Yes. I use it with my metronom app. The sound is amazing with palm mutings, like a clock 😍🎶

Yes, it’s supposed to sound like a clock.

I love this song. I have always played Dave Haas’s version, which sounds close to your version. Fun song. Thank you for this video with the metronome!

@@karendotson230 oh I’ve not heard his version. But the melody is always the same. Have fun with it!

Thank you Mandy for making and sharing this wonderful video!
Please let me add my 2 cents about metronomes. I was going to write a whole lot more here. But I will try to keep it shorter than I planned.
I am a HUGE proponent of practicing with the metronome. It has been a game changer for my playing. My own practice sessions usually include some time with the metronome.
In my opinion, music is not just about the notes and chords. It is also about the timing. When we hear a piece of music or song, the tempo and rhythm are established in the beginning. Our ears expect the notes in the rest of the song to be played in line with that tempo and rhythm. When they are not, the music doesn't sound right, even if the right notes are played.
Also, music is more enjoyable to the listener when there is a steady groove. I have heard it called a "pulse".
I use the metronome for practicing banjo, guitar and ukulele. I start at a speed slower than my normal speed to challenge myself. Starting at a slower speed also allows me to focus on hitting the right notes clearly in addition to hitting the notes in the right spots on the clicks and between the clicks.
If I am practicing a faster song, then I will start slow and gradually make the speed faster, little by little, just like you did in the video Mandy. For example, I am a member of a folk music club. Sunday night we will get together to do our monthly Song Circle. When it is my turn to call out a song, I will call out "Foggy Mountain Breakdown". I have put together many ideas from different RUclips teachers to make sort of my own clawhammer banjo version. It will sound slow for bluegrass but fast for clawhammer. And practicing with the metronome is helping me get faster while still playing it smoothly.
Not only do I think that my playing overall sounds smoother because of the metronome, it feels better to me. I enjoy playing more when my playing feels smooth.
I also participate in my folk music club's monthly Open Mic Night. Each of us gets to perform 1 or 2 songs individually for the group as our own concert. In addition to practicing my song on the guitar with the metronome, I will also practice singing my song by myself with the metronome. This helps me get the rhythm of the wording down. I do not have a polished voice. It is ordinary at best. But I have gotten compliments on my performances. I am thinking it is in part because of practicing with the metronome.
I heard another banjo RUclipsr suggest that brand new beginners and experienced players learning new songs/passages/techniques should not start out learning with the metronome. One should wait until he/she is comfortable playing the part that he/she is trying. The idea is that if you introduce the metronome too soon, it will be a distraction and make you struggle. Then you will get frustrated. Wait until you can play something comfortably. Then refine it with the metronome. What does everyone think of this?
I have a metronome app on my phone. It is marvelous. But like you Mandy, I prefer playing with my old-school, mechanical wind-up metronome.
And let me say these last things. I think that some musicians avoid playing with the metronome because it is a hassle/chore. I say think of it as a fun music challenge with great benefits to reap.
Also, I suspect that some musicians might fear that practicing with the metronome will make their playing sound mechanical and lifeless. I strongly disagree. I think that adding a steady pulse to your playing adds life to it.
I am super curious to read other Banjo Lemonade fans' ideas and techniques for practicing with the metronome.
If you stayed with my comments all this long, thank you very much! I guess that this was a lot more than 2 cents.

Does Strum Machine count? My pea brain just hasn’t connected with a normal metronome for some reason. But maybe I’ll try more with it out of my sight.
    P.S. I’m done peopling too!

Yes strum machine is wonderful. I’m playing it at straight time and half time here (or double time I guess you might call it). Using a metronome alone just takes practice.
