I've watched quite a few videos on how to find inverse functions and they all use the "y" substitution method, but this is the best one because the presenter actually takes a moment to explain what is going on and the theory behind it.

Do not use the symbolism fg(x) but the right is f(g(x)). We must avoid confusion with multiplication.

For the inverse function, how did you get f-1(x) = x+4/2, shouldn't it be f-1(x) = y+4/2?

Or should you leave it as x+4/2
