That arrow in front of the wheel is to drive air into the brakes, keeping them as cool as possible. Just look at the placement of the exit channel above the arrow, it points the air directly at the inside of the top of the spokes. Once that are gets disrupted by the spokes, it would be a big cloud of air covering the entire brake assembly... Keeping it cool if they were trying to stop the air to flow around the wheel, they would just have the smoke covered by a flat plate, that would be mounted to a ball bearing, and waited at the bottom. Keeping it stationary, so it to can have arrow, allowing the air to pass by the wheels without causing any additional drag... Much like the McLaren Spoedtsil has.
@@william_SMMA if you can’t have a conversation in ur car hyper car at driving speed then mate it isn’t refined. That car will be great on a track, if the tyres hold up, but on a normal driving road ur going to suffer. It’s technically great to achieve some insane numbers but no it isn’t refined.

And then you have Hennesy Venom F5 with 1814 hp......
Crazy stuff!
Great video mate👌
The best car reviewer in Britain by far.
I'd take Pagani Huayra for looks and stuff the engine for this Hennessy for performance...
But Bugatti adds a cherry 🍒 on top with luxury and Comfort...
So much to process to make a decision 🤣🤣
Rimac Nevera for me please.
good job on pointing out off the shelf tires might be a problem for high speed
Fantastic video Rory. Love the work champ. Ben Perth West Coast Aus
g'day
That arrow in front of the wheel is to drive air into the brakes, keeping them as cool as possible.
Rory made my 27th of September with this one.
Happy 27th September, bro. -Rory
Another Rory Special 🎊 🎉 🔥
Just Amazing all around. Good on you AutoTrader , Mr.Reid and the AutoTrader team !
Oen of the top car RUclipsrs in the world. Keep it up Rory
Another well presented video Rory 👍
I was also going to mention the tyres and them not being rated for those speeds, glad that you did.
Another great review from the best. Great way to start my morning. Thank you Rory.
This car looks awesome! I love that it’s turbo MR LS motor! Rather have that than any other vette
Great review of a typical American fast car. Bombastic numbers without refinement.
it's definitely refined
wtf are you talking about
@@william_SMMA if you can’t have a conversation in ur car hyper car at driving speed then mate it isn’t refined. That car will be great on a track, if the tyres hold up, but on a normal driving road ur going to suffer. It’s technically great to achieve some insane numbers but no it isn’t refined.
@@selectedevil same goes with the McLaren F1, Senna, F40, they're all loud inside.
@@DroneStrike1776 am not disagreeing. But they were also very much more than just top speed. So then the F5 needs to be evaluated from that point. The comparison point shouldn’t be the Chiron or any other modern hyper cars. For the record I think the F1 and the F40 are two of, if not, the greatest cars ever built so I don’t if that’s fair to the F5. Am not dissing the F5. I am just struggling to find where it sits.
@@DroneStrike1776 Yup, all unrefined garbage as well I suppose. By that logic, the C8 Corvette is a better and more complete sports car than the Enzo or Carrera GT as well.
Guarantee they have that car on a tune setting that is massively tame. He doesn’t have the full beans.
Interesting car. But the Hennessey name has been ruined for me ever since he scammed Viper owners years ago. If I wanted a very special car, I'd go with Koenigsegg
Beautiful car, love it. The led daytime running lights in the headlamp look cheap though, they should have used a continuous linear led design instead of early 2000s style led dots spaced out.
A yoke might be a great idea if it the turning ratio was progressive so that it felt normal most of the time but you had full lock when necessary without needing to take either hand off the wheel.
Man the F5 Design is surely one of the most beautiful cars ever build.
This car is quicker to 300 than my car is to 100...
John claimed 15 to 400 kph also lol.
That's when you know it's made up
@Amarjit Singh Dhesi after 3 months your still sending me multiple comments? Let it go .
Calm down
@Amarjit Singh Dhesi More insults , your clearly upset here judging by you dismissal and insults .
Very pleased with the use of the word "bespoke"
Great review as usual
It Flunked the Goodward Hill Climb, Both in the Wet and Dry.. at the Goodward Festival of Speed..
Koenigsegg thrashed it...
Am I the only one who was waiting for him to open the doors? Showing how you actually get in it would be nice too.
"aluminum, 8 microns thick"
so basically they used some tin foil
...but microns sounds more impressive, I'll give you that.
Really thin aluminum foil that'd be completely useless in the kitchen
It's half the thickness of standard household aluminum foil, and about a third of the heavy duty stuff. I think it's impressive to be able to form the badge out of that material. Probably very difficult and takes many failed attempts each time.
I need a bib!!! I can't stop drooling!! Gorgeous!!
love the video, Rory is good. dope car also😃
The first 30 seconds of this video Rory gave me chills...
Rory you rock sir!

Excellent review, well done👏
Now there is a car that's worth every penny..... Bugatti, who ?
0 -62 mph = 2.6 sec
0 - 124 mph = 4.7 sec
0 - 186 mph = 8.4 sec
Top speed = 310.69 mph
HP per tonne = 1,311.9 HP
All on the rear wheels.....meet the new widow maker.
@Alex Alexander Anderson BS?
These are facts.
I struggle to understand your comment as your comment seems to have NO factual bases.
Are you saying the manufacturer's statements are B.S ?
@@mrharry8466 yes they are
Florida be loving this name right now
looks 2 much like a kit car, 2 sqaured in the rear. an expensive street car should have a luxurious interior, as the interior in no way affects performance. it's way 2 racy inside, that thick boxy display is horrendous.
The owners haven't complained to anyone. Over 30 I've heard. And, your NOT one. So, bye.
The Fujita Scale was updated in ‘07 to the Enhanced Fujita Scale, btw.
Great car ..but still want to see that top speed claim.
Thanks for your time my friend
So claim a number that you haven't achieved. That's cool. On that note, my car is 2000hp.
Yeah true the speed is just PR nonsense at this point .
@@tarimatt3383 What's with Koenigsegg?
Another awesome review! Absolutely top quality!
I heard cars going 300mph before in PR talk. I need to see it to believe it, also this can't be good at high speeds being so small and light.
At least we know the Bugatti is safe and scandal and also not a lotus .
Jesko could do it
@@7stiano123 Many cars have but I'm talking about the Hennessy which had a history of wild claims that it's hasn't met.
@Alex Alexander Anderson Dude stops following me around the comments.
Koenigsegg has nothing to do with it.
@Valkyrie What's there to laugh at?? 🤡
@Alex Alexander Anderson Yes certainly Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut definitely has the ability, more hp and more aerodynamic than the Agera RS, two very important factors for top speed!!! And stop replying from multiple accounts, Mr. Valkyrie 007!!!!
Sir u mean no power steering on this thing?, does it add up??
@@captain_context9991 u think so
Top speed: one thing 95% of people will never experience on the real road.
But accleration will
Over 95% of the people that buy one of these will never get it anywhere near V-max. At the end of the day, Hennessey specializes in selling vehicles to win dick measuring contests.
@@Briggsian 🤣🤣🤣🤣 "dick measuring contests, this one had me rolling. But yes, that's why electric cars are taking the crown, they shine less on top speed but acceleration, I do that every day in my car, from one street light stop to the next.
any video of it doing over 300mph ? like there is a video of a bugatti doing over 300mph ? (3 years ago)
Ahh Hennessey, make the largest claims and they never meet them. good video and cool car.
Cringe alert.
@@THESLlCK
No its true.... Hennessey claims this is a Texas built, ALL AMERICAN hypercar. He claims its a production car too..... None of this is true. And all those perfoemance figures are completely wrong.
He claims its an 1800 HP car.... It isnt. A lot of lies from these people. It can only ever run on kit-car number plates. Because it has no emissions certification, no crash testing, not even any airbags.
True I like the claim John said about 15 seconds to 400 kph which is in dreamland and the 310 plus.
@@THESLlCK It's cringe to believe the claims that have changed multiple times .
@@greyguy.960
Bottom line is basically I dont care.... I dont care how fast kit-cars or project cars go. As long as he does not have a PRODUCTION CAR, he cannot claim world records for production cars.
And this is NOT a production car by any stretch of the meaning.
No crash testing, no emissions certification, no health & safety of any kind. The car doesnt even have airbags. So it will only ever be able to run in the US on kit-car plates. Real production cars dont run on kit-car plates.
I remember when he was on top gear, their loss he is in his element now good on you Rory👍👍
Rimac Nevera would be great to measure where Venom stands
Rory the best car reviewer what a dangerous car beautiful and brutal
The F5 is an exceptional car but the jesko absolute seems more refined.
chiron supersport is even more refined.
Chiron SS is king.
What's more important, the quickest accelerating to 120 MPH or the fastest to you readers? For me, it's quickest to 120 MPH. I couldn't care less about going 300 MPH.
It is quick to 120MPH too.
Comparing a kit car to a Bugatti very impressive 👍
Not a kit car goofy
At this stage it can't even be registered as a kit car it's got that much wrong with it. .
@Valkyrie 007 brainless
Why this channel hasn't had 1mil subscribers yet?
Can a badge really affect air flow 🤔 to the point where the desired speed is not reached, i.e will removing a badge contribute to increased speed
yeah at higher speeds it will, for ex going 289 mph to 295 it will make a difference.... Air turbulence and things make huge difference at higher speeds. weight also does count a lot more at those speeds. having breakfast or not could be the difference is going 295 to 297 top speed, some budget airlines make you pee before boarding to save 300grams of liquid from each passengers body.... Apparently they save a lot of fuel on longer haul flights by doing that !!!!!
Great video review mate ! And to answer or explain the roads not being long enough, in America there is plenty of highways or freeways that racers use to open up the iron lungs of the mighty v8
Probably just another fake record like the previous model, or like the fake record from the SSC
To be fair, SSC did hit 295 with the car pulling hard. All the numbers say it can be done. If they don't try to pull a stunt and try to convince the not so gullible public, they might do it.
Interestingly most of this car is really British, not American. 😂
Fake record from the Venom GT? Nah, they really hit 274 mph with that car.
They actually hit 273 mph in 2012
@@srinitaaigaura Not true. It's built in the US with assistance with some British company, but most of it is built in the USA.
This is a serious car mate..I believe they've already reached 270 or 280 mph ..i could be wrong
