- When Dennis & I set sail from the Southwest coast of Puerto Rico for a 48hr 260nm voyage. We knew we were in for an adventure. But we did not expect everything like this! Along the way, things went from great, to terrible, to amazing, to horrible, to rainy, to OMFG THAT CRUISE SHIP IS COMMING RIGHT AT US!!! This was on hell of an adventure!
It's sailing adventures like this that make the journey such an amazing thing. I can't imagine living life any other way.

👋🏼New Here?!?👋🏼
Hello & welcome! I'm Daniel aka "Adventureman Dan." I've been living on the edge, from one adventure to another for the past nine years. Stating in Central California with my first GoPro, through SoCal, Baja, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Alaska and throughout the whole USA. But for the past five years on my sailboat "Adventureborne" I'm open to unlimited possibilities of where I can go, and what I can do!
#cruiseship #sailboat #sailing
You two look good together. Congratulations I’m happy for you both ❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations on a successful voyage. My heart is still beating. For a while I didnt think it was going to beat again. Those dolphins were so beautiful. 😊
You and me both! What a trip!
Love living these videos through you. Here in Colorado all I can do is dream of sailing again.

Love your channel dude. Cheers from west coast of FL
Glad you enjoy it! I love FL. ❤️
This is HANDS down, one of your BEST "ADVENTURE DAN" Videos TODATE . . . You & Dennis had me on the edge of my futon the entire adventure . . & Thank-God Dennis woke you up in he middle of his watch, in the middle of the night, to ALERT you about the "Pilotless Party Cruise Ship"
Excellent videography as we have all come to expect from your channel . . . . I also enjoyed the show buildup of of your ship-mates personally from "Swiss Machine" to 3" hr Sleeper" to "Essential Crew-mate". Dan your videos have it all and "Always Hit That Sweet Spot" . . . . .Luv Your work Bro . . . .
Hey thank you soo much! I'm glad you likes this one. It was a serious adventure!
Two handsome sailor men.
That cruiser could not in anyway have seen you at night. No AIS, no see. Have fun, Dan...and install an AIS.
Starless moonless night when I have several lights on..... ok guess they can't afford someone on watch. 😂
What does the word excited mean? Sailors are excited many times in explaining life in my observations of my word study...m
Wow, scary encounter - even without AIS I would think you would have set off their radar alarms. UNBELIEVABLE a cruise ship would just be flying along without any concern for vessels that don’t transmit AIS. Maybe you know this but a simple AIS receiver allows you to see other vessel’s heading and speed over ground so it is a lot easier to make a precautionary course correction when you have those details.
I completely agree! But yes I've also heard it's easiest to get an AIS that only transmits. But at the moment I run very budget systems.
Just curious..are you towing paddle board for drag or?
Not for drag. It was just the best place for it. As long as it's not a fast, following sea sail, it's good.
After this close call are you getting AIS installed in your boat?
Honestly..... probably not. 😄 I'm sure I will after a few other upgrades first. :)
@@Adventureman_Dan watch out for cruise ships I’m sure they most definitely not looking out for you.
There are rules in the ocean whos got priority of course, are you sure a sailboat has priority over a cruise ship?
Hahaha, I radioed the ship, he said he'd turn to avoid me......
Why not store the paddle board in the dinghy?
It's WAY to big for that.
hail to the nap-king!
He's the best!
That's crazy! Any idea why do they come so close to you guys? You they didn't see you, or just didn't care?
I think they assumed I was another boat a couple miles away......
:) hello again!
Welcome back!
jojo huge fan here! could u tell me the name of the track that u played in the video at: 6:55 please :D
