RIP Cloris. The World LOVES You😀😀😀😀😀 From Canada to America to Italy to Greece to Australia to New Zealand to Ireland to South Africa to the United Kingdom to Belgium & Beyond😀😀😀😀😀
The scene, in "Young Frankenstein", which she recalled is my favorite scene in the entire movie. As far as I am concerned, Cloris stole that entire movie with her character. She was just the best!
Loved this interview! A delightful woman and actress with limitless versatility. So effortlessly funny, and so sorely missed. 😢 Would love to know who the difficult director was!
@@leighewinson9473The sign of a good TV comedy is the distinct lack of canned laughter. Very few comedies rank in this class. Bit of personal trivia. I grew up in NYC and knew Martha Plimpton (Virginia Chance in RH) when she was a young girl. Her mother worked for the same company as I did and Martha would often show up in the office when she had finished school, or it was the summer. Always wearing roller-skates. She had a spark, even at a young age. It wasn't until years later, when I had moved to the UK I was watching the Goonies and there was something familiar about one of the cast. Imagine my surprise to discover it was Martha. Mind you, she comes from a theatrical family. Her father is Keith Carradine, a well-known actor and son of the legendary actor John Carradine. Her mother, who I worked with is Shelly Plimpton, she was in the original cast of Hair on Broadway. In fact, she features on the original soundtrack. =)
What a wonderful wonderful actress. Just watching her interview she made me laugh out loud. Seems to be a very down to earth person and so so funny and versatile. She had the gift of being able to entertain and laugh about herself. Sadly missed no other actress could come close to her espically when it comes to relating a good funny story.
From TheLast pictures how to to Young Frankenstein she was amazing, as she was in television on MTM and Phyllis! I really remember her as Ole Mam on “ A Girl called Sooner”:
I watched Cloris in Mary Tyler Moore's show better than the leading character!!! Also Spanglish, Young Frankenstein, Bad Santa films, & Raisimg Hope tv show. Great actor, & lady.
@@blerksnarfgut2766 I've heard it mentioned in a few interviews, not meant as a put down she just knew what she wanted and wasn't a milquetoast and took nobody's crap but she worked til the end. If you watch some of her interviews towards the end of her life after her ex-husband died she cut loose a lot more. Openly didn't care about a lot of the projects she did just did it for the cash. She was the definition of a working actress and it served her well.
How funny! Stabbing her nephew in the thigh with a knitting needle! Wow, hilarious! I bailed out of this boring interview at that point. I like the Phyllis character, sure wish I hadn’t wasted time on this.

I saw “The Last Picture Show” in the movie theatre….what a movie! My 1rst intro to her acting. What an incredible life she had.
Our wonderful, marvelous, talented Iowa Girl from Des Moines. We are so proud of her...
Have always loved her. Thank you for sharing q
Phyllis's pie ( when she pushes it away) , is a great example of using props to convey emotion, and hilarious.
Even funnier when she tastes it.

LMAO at the story about Barbara bel Geddes rushing to the stage to make her cue without a top on.
Such a shame Raising Hope was cancelled. It was a brilliant show.
One of the most clever I ever watched

I love her acting, but it is impossible to follow what she is saying?
Phyllis… it sure isn't you! 🥺
I watched Cloris in Mary Tyler Moore's show better than the leading character!!!
Also Spanglish, Young Frankenstein, Bad Santa films, & Raisimg Hope tv show.
Great actor, & lady.
I remember her portraying Agatha and Sofia in the 1993 Halloween made-for-television film “Double, Double, Toil And Trouble”
Remarkable women …
Friggin intersting
The first five minutes, Cloris tells us her method for stealing scenes! What a thief.
Bloucher!
(Neighing)
Frau Brucker...... (Horses neh)
I am Frau Blücker 🐴
If she was still alive today (September 2023) I would say Chloralis honey why did you put on so many necklaces? Too much!
Her style was always unique in life and her work, a lot of people who worked with her said that while she was often difficult she never disappointed.
@@cmcb09I can't ever imagine her being difficult. Where did you hear this?

She needs to stop laughing when she speaking it's very difficult to understand what you saying at the time
that's a small price to pay imo
Remarkable women…
Ironic isn’t it? She portrayed Agatha (witch) and Sofia (good) in the 1993 Halloween made-for-television film “Double, Double, Toil And Trouble”
