I was a huge Marvel and DC nerd but another Favorite of mine was Disney comics , especially those which inspired Duck Tales . I felt it not at all too kiddie .

I've seen large ICON paintings from medieval russia, the main figure surrounded by oil-painted, sequential panels that tell a story. Somewhere I have photos I took of these back in 1992 in Moscow. They depicted events almost in motion picture form, the actions broken down into frames, numerous individual image-steps. I should find them again and apply some of the standard definitions re comic strips to them.

Today I had pizza for dinner. I was watching this documentary on my mobile phone while eating pizza out of the box. A box, that has enormous potential to appease a certain class of consumers. A box that could serve a platform for conveying narrative and illustration for both adults and children. Unfortunately, the inner roof of the box doesn't carry any meaning. It is one of the most ugly objects of this era.
