The kind of down-to-earth warmth, kindness and humility Linda Evans displays here, sadly seems missing today. And I think that's a damn shame. She's physically beautiful, but her heart is absolutely exquisite.
I admire her greatly for the way she handled the issues with HIV and working with Rock on Dynasty. they were terrible times and many people were ignorant and brutal. Her kindness is character.
also how she made up with Bo and John Derek after this tremendous heartache they gave her. Like Bo Derek too but Linda - will she not turn 80 in November? - looks even better than Bo nowadays
I met Linda Evans in 1982 and she was just so gracious and lovely. My mother who was not the most sophisticated person tells Linda Evans that she just hates Bo Derek for what she did to her, and Linda just looked at her and said well thank you. Such a wonderful person!
Bo was only 16 and about 20 years younger than John Derek at the time. Can you imagine the hashtags and Facebook lynch mobs if that happened today. But they were happily married until John's death in the 90s. It just proves that none of us can really judge what does on between 2 people we only know from tv and movies.
@@crees1445 they were 30 years apart as far as I know and there is no way a relationship between a 16 year old teenager and a man who could easily be her father would be ok.
I'm an old, old man. I remember the first time I saw Linda Evans, a long time ago, I was stunned by her beauty and the fact that she seemed so natural. I was never a fan of any of her hugely successful TV shows or movies, because I just don't watch TV much or ever go to the movies. Fast forward to now, and I'm once again stunned --- by her genuine character and humility. She would obviously be a joy to know and have for a friend.
Linda is such a lovely lady, such a kind, caring and beautiful soul. What a wonderful relationship she had with Barbara Stanwyck. I have heard Linda talk about this before. You can tell what a bond they had just listening to her talk about Barbara and how she got emotional doing so at the beginning of this interview. I also always liked how close both she and John Forsyth were in real life, right up until his death. Ho sad to find out that some Dynasty cast members ostracised her after the kiss with Rock Hudson, once his condition became known. When she tells the story about it there is absolutely no bitterness from her towards them and she doesn’t mention anybody play name who treated her like that. That shows how dignified and forgiving she is. She also only speaks about Rock in a tender and compassionate way. She really is a remarkable lady. The kindness, love and tenderness just radiate from her. What a lovely interview this is.
Growing up, Linda Evans(tad), her real name, was my idol, & I watched every episode of Dynasty, and I think I was 10 years old, so I had to peek through the door because it was past my bedtime, or it was pre-VCR days, so I would take my tape recorder and record the episode. Linda Evans is a movie star like no other, as she is beautiful and genuine, and I was blessed to have such an idol growing up. May God bless her always and sending much love to dear Linda💜🌟🎁💫🥰! She’s a stunning, kindhearted legend!🌟👑
Linda Evans has always been one of my favorites ever since Big Valley. A very kind, caring person with a wonderful talent. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us.
What a beautiful interview with an absolutely amazing woman. Lovely lady. John Forsythe said she was the most beloved person in the Dynasty series. After watching this, I can sure see why. Thanks for posting this. So enjoyed it.

What a great interview with a beautiful inside and out lady. I feel like I got to know what she’s really like. She’s such a joyful, loving, gentle, kind and generous lady. She’s had a wonderful life, and acts and sounds thankful and appreciates what has happened to her. I loved watching her on Big Valley and Dynasty. She’s a wonderful actor.
Arguably one of the most beautiful women ANYWHERE. Bar none. Even today at 79 years old her beauty is easily seen. Back in the 60's on The Big Valley she was absolutely gorgeous.
Evans, the second of three daughters, was born Linda Evenstad in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1942, to Arlene (née Dart) and Alba Evenstad, both of whom were professional dancers. "Evenstad" was the name of the small farm in Nes, Hedmark, in Norway from where her paternal great-grandmother emigrated to the United States in 1884 with her young son (Evans' grandfather) and a few relatives
I loved her when I was a little boy and I religiously watched "Dynasty", I loved her when I was quite an adult man and I watched her in "Hell's kitchen" and I love her now watching this interview. Such a beautiful soul wrapped in such a beautiful person. 🩷
Lovely interview. A gorgeous older neighbor of ours attended Hollywood High school with Linda Evans as well as Stefanie Powers. She was very friendly with both girls in school and kept in touch over the last 60 years. I joked with her asking if any of her fellow students weren’t stunningly beautiful? 😂

The big valley is my favorite tv drama show, I am currently in the process of watching the whole series now on Amazon Prime. I am on season 2. I had a crush on the three brothers and wanted to be Audra and loved Barbara Stanwyck's strong female character, and the sweeping theme music is so inspiring.
I was about 11 or 12 when The Big Valley premiered, and as a teenage boy I was very aware of Linda Evans. She was so cute in The Big Valley, and just a couple of years later she was a clone of Bo Derek. Don't get me wrong, she was still beautiful, as was Bo Derek. But it's as if she morphed into another person. As I recall, she was being "managed" by John Derek, and he seemed to have a vision of what he wanted. I'm going back to sleep now until the nurse brings my medication.
Not knowing who she was (I was not a tv-watcher) I gave, to her, a compliment in the lobby of a condominium in Chevy Chase MD. She was very shy. After the desk clerk identified her to me as a celebrity, I was very surprised at how shy and modest she was. I still have never seen anything with her in it, nor wish to. Contrarily, I saw Goldie Hawn storming out of a sneak previewing of her first feature-film, and she made the opposite impression, that of a haughty and egotistical contemptuous person. The movie itself I thought was very good, as well as her performance, so I don't know why she appeared to be in such a sour state of mind.
The story that was told many years ago is that Stephanie Powers and Linda Evans physically fought over a boy...and Stephanie won, which I don't doubt, she's a tough lady,Linda pretty much confirmed something serious happened between them with this interview
