing magic support and protection. He enlarges the Android twins to fight against Universe 2's Kamikaze Fireballs and boosts the speed of Krillin, Piccolo, and Gohan, giving them an edge in their battles.
When Goku uses the Spirit Bomb against Jiren, it backfires and Goku is absorbed into a black hole. Goku reappears in a new form, Ultra Instinct, impressing even the gods, but eventually runs out of power. Towards the end, only Universe 7 and Universe 11 are left, with Universe 7 having numerical superiority. Babidi uses his last spells to aid his team in their final push against Jiren. As the sole member remaining in the ring, Babidi passes a test from the Grand Zeno, restoring all destroyed universes. Babidi is hailed as a hero.

I always use my strongest spell.....I may have a tendency to be a bit overkill when it comes to magic. 😅😅😅
@@EbGame1995 then i suggest you to play a warlock, tons of customization, one of the best cantrips (a flat 1d10 damage that can be upgradable with invocations) and all spells are always casted at the max level possible (although you have like, only 2 spells slots and that's it)
@@enzoponce1881 If you have played 3.5e, there is the Eldritch Theurge prestige class. It advances spellcasting of one arcane class and one class which use invocations. Usually it is the warlock.
Warlock 3/Wizard 3/Eldritch Theurge 10/Wizard +4 (7) results in a solid spellcaster, which is capable of casting 9th level spells and can infuse Eldritch Blast, with the spells of the wizard.
Babidi has come a long way from a one note villain to a major hero.

Babidi using the enlarging enchantment on AN ENEMY as a strategy was plain genius, pure "thinking outta the box" stuff.

You know, I like the idea that despite Zeno seeming oblivious and callous, he's actually brilliant and thinks on a level, scope and perspective far alien to any mortal, and most gods. It's like a author in a sense? When you write a story, multiple stories, despite caring about them, you do things like deleting entire chapters or progression and warping the entire setting as you see fit. To anyone in the story, 'you' just pop in to have fun every now and again and they never know what will happen as a result.
i.e. Goku and Buu, to an extent.

Man the feeling where you win a fight having burned all of your spells is like nothing else. Babidi's victory must have felt so good.
Babidi: "Besides, not that there's a wizard to challenge my power right now in our universe, so why would I need it?"

I love this what-if. It honestly may be my favorite. The way you have transformed Babidi's character is truly something special.

This is my favorite What-if series ever. I do love how you've explored Babidi's growth as a person. Too many DB villains just become heroes without any real exposition on how it happened.

Babidi lost most of his power when he stopped trying to take over the universe, a failsafe set up by his father, and his replacement met up with Moro a couple of episodes ago

This has to easily be both the most hilarious and wholesome part of this series yet! You would not believe how deeply I've fallen in love with this version of Babidi! Honestly it makes me want to see fanart and other fan works to appreciate what you've done with such a basic character! He's so devious yet so charming and charismatic. He's so determined and has such a strong will yet can't help but have it sharpened by his recently polished moral compass! It's truly a thing of narrative beauty! And I am practically *frothing at the mouth* in anticipation of the next part and the start of the final arc which I can only hope is a long one! What with how much original stuff is going to be part of it!
Honestly this really was hilarious though. I don't know which was funny the "don't get the wizard" part or Hit apparently losing his mind in rage at watching Babidi single handedly turn the tide of battle later in the video. And I ADORE how you reinvented the scene where they took down Jiren! Truly a thing of beauty!~

You know, my best friend made his own little story for the Xenoverse and in his story Babidi Actually became the mentor for one of his main characters.

While it is nice to see Babidi fully turn a new leaf, I would still love to see a story where the wish on Super Shenron is used to dismantle/destroy the Omni King and the entire heavenly arrangement, because it all seems so... weird and prejudiced against mortals.
I've not seen much serious discussion about it. Even if it wouldn't have worked in the end, trying it could be quite interesting indeed, given the rationale of wanting to save what was left and prevent anything like this from _ever_ happening again.
However, if it really was a plan from Zeno, I guess it's to find out which universe is the strongest both physically/magically/ki-ically, and morally, so that the multiverse is in good hands and things are progressing in a nice way.

Huh, Tien and Babidi surprisingly getting along better than I thought. Perhaps Tien's stoic attatude goes well with Babidi. I wonder if Tien saving Babidi so much will come into play later. I'm surprised the mentioned Evil caontinment wave didn't though.

I really enjoyed the babbadi action scenes. I enjoyed listening the the D&D wizard babbadi have a magic off with Dr. Rota.
This nickname of “potato wizard” feels over cooked. What about “wrinkle mancer” or “spud man”.
