I adore dive bars I’ve been going since I was 20 in Chicago met so many nice people lots of older people go in & tell their life stories it ended up closing & I ended up moving but it opened my eyes to the real world you hear so many stories you’ll meet everyone from nurses to drug dealers to pre school teachers

I love my local dive bar. Only a month going here and already best friends with 30+ people. All hangout every night. Have a great time. I used to hate alcohol, but ayy, it's a good life

Ellen's talk makes me want to get out of my pj's, put on some jeans and head out to find the nearest dive bar!

Didn’t read the entire title of the video but satisfied to realize this video was covering my home town of San Diego. A little disappointed that you mentioned the Waterfront (the supposed “oldest bar in San Diego”) but not Tivoli, the real oldest bar in San Diego. Lol jk not a real big deal I’m just drunk venting lmao!

Interestingly enough, you can get the same benefits by just walking outside and doing something infinitely more positive...like anything but binge drinking. Ask any addict...and my father. This doesn't belong on TED.
