The fact that Sarah isn't just a "ridealong girlfriend" is part of what makes this channel. Equally passionate to Taylor. And holy crap that launch looked crazy.
I love the packing tape wrap on the harness 😂❤ Watching Axis in person, I can hardly wait for the reveal of who bought the Axis and when it's getting built.
S&S has awesome rides, and yet for some reason, theme parks in the United States aren't biting. This model has been available for years, but every theme park is not willing to buy one. Kind of like the 4th dimension coasters, there are only three in the entire world. Great rides, but very expensive, and very intense. As for why the Axis isn't getting requested, who knows? Maybe the parks are afraid of the maintenance costs.
I think the 4D coasters are intimidating because they are ridiculously expensive and also have a much higher maintenance to operation ratio. Eejanaika cost more than 31 million.
cost , and the fact that it is still experimental. you can get a similar size rmc single rail for half the cost with the same capacity Also the 4d spinning coasters have not been that popular with the GP anyways, just to extreme for most guests. the s&s free spins are like 8 mil same with the rmc single rails, the axis coaster would probably be closer to 12-15 mil And when you are spending that kind of money you can get a new age vekoma launched coaster with better capacity and lower maintenance costs. It's still a very cool concept , it just has no place in the market. maybe one at energylandia could work and one in a saudi park but thats it
I think the large number of high profile failures over the years makes them a tough sell, especially because you can get something more reliable from a number of other manufacturers
omg this is insane. s&s have really come up with some stuff the past few years. I cannot wait to see something like this in a park. also Sarah's reaction is amazing
Yes I know, please take your time. It is nice that you will compose your thoughts instead of just posting to get the news out. If you did, your video would be among so many others saying the same thing!@@CoasterStudios
If they do I’d rather them take their time to collect thoughts and opinions, actually read official press releases and conferences, before rushing to put out a video ASAP
This would be amazing for like a Pandora/Avatar ride in the forest or Indiana Jones ride in the temple of doom 🤣 there is just so much they could creatively do
I like how you can also just see a steeplechase prototype next to it, like dang S&S has a lot of prototypes around. If nothing else, they could probably sell that little steeplechase prototype or any other tiny test model to a small park at a discounted value. That could give small parks a unique one of a kind ride and allow S&S to see how one fares in an actual park and hopefully use it to promote the sale of more.
The ride is closed to visitors. You could always shoot an email to them and ask, and maybe you'll get lucky, but its not really something that's open to the public. They don't operate it too often.
dude, Taylor, I don’t know if you heard yet, but cedar fair and six flags have apparently merged. what do you think this will mean for the future of six flags? (Actual question as, even as a coaster enthusiast, I visit rather infrequently.)
When you went around the twist where you went from the top of the track to under the track it looked like you almost got airtime just from the vertical drop of the vehicle.
I LOVE your channel's content :) Always have, always will 💜 Also, I'm gonna dump this here in the hopes that someone from universal will notice me 💙🙏 **inhale**: Universal Studios needs to purchase this model YESTERDAY. With more expansion space at epic universe, and a bigger plot for even another entirely new (although still theoretical) theme park, the company could absolutely shatter expectations with this thing; and here's how! Universal could make the world's first immersive darkride axis coaster. And better still, although this could fit many IP(s), it would be SO sweet of a victory as a heavily themed fantastic beasts solo attraction! **Dodges several 'Avada Kedavera' spells from angry fans** I know, it's not the most popular on it's own, but with the wizarding world being WAY bigger than just Hogwarts, London, and Paris there is SO much opportunity for brand new attractions to shock the public. Picture this: You and your friends, clad in your robes and cloaks, approach a mysterious new land at the back of the park. Pine trees seem sprout out of nowhere and you are suddenly in the midst of a dense forest trail. Wisps illuminate the way as you reach a clearing that spits you out onto the grounds of the Grand Ilvermony (i think i spelled that right 👀) School grounds. The common area is buzzing with guests from all over the wizarding world as visitors have temporarily been permitted, much to the head master's dismay. You taste exciting foods, practice your magic arts, and clamour to the castle's main entrance for a show of wizarding excellence from senior students in the esteemed great hall of american magics. When you think your day is done, and you're ready to go to the train station you saw in the common grounds (which is offering a single route to wizarding Paris **wink wink nudge nudge**) you notice a path branching back into the woods but it's different somehow? Signs warn of beasts in the area, and you can't help but hear more explained sounds from deep in the forest. Daring not to stray from the path, you happen upon an impossibly large stable house. Making your way inside, you find you have just volunteered (through some leap in logic) to help Newt Scamander track and save a **insert adorable and rare magical creature here** from magical creature poachers! Since Newt is not exactly welcome on the grounds due to incidents past AND the lack of toleration for magical creatures as a whole, our adventure must stay a secret from the already disgruntled head master that does not favor no-majs. Imagine, after an extensive and immersive queue, watching your train of potter themed axis cars pulling up (probably some crazy mesh of 1940s car models and magical items), loading in and setting off 😮. It starts as a dark ride, giving guests a chance to be a part of the story and follow Newt in the field as he identifies different species. Our party finds the cute creature in danger, and after a little premature celebration for an easy job, the poachers immediately snatch the baby and the coaster LAUNCHES into action after Newt! The poachers flee and try to dissorient you with inversions at first, but your vehicles are **cough-cough** UNIQUELY DESIGNED 👈 **COUGH** to keep up with small targets. Whizzing through the trees as spells crash into the environment around you as you fly in every direction, you know anyone who isn't experiencing this first hand won't believe you if you tried to tell them what happend. Magicks and Muggles alike :) Indoor or Outdoor, it doesn't really matter. All that matters is an ACTUAL fast paced, never before seen adventure coaster that will leave everyone raving 💜 I could go into waaaaay more detail but this phone is tiny and my fingers hurt from all the passion 😭 ! Somebody PLEASE bring me to a ride concept pitch meeting. I have so many ideas it hurts! I promise i'll be good!!!
Why haven't parks bought these?? Well, Maxx Force has significant downtime, and they are struggling to keep Steel Curtain running and it is lift chain, inversions, brakes. This will be a hefty tag for a prototype that will deliver less than 600,000 rides in its opening year.
Hello, Taylor. I'm Connor Clouse. And just to let you know that my birthday is this month on the 20th. So on that day, please wish me a happy birthday. Also, I go to amusement parks in and out of state to ride roller coasters and do a lot of thrills, too. But I don't go to the ones outside the US like you have. To do the ones in Spain, Japan, Italy, and many other countries, you would have to have a passport. In which you did.
Kentucky Kingdom needs to build one. Or Holiday World.. a park that will spend the money to build a decent size with theming. Then Six Flag/Cedar Fair can build a record breaking one..
So ur not gonna mention that your old video on six flags buying cedar point has just now come to life? (More of a merge than a buy tho to my knowledge)
What the hell?? Sarah is right... Why there are none of this type in every theme park? Is one of does coasters that with only watching it, you can presume is going to be a good ride... Big hug fellas
As coaster enthusists we have to work as hard as we can to stop this six flags cedar fair merger from happening. So many parks are now at risk of being closed down. Prices will skyrocket for tickets since their is no longer competition, communities will be destroyed like aura ohio when cedar fair killed geauga lake. If you care at all about the future of American amusment parks you will call your states attorney General and the attorney General of your local parks city and demand they take action against this monopoly.
I think nobody has bought one of these for two main reasons. One is that a park would probably rather wait for some other park to buy one first and see if it works out well, since it's a new type of ride. Second is that, and probably only partially their fault, but S&S has a number of high profile bad projects over the years. Hypersonic XLC was a failure. Ring Racer was a massive failure. Major issues with Gale Force. Extensive downtime for Steel Curtain. Do do-donpa has been closed indefinitely for a little while now. Then a few days ago the accident with one of their pneumatic coasters in China. Not sure if S&S is going to get much coaster business in the near future, especially with the quality coming from B&M, Intamin, RMC, Mack, Vekoma
