@@neansath In Arkane Terms, DAI was like Deathloop, it's was okay but a huge drop from Dishonored. Veilguard looks to be their Redfall.
That "together" in bold letters makes me even more worried than the art-style
I mean the game has been re-re-redone a billion times. None of the previous games were what the fans wanted after Origins was concluded. There is no way this game ends up being good. Decent maybe, an actual Dragon Age game, no.

@@Phelaidar oh no they seem to have completely cut the multiplayer aspect. I think they are going for a guardians of the galaxy vibe where they want you to be attached to your companions as a band instead of just your character and a few sidekicks.

They never did. 2 and inquisition were never what we liked about origins. And apparently the art direction of origins was a mistake lol.
Man I am so disappointed! Why would they do this to fans! I love all the other 3 games! So why did they change it! For what reason!

@@conradkorbol Dragon Age 2 had a great start but the publishers made them cut corners and gave them an abismal deadline. They did the best they could with what little time and resources they got.
@@conradkorbol am I the only one who really loved inquisition? Not as good as the first but as a stand alone game it was excellent, just need to ignore fetchy bloat quests.
This doesnt feel DA. It feels like a trailer for another coop team shooter. Like, is every companion going to be a quirky, sassy one liner delivering cluche? DA had its comedy but this feels out of keeping for the series which had a hopeful tone in a grim setting. And do i seebthey changed the Darkspawn AGAIN?!
It's been that since Dragon Age 2. And it was meant to be a multiplayer quirky flashy game to begin with so there was no doubt it would end up being like that. Expecting anything else would be delusional. Bioware has completely lost track of what the players want.
That gameplay reveal better be something, because this trailer was not good.

I really really hope the art direction was just for this trailer and the gameplay trailer shows us otherwise. Cartoony graphics do not mesh with the gritty dark fantasy world of dragon age, it makes me sad watching this

@@weareone6297 Art style aside, even the dialogue and banter feel very "cheesy comic book", as opposed to DA's classic grimdark fantasy. This has moved so far away from being the successor to Baldur's Gate that it started out as. Might be time to to accept that Bioware just isn't Bioware anymore. We'll see.

None of the original Bioware team is at Bioware anymore. Mary Kirby was the oldest writer left. She was responsible for writing Varric and Merrill. They dumped her after this was finished. Bioware is Bioware in name only now.

@@Ash-tm2sv I mean they never had very close ties between the game in terms of characters. We usually have only one character in the next game. Anders from 1 to 2, Varric and Cassandra from 2 to 3 and Varric/Harding/Solas from 3 to 4. But the warden, Hawke and the inquisitor are so hard to re-use because of how decisiosn are made.

That's so true. Even Origins was very much that but at least it was an attempt at improving classic CRPGs it wasn't a soulless copy-paste. DA2 with the "let's do an action game, DA3 with "let's do Ubisoft open world game". And now "let's make a multiplayer kid's friendly Marvel vibes game". At least they scrapped the multiplayer aspect ... yay?

Wow how do we go from female characters like Morrigan (my favourite of all time) and Leilana (my third favourite of all time after shadowheart) to this. I still remember those characters 15 years later. I’ll wait for reviews but looks like I won’t even play this game.

I miss the old BioWare and the classic RPGs they created that I still play to this day. The company is BioWare in name only now, all of the original talented developers who made that company a household name are long gone. I'm hoping for good things from Archetype Entertainment, the landing place for many old-school BioWare employees.
So...did the change the name because Solas and the events of Inquisition just dont matter?

@@Anthony-pq4vr no dragon age 2 was ok at best. I was one of the only defenders of that game when it came out and it’s aged worse than dragon age origins.
Inquisition was good at meant a lot to lgbtq plus people but lacked immersive environments and the characters just weren’t as in depth as origins nor was the word. The plot was too big.
I mean it’s good but not great.
I will still be playing this game as dragon origins is my favorite game of all time and dragon inquisition wss fun.
But I know the series will always be worse than oririgns and this looks more like 2 than inquisition. Also they need to stop making varric a companion.
@@conradkorbol the “origins good DA2 bad” argument is super dated bro. In reality all of them have been fine. Origins was objectively the best, a classic of modern gaming. But 2 + Inquisition were still solid games, as I’m sure this one will be. It’s prob not going to be another Origins, and that’s fine. Long as the characters are meaningful and the gameplay is fun I’ll be playing!🫡 yall love to hate things
@@Anthony-pq4vr it’s not dated. Most people still have this opinion. And I replayed them all recently I can tell you that origins ages better.
There were lots of people who only played 2 and inquisition and they all liked 2 but the people who played 2 after origins who think it’s good are very few and far between.
I liked and defended 2 upon its release and I Ike inquisition and defended it. But yes they are not great games. They are ok to good games and I agre this game probably will be too

I was expecting EXPEDITION 33 tone for this game. This is so light hearted.
people have already gotten quite unsatisfied because how diff it is from the last three games. imo, this is a whole new game, with different stories, characters, gameplay n stuff, so it's not surprissing if it's "different". guess Bioware would have to shrug it all off with the gameplay trailers.. still, props to the developers who've done all the hard work for this game that we all gonna love (or not) heheh
Yeah f*** this BioWare is dead as a company. Everything I heard coming into the trailer made me think that the game is probably going to be bad. The trailer has not alleviated any of these concerns.
I'm saving my judgement for the gameplay trailer but that made this look terrible.

It's a cinematic trailer and not gameplay. Traditional animation is 24 frames. Gameplay will likely be more than that though.
