Great breakdowns from a great grappler. One criticism I would have is regarding the framing of the videos. We have two shots. One of you in your room and another of Mark rolling. I think it would be better if the rolling footage was taking up more screen space. Just a personal preference.

I'm really enjoying these videos! Just a quick note, that microphone is a "front address" microphone, so you talk into the front of it rather than the top. If you look at the switch on the back, there are three settings. You want the cardoid setting (that looks like a heart). The other two are a figure 8 pattern and an omni pattern that records EVERYTHING around the mic. Hope this is helpful and that I didn't sound like a dick.

I find the idea of 'what is the best level of effort to use against someone with significantly less skill' to be pretty interesting. I've been training for 10 years and because of my schedule, I end up going to a class that's pretty much all white and blue belts, so this is something I'm thinking about often. I like to let people work, but I feel like I use it as an excuse to be lazy, which has had a negative impact on my skill set/effectiveness recently. I'm trying to be more assertive while still being energy efficient and nice.

The biggest thing i see throughout the whole roll mark did is that he is reaching and leaning far meaning his balance is WAY OFF and he left himself exposed. this is to be expected by early white and blue belts as you are kind of timid and not too sure how to move or attack. But it is best to keep those elbows tight, protect the underhooks and fix the GD posture. a little bit of greco roman wrestling would be good- they got frikin strong posture. leaning over like that and reaching plus keeping extended legs leaves you exposed for everything from collar drags and snaps to throw bys, shots and dozens of sweeps or even triangles.
