I enjoyed seeing how you methodically go through your processes.
Thank you for your kind comment and for watching!
I can say that if this were my bike and i had you doing this inspection to it I'd not only be right there with you but I'd have bright yellow cheerleader pom poms rooting you on with every parts list find and in seconds we'd be striking the "BUY IT NOW" button!
It's very rare to me to have someone like you in life that is close.
@@RogerDiotte I appreciate your kind words. Parts for these bikes are hard to find and usually take a lot of patience in waiting for a part to pop up for sale.
@butlercustoms BUT we'd no doubt be finding them.... TOGETHER right nice man.
@@RogerDiotte that’s true
I just bought a pristine 1985 V65 Magna to complement my 1985 Vmax (997 original miles) love these 80's bikes........just raw and awesome!
That’s awesome! Congrats on a good find.
What a great purchase you luckily found!
@@butlercustoms Thank you! hopefully I will pick it up next week
@@butlercustoms Thank you!
@chrisvantassel8867 send pics when you can. Would love to see it.
That plum red was a stock color. Also came in blue and in black might have been other colors but I know that red plum was an actual color in fact i saw more of the red than any I believe?
That’s good to know. Thanks.
Perfect timing on a Honda! My buddy asked me for some help with his carb! I appreciate the heads up on that one! Also my wife wants to know the dogs names if you wouldnt mind. She loves puppy dogs
That’s great. Glad I could help and wish we could have heard it fire up. Black lab is named Ruger. White dog is a visitor from time to time. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@butlercustoms oh man, same! It would have been awesome. Not a bad deal on parting it out though. Someone somewhere is going to be very happy! Again thank you for answering that for her. Got the worlds longest awwww for it
@@dutch_clutch8211 my pleasure
You should have bought it and flip it it’s a sweet historic muscle bike
It needed a little more than I would have wanted to put into it but I would have loved to hear it run. Thanks for watching.
So sad that another Magna is being parted out!!
I agree.
I 2nd that same sadness, the Magna and Shadows of this era are fallen heroes.
@@RogerDiotte they are good bikes.
@butlercustoms hell ya they are.. timeless styling that hopefully makes its debut.. couldn't come soon enough in my opinion. The tragic part of they do rebuild models of these types are the fact that all the gaudy gadgetry will spoil the whole raw deal these bikes represent! No fancy trickery, sport mode etc.... just the riders ability to drive the bike in real time like we all should be doing and fully aware of what's under that throttle. We've lost this capability... to freaking ride like the wind!
👍😎👍
Nice HONDA
It will make someone a good bike.
That is my bike, except 84 and black tank
Awesome. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I was watching your video and when you got to the point where you said the solenoid is cheap I must respectfully disagree. I own an 84 v65 Sabre and I had to purchase a new solenoid at the Honda shop and because of rarity and lack of availability I paid $140 for that solenoid. I found one on Amazon that was supposed to be guaranteed fit but when it came in I discovered it was absolutely incorrect
A new OEM ones will be pricy. There are many good used ones. And really any good quality parts store solenoid will work. You just have to wire it up differently. Thanks for commenting.
I just want to ask about the Honda. Did the customer find it on the side of the road, or was it a barn find, or was it on a farm in the paddock.
Doesn't matter what sort of bike it is, but I am sure if you own a bike, you tend to look after them.
Good question. I’ll ask him about the history of it when he comes to pick it up.
That's funny how you worded the find cause right now I have 2 Shadows 750's! Ones an 83 and 84. The 83 has been sitting on my farm, in my garage and now in an empty horse stall in my barn for over 10 years lol.
The 84 Shadow is in mint condition running excellent.
@@RogerDiotte that’s cool. Thanks for watching and commenting.
when you turned off key it lite on the 2nd plug
Correct. It was that faulty igniter box.
@@butlercustoms the last time i worked on my yamaha the spark was eratic on 1 plug, i checked the coils even bought a good used one and still the same, so i did a lot of tracing wires and never did get it fixed, i gave up on it and got a "piglet" aka sportster,
@@gravedigger8 it was probably a pesky igniter. But that’s a good upgrade to a sporty!
@@butlercustoms the bike is a yamaha venture royal 1200cc v4 engine, it dont have ignitors like that one has its got 1 box and only 1 plug wire out of the 4 was eratic, and i got rid of the piglet, i looked like a clown on a minibike lol
too bad, but understandable
That’s the way it is sometimes. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Why does the title and thumbnail say it’s a Yamaha?
Because I’m an idiot. I was working on a Yamaha while editing this video and I guess my brain glitched. Nice catch! I’ll fix it asap! Thank you for pointing it out.
I just fixed it. Thanks again for catching my mistake!
@@butlercustoms You’re welcome. Feel free to delete my original comment to hide the evidence so no one will ever know it even happened.🤣 By the way, I used to have a 1986 V65 Magna. I loved it. I now have a 2020 Yamaha VMAX. I love V4 engines.
@JeffMarcum I’ll leave it to remind me to pay better attention next time. Ha. Those vmaxs are fun bikes.
