This is an old indian technique, starting with Pranayam... I am happy that she is spreading this ancient method to an audience who might have not heard about India and its ancient method s ! Namaste to you from India !
Thanks for the upload and thanks to Stacey Schuerman! I've had anxiety problems for years, and it's breathwork which really helps in stressful times, such as when my youngest is having a tantrum. The brilliant thing is that breathwork is free! One can simply activate the parasympathetic nervous system in a few minutes. I wish all those who read this comment a boss day.

Absolutely!! Breath focus is an amazing way to improve health and quality of life! One tip, Stacey, locking your knees will begin to wear you down as well. Just a slight bend in your knees can help the flow of chi to energize you.
Stacey thank you for sharing this breath work. Some people are mouth breathers…please remember to breathe thru your nostrils when inhaling and exhaling.
I want to say something realy deep and i also want everyone to try it , firstly you need to practice deep breaths and then the breath will be surlly in the subconsious and you can use while you are studying or cleaning , It`s so effective and impactful , Enjoying
Guided Meditation has changed my life and now I just started doing Wim Hof's breathing technique each morning, followed by a cold shower. Just 3 days now and I feel like a new man. I'm 57. I feel like I'm back in my 30s and it makes meditations go even deeper. I'm so glad I found both. Try them. What do you have to lose?
@@AsmaSohailMRTH Dont quit, take eth slow.Sometimes you can push the breathing, other times less so.Dynamic I dont mess with cold exposure of any king tho. Not health enough(maybe i wont still after i get much healthyer)
Darko P That is right. No point in harming oneself. Truth to be told, it has become a bit of on and off. Two or three days of meditation and breathing and cold showers and then a few days off. But the benefits are there and I aim to continue doing without overdoing it till I am fit enough.I am seeing some weight loss as well. Not sure if it has anything to do with the breathing exercises.
The simple task of regulating breathing can have a tremendous impact on mental health. Stress, anxiety, and their consequent health issues are such a big issue in our society, and taking this small step can make a difference. As a medical school student, I experience high levels of stress on a near constant basis. The simple act of taking five minutes to stop and focus on my breathing, or just going outside and getting some fresh air, makes a world of difference. There are numerous studies on the benefits of breathing exercises for a wide range of pathological conditions. As a future osteopathic physician, I’ll encourage my patients to avail themselves of meditative breathing exercises, for their physiological, emotional, and spiritual benefit. The principle of beneficence dictates that I do the best I can for all of my patients, part of which entails treating the whole person with any and all beneficial modes of treatment.
This is working as long as you take it very seriously, its not that too easy to concentrate your perfect breathing but with this strategy you'll notice that it is actually work like you can now face the challenges in your life as you open your eyes.
This technique has been used for several thousands years especially in India. It’s still one of the most important meditation practices of the Buddhist monks till today. I wish the speaker could mention where this technique originally comes from.
I wish I watched this before I took this test I took today! I failed for the third time ! But oddly I felt fine! I felt like I need to try one more time and after doing this breathing exercise I know what to do for next time ! I'm very determined to pass this time around ! Next month
Thank you for this video. I already do a focusing on the breath exercise every morning, but in a much simpler and shorter way. I use to ground and take four deep breathes. Four, because it is the number of nature. Takin in new power with the inhale, and pushing out all anxiety, fear and weakness out with the exhale. Well, after this video I am thinking about to improve that exercise. Thank you for the guidence.
@Self Improvement I do it before. Of course 'looking' at the breathing is a common technique in meditation, but when I do this technique before I start the sitting meditation, the I get way more calm. I think it is the body that needs less air, so your breathing calms down, so you become more still. It stills the mind.
Lovely relaxing technique. AND A belly breath is really important. !! Rather than raising up, the shoulder muscles being used and going up, breathe with the diaphragm and into the belly. Raising the shoulders to breathe is a stress response to protect the jugular. drop down into a diaphragmatic breath to expand the whole respiratory system. Namaste.
for religious people, this is even more soothing if you call on the name of God, one syllable on inhale, one on exhale. it really eliminates alot of problems in life. Like a prayer, but you dont have to think about anything.
This is beautiful work. I would like to point out that Namaste is a respectful Hello in India. It is a form of greeting used when people meet together in a formal setting. I think Westerners practicing yoga use it as a replacement for "Bless You" or "Peace be to you" and I notice they use it at the very end. This is completely fine but it might confuse Indians if they go to India or other Hindi speaking cultures.
