I really think RJN had the best thing to say when it came to mice in general with "Shape is king". Polling rates and all that won't help you if you can't aim properly. Shape>Weight>Latency>Everything Else.
Everything is so perfect in terms of performance even at 1K that it’s almost snake oil at this point. RJN has the right equation! Weight I would say is subjective but it is easier to aim with a lighter mouse.
i'd say something like click feeling is more important than latency. it's really a deal breaker for me if i have mouse with shitty clicks. for example the first batch of pulsar x2v2 had sticky and stiff clicks. made me really hate the mouse.
@@lx6381 yeah u have to open them up and move the rubber pad or remove it to get rid of the sticky clicks
@@PaulBlartGaming i removed them and now i have insane pre travel. Not sure if it was like that before because i did that long time ago
not really cause i used chinese 3395 mice before and my viper mini still has better sensor implementation.
I unsubbed from Fresh Reviews after he criticised some budget "Chinese mice", then stated in complete seriousness that "they don't feel as premium as something like Pulsar". The VXE R1 Pro dumps all over most "premium" mice. I know because I own, or have owned most of them. I have a mouse problem lol. FR comes across as a bit of a shill to me. That said, I agree with what you're saying in the video.
I think Chinese mice you take on a case by case, not all Chinese mice are equal, from everything I’ve heard the OGM stuff is also amazing!
We’ve had some proper disappointments in build quality from western companies and non Chinese companies as well! I go based off reputation and pulsar doesn’t have the best, from personal experience and reading those of others.
@@RestlessGeckoReviews I was oringally all about Logitech and Razer. Then I got a Fantech Aria XD7 and it changed my mind. Now I have that and a Rapoo VT9Pro 4k and feel shape and value are most important. Don't give the bug guys your money.
@@Chef_PewPew I think Logitech and razer are generally good quality with safe shapes but I’d describe them as normieware, they do a decent job for like 90% of people that aren’t min maxing their set up. (Even some that are)
I think the enthusiast scene is moving wayyyy further beyond them now.
I think buying clones is a scummy practice in general. Support the companies that put in all the work and money developing these products. Don’t support the copycats profiting off someone else’s hard work.
@@chrisb8479 I see no reason to support any company who is gouging the shit out of their customers. Razer, Logitech, etc. Both companies I have had bad experiences with, QC wise. And don't get me started on Logitech's "customer support". Absolutely the worst RMA experience I've ever, well, experienced. A month of waiting at least 24 hours for a response to every email, only to be told every single time that "Hi, I'm your new support person, what's the issue?" Believe me, after explaining yourself 14 times it's begins to grate. I had to threaten them with the sale of goods act, amongst other things, to finally have my issue dealt with. A horrific experience. Check out Trust Pilot reviews if you think I'm a one off.
Like others already said, quoted from RJN, "Shape is king" and I would probably add "Weight is queen". Other than that is just preferences.
Just picked up a VXE R1 SE+ as recommended from the community and pretty much love it. I don't care if the texture is kinda cheap (I mean it's not that worse compared to other $20 mices) or it's a chinese one. If it works then it works.
Don't fell to the marketing trap is the best to summarize about the whole "gaming" scene.
There is nothing next apart from niche shapes,
Unless there is inbuilt aim assist there's nothing else coming(Which a lot of people deep down want from a mouse).
With snap tap from Razer on their keyboards, I don’t think it’ll be long 😂
I just received my hts plus 8k in transparent black. Been wanting to try this mouse due to the shape for a while, and I must say this thing is fire!
The blue shell pink dots are a definite upgrade on the zippy switches! Enjoy my man.
low weight is honestly more important than shape, I really wouldn’t play with a mouse heavier than 40 grams no matter how good the shape is.
Superlite or DA is NOT A GOOD SHAPE for everyone, regardless of what hand size have. Don't fall for it.
Size is super subjective.
Fun fact, I've had two mice with the 3395 which I refunded for the same reason: no tracking at start of movement if on a soft pad, one instance for up to five seconds (Haste 2 Wireless) and up to 0,3s the other (Model O2 Pro). Never had a sensor that couldn't track properly in a kind of pad since the laser sensor of my 2010 cheap mouse.
I think you hit the nail with this one. I'm on a bit of a snag selecting my next mouse. The one I currently have is a Viper V3 Hyperspeed, and although I like the size and shape, the weight and QC from Razer, makes me not want to buy anything from them. Then, scrolling through AliExpress, I found the ATK X1 which is basically a VV3 Pro with different internals, less weight but worse QC at half the price. Makes you wonder if you are safe sticking with your current mouse or if it's indeed necessary to change it. I think I'm going to wait. I like big mice. I can't handle small shapes 'cause my hand starts to hurt after awhile. I've read that Lamzu is launching a bigger Maya, so I'll wait and see if I finally settle.
The Maya X should be appearing on Amazon in the Fnatic colourway at some point so you’ve got a good return window. Outside of that the Zowie FK2 Wireless is slated to release this year. But tbh if you feel better sticking with what you’re already comfortable with I don’t blame you.
to me Shape, weight and mouse switches are important. trust me you dont want your 100$ mouse to double click on u. Replacing it is a hassle
i went from the Razer Viper to the DAV2 back to the Viper for the weight and clickier main buttons. i only wish the side buttons were bigger and clicky like the DAV2.
I thought the 3399 felt and performed better, but overall movement and control is better with the Viper (58g vs 80g).
i think you just have to find your shape. i bough 3 very similar mice recently, but i like the op1 the most, even though the differences are so minute.
thanks for doing this video
Thank you, its very interesting! What about Dareu a980pro max?
Not used it I’m afraid!
