I have played the game and i know what part its supposed to represent its just not as nearly epic of a showdown as its portrayed here hence the comment varrics storytelling is really over the top. Thats at least what i thought citronnelle was pointing out. I thought the game was decent a let down yes but decent.
If this cinematic were more like how it played out in the game, Hawke would be running around in circles, hooting like Curly from the Three Stooges as he periodically tosses fireballs at the Arishok when he has a chance. This trailer would also be ten minutes long.
+Alice Legacy haha, yeah it could be a bit dodgy if you were a support mage. I remember beating him pretty easily with a couple builds; one was a Force specialist fire mage, basically a nuke fight, and I remember the Spirit being good, the static cage or w/e it was could lock him up and you could punish him pretty good.

***** OK so you had actual points. good for you. I personally thought it was a great game but you are entitled to your opinion. to be honest i liked the characters, voice acting, and combat styles. i loved the plot. and while a lot of your choices didn't have a huge impact it made more sense. you werent building an army to save the world like in DA:O and DA:I. you were just man trying to take care of his family and make a name for himself. i didnt think any character looked cartoonish except fenris. i thought it was a huge improvement in graphics. the only flaw i found in the game was the lack of maps and detail to the maps. but thats what you get when your publisher is EA and the rush the deadline

***** whatever man. The games are fun. DA:I was fantastically done. It had a great plot and great characters and one hell of a plot twist during the epilogue
***** your issue is that you focus too much on the books. the books are based on the games. so that means they don't matter. if the game says something different then that makes the books wrong. and the games dont give a clear picture of who to side with. most of the templars you meet are good people who fear mages a little to much. you also meet a lot of bad mages in DA2 and DA:I. the games present both sides on equal moral footing. bioware made a game that appeals to masses. they dont care what every individual fan wants, they make games that will make the most people happy. and as for the herald of andraste part, the inquisition is a religious order. what did you expect. and your character can either embrace the title or tell everyone he/she isnt holy. it adds a aspect that defines how your character feels about the power and title he/she was given. The entire story was great. it was dramatic, it had its wtf moments, and great cinematics. i almost cried when i had to choose whether to sacrifice hawke or stroud and when i thought flemath was going to steal marrigons son. the story was emotional. And as for the characters. Blackwall was awesome. iron bull was awesome. cassandra was awesome. Dorian and Varric were hilarious. Cole was weird sure, but he was an entertaining character who you were never quite sure what he was. Sera was the only character i didnt like but ive met many people who did. get over yourself and except it was a good game and was well done, but it just wasn't a game for you. if it was a shitty game then it wouldnt have won GOTY
If Mage Hawke had warrior skills in this vid (Pommel Strike and Might Blow) he would do Stagger and Brittle combos all day by himself for massive damage. Just like how magi in Origins can combine spells on their own. Great.
6 years later and this trailer is STILL badass. It's such a damn shame that DA II suffered from rushed development, otherwise it would've been that much better.
I still dont get why people say this is a bad game. Its not, I mean it pales in comparison to origins but most games do. Dragon age 2 is a good game to me and definitely more entertaining then most games these days. I think its a solid 8/10: it has a good story/characters, better paced combat then origins but less strategic, and has a better leveling up system, but has less replay value because of the choices that are less about morals but personal belief.
It's a very average *game* and its underdeveloped - however, I personally couldnt care less about its gameplay, I only play Bioware games for the story and characters (also romances obviously). So while its a very average game, its an awesome story regardless.
+DrekkiHawke I know right? He looked totally hot here and in the game he is...slightly less hot though not terrible looking. I wonder why they made Marian so gorgeous compared to him.
Just finished replaying DAO and DA2 in preparation for DA3... Is it just me or did Hawke go from a warrior to a mage, then a BLOOD MAGE in this trailer? Wut?! Is that the default Hawke in DA3? A blood mage who romanced Isabela? It's a wonder he didn't die from all the STD he got...
From the trailers, there is a Lady Hawke who is a mage, with a male human Warden. I just finished DA2 yesterday in preparation, I don't know about others, but DA2 is one of my favourite games, of all time.
after playing through all three games multiple times I think 2 has the best story and companions. Gameplay elements are lacking but the story just kills it for me.
Do you remember the time when people used to say that Dragon Age 2 was a little bit of dissapointing compare to Origins? If we only knew back then... Now this this game will be a true classic and masterpice compare to that shitty Veilguard.
In this trailer Hawke is shown using BLood Magic yet in Inquisition he keeps talking about it like it's the child of Satan. Bioware forgot its own lore?
Seppe Sorbello I think he used blood magic indeed. First of all, he put blood on his nose, as some kind of ritual, there would be no other explanation for this. And near the end, he seems to run out of mana, so he put his hand on a bruise and took some energy from there (blood) to perform the last spell. Crushing prision or not, he used blood to cast it.
Cássio Martins Actually, when he touches the symbol on his arm, it puts him in a trance-like state, gaining power from his mind, hence the flashback of events, secondly, he only puts blood on his face to prove to the Arishok he is an equal warrior. Also, the spell he casts is called 'Crushing Prison', a spell in the Arcane Tree.
Man... if only you could actually fight the Arishok like this as a Mage. And also, I don't really think of this comment as a spoiler, considering, the champion is FIGHTING THE ARISHOK IN THE TRAILER, so... it's kinda obvious it's going to happen.
Indeed, it would be really cool if a melee mage was more like this (: It's rare to see both arcane warrior and blood mage combined in the game, since it's not that great :D and no it's not a spoiler ^.^
Yep, at least it would be much more realistic than running around drinking potions constantly while dodging Arishok's bullrushes and occasionally slowing him down and feeding with fire and ice... What was it again? "A fair traditional duel with a worthy rival"? ;)
Artem Shinkevich If Mage Hawke had more up and close power than he has in the actual game, the balance would have been completely broken. Warrior and Mage would be kind of pointless when Mage Hawke can cast spells and destroy everyone in melee, too. As a blood mage though, it is kind of possible to engage him in close quarters, not too much however.
hahaha nice comment.. well let just say you the one that choose him to be gay.. so partially you have a desire to be gay... you choose the storyline so blame yourself for what happen derpina..
Mohammad Azmil what are you talking about? I don't get the meaning of what you are saying -.- I didn't make him gay if you really meant that but when I'm talking about Bioware I'm talking about DAO's story and choices, DA2 wasn't better than origins but I enjoyed it either way, ME trilogy's amazing story and gameplay. Bioware creates characters that I can sympathize with and don't want to let go with amazing and interesting companions. That's Bioware in a nutshell :P And I like the option to be gay even though I never was one in the games nor in reality it's good to be able to satisfy everyone's wishes.
Carbon Bonds Nope. It was inferior yes but It certainly wasn't garbage, for me at least. I had fun playing it and I played it a lot of times so I won't admit something like that. That's my opinion and you guys have your opinion on it. Let's leave it at that :)
3 things about this trailer: 1) if Bioware had put half the effort into the game as they did into this trailer, I probably wouldn't have been so disappointed in DA2 (story was decent, characters were broad and somewhat interesting like most Bioware games, romances seemed bland and didn't feel like any of them added to the story, and the repetitive level design just made me really dislike Bioware) 2) if you could have half the power Mage Hawke had in this trailer, I might've actually considered being a Mage (I've never been that good with magic based characters, I've always been more of a front lines sort of guy, not support) 3) (though, this barely has anything to do with the trailer, but I thought of this while writing, and I wanted to put it here) if I were to be a Mage, I would probably fight like Hawke did in the beginning of this trailer, with his magic staff doubling as a long-sword and fighting with the sword and using my magic powers at cheeky moments to try and gain the advantage in a fight (which goes along with me being a front lines sort of guy) or use them when I realize I am losing a fight.
sounds like you want a mage/warrior hybrid, i think they tried to achieve that with the specialisations, i personally chose knight-enchanter, though i'd like to see some kind of true hybrid or no-class system (maybe like an elaborate triangular menu, with skill tiles, where you'd choose a major mage/warrior/rogue skill and purchase skill tiles in the direction you want to go, like further to the triangle corner turns you into some kind of pure class, closer to the center gets you more generalised abilities, and closer to the edge gets you abilities kinda in-between classes), i used to always use the cheat console to swap out skill trees with other classes, always liked using a bow/stealth with magic :p
Aaron Fyfe in DA:O i was playing a mage equipped with a 2handed sword, i never changed the skill trees so i went frontline with slow sword fighting and spells and guess what, it was working well xd
This trailer is epic! I created a mage Hawke just because of it. haha I see so many people talking about how bad this game is... I sincerely enjoyed playing it. The character having a voice added much to the game, the story is awesome, good characters (not much depth in relationships like DAO, but it's still fine), improved gameplay. Of course there are some flaws, like repeated maps for different quests, not much news in abilities for classes, but I consider it a great game. I need to buy a Xbox One as soon as possible, I crave to play DAI.
+djumkue Yep, the thing is that I was going to buy a Xbox One, so I would play DA there. But my PC got some upgrade so I bought it on Origin. Already played it, veeery nice.
***** Believe me if I had the Stroud option, I'd take it. But Loghain..that's another story. As much as I love -and I mean- LOVE Hawke, I have the utmost respect for Loghain.
ElwoodCityDestroyer Axitros The Inquisitor opens a rift to the Fade and goes through it to save Hawke or at least find his remains. Inquisitor: I am sure he was around here last time I saw him. *suddenly rocks tumble down the mountain and the gigantic Fear-spider comes crawling down.* The Iron Bull: "Ah, not this shit again! *storms towards the spider and swings his axe into it´s legs* ???: "Hey don´t just attack my pet! At least ask for permission first!" *Hawke sits on the top of the giant spider, while lust-demons are laying next to his feet* Hawke: "Well, it doesn´t beat my Mabari, but it´s certainly handy when you have to go from one part of the Fade to the other"
I loved this game. I've played it many times. I have been a fan of bioware games since jade empire. But I have to admit that playing dragon age 2 was like reading an outline for a great book. The game could have beens are glaringly apparent through out the game. The fact that there was to be another dlc that was cut short and never made is also apparent in inquisition when we meet up with our hawk. I wish that sometime in the future with tech improving the way it is that they remake this game the team had envisioned from the start missing dlc included. I loved hawke I loved how we could developed his personality and the choses we had. It was a good game that was overly critized and sometimes not fairly. Recently I heard that Gaider had plans to have hawk become possessed by a demon in the game if he was a Mage. It was meant to scare the pants off of us but it was cut.
i still liked the game even though the games' much hating factor, it wasn't as good as origins/awakening but it did have flaws as EA were trying to experiment on these mechanics and layouts of DA 2, now knowing all the community suggested errors hopefully dragon age III will be perfect
The story/gameplay were excellent and on Nightmare difficulty the game is an absolute joy, it was just rushed. With all the background detail of a game given appropriate development time, DA3 should be incredibly fun.
Watching this made me realize the worst part of the new trailer. No enemy is intimidating. Even a dragon is attacked by a single person with no reasonable means. Nothing is a threat. One intimidating opponent is better than any marvel-esque things you can shove into a trailer.
The way i see it, Dragon Age 2 only has one Major drawback - It has to be compared to the Dragon Age series. The thing is, it is a great game, i really enjoyed it, HOWEVER, it has the severe misfortune to need to be compared to one of BioWare's greats. For a game, it is pretty good. But for a BIOWARE game, it is sub-standard. There are far worse games out there that got far better receptions than this.
+Whoami691 I just got into dragon age last year. I love Origins, the fighting was a bit stiff (even more so with mages) but good. Now DA2 made fighting fun! I loved it as a mage, so so much. Sure the story wasn;t what it could've been (Bioware was rushed to make it they only has a year and a half) but its my favorite. I'm glad they took the tactical playstyle of origins with the action based play style of DA2 with DA: I
+jamierawr88 The idiots who complained about da1 most likely didnt play da2. Their's nothing entitled about being upset set about an inferior product. At best you could say the reaction was disproportionate, like punching a chief for a bad steak. But a bad meal is a bad meal and his displeasure for inferior service is valid.
come on yall lets me real, anyone with their ear to the ground knew this was coming. how bad the studio was doing during the dev of the game. the crap game play that leaked like 4 years ago. none of us had any hope for the game much less high hopes.
After oberving a Qunari in battle... ever wonder what they're like in bed? Maybe the reason why you can't romance Sten in DAO is because the cutscene would be too... "National Geographic"?
does anyone get all tingly in their nether regions when Hawke flips that staff...? no? just me? he's my favorite character ever *sighs longingly for 1,000 years*
I hope that we get a class that looks like the way this Hawke fights. A mage but a mage who uses their staff blade like a spear, like a more melee centered Mage build. Dai kinda has this with the Knight Enchanter, but it's very simplistic
Oh, Varric. Thank you for not including all the pansy retreating I had to do to drink potions and fire pot shots. This representation of the fight is much more heroic.
M'kay, I know this has been shot down forever and ever by "it costs too much money" or "it's a crap-ton of work", but in the distant future, when it's not so hard and is cheaper, they need to make a fully animated movie with this quality. They really, really need to.
I did love this game...but it has a very shitty ending and I dont mean story ending...I mean when I finish the game I cant keep playing with the same character..you only stay in your house forever. ..which I dislike it for that fact
Man, Varric's storytelling is really over the top.
Best comment I've read on this video.
+Citronnelle yet we never see a dwarf in one of the cinematic trailers of a dragon age game. Nor an elf for that matter
Or the fact that this trailer really didnt represent the game in anyway.
I have played the game and i know what part its supposed to represent
its just not as nearly epic of a showdown as its portrayed here hence
the comment varrics storytelling is really over the top. Thats at least
what i thought citronnelle was pointing out. I thought the game was
decent a let down yes but decent.
yawn thats not what i said and its not exactly like the trailer.
Varric made me look good in this cutscene.. It's a shame there was a lot more running around chugging potions than he bothered to write down
Fawkes Pryde whhhhyyyyyy ....!! Toooo funny !!!
I love how impressed Cassandra is when she hears about it and I’m just sitting there thinking about all the running and screaming I did
You know you're not supposed to DRINK poultices right?
Y'all just need to make a better build ;/
In ur opinion what is the best build @MEUAR
If this cinematic were more like how it played out in the game, Hawke would be running around in circles, hooting like Curly from the Three Stooges as he periodically tosses fireballs at the Arishok when he has a chance. This trailer would also be ten minutes long.
+Phlebas yep thats like how it happen for me as well
+Phlebas while failing to solve or stop any problem for the city.
Ha! Your Comment made my day!
Varric must have made this cinematic then. It's just like one of his stories
Those pillars were a godsend. Lol.
Trailer: Badass fighting with lots of cool moves
Reality: Running around the two pillars and chugging potions
Thank the lord for those 2 pillars. The real unsung heroes
Even as a warrior I get screwed over by that damn Qunari.
@@Owliare for me it was ALOT easier to defeat him as a mage..aas a warrier I got stunned so easily
omg that's so true xD
@@alexstoll2557 mage =best it's the one in the trailer

Whose idea was it to show a mage Hawke killing the Arishok this way ? I think every mages won this fight by outrunning the thing
Haha, yeah pretty much. I just remember having to run about an cast spells before he charged me. Kinda tedious, especially in hard mode .-.
+Alice Legacy haha, yeah it could be a bit dodgy if you were a support mage. I remember beating him pretty easily with a couple builds; one was a Force specialist fire mage, basically a nuke fight, and I remember the Spirit being good, the static cage or w/e it was could lock him up and you could punish him pretty good.
i fight him head-on and im a mage. He's hard but not too hard
+Konata Carter I tried to play da2 as rogue and didn't go well...I choose mage and everything went to easy....same thing happened on da inquisition
Daniel Evangelista Being a mage was always the best in all Dragon Age games. Im a huge mage fan so i dont mind. Though, i rather be a Battlemage.
This doesn't look anything like my fight in the game, It had more running away, taking pot shots and desperately trying not to die.
Trailer!Hawke: Embraces destiny, does not show fear, engages the Arishok in melee
Game!Hawke: Screams hysterically for their mabari to come back while chugging health potions and hiding behind pillars.
LOL
Creepy Ostrich i feel like im the only mage Hawke that ran up to the Arishok and beat him to death with my staff. It wasnt easy But i atill did it xD
Me too lmao
Not all of us play on lowest difficulty.Cause thats the only way to do it without cheats or mods.

Staff play 😂
Still the most stylish magic combat I've seen

We were too harsh on you...
Aha
This trailer is the best one yet but the game itself had a lot of problems.

Still didn't deserve all the hate
This trailer is misleading. It should've had Hawke running around taking shots at the Arishok and making sharp turns.
And using health potions every 5 seconds
Seriously, everyone had problems with this fight. My tank hawke just went one on one with the arishok... in a really long battle because he did like 0 damage.

Going back and watching all the old trailers, remembering what once was.
Even Dragon age 2 trailer was 1000 times better that you know what
Feels like home
If Mage Hawke had warrior skills in this vid (Pommel Strike and Might Blow) he would do Stagger and Brittle combos all day by himself for massive damage.
Just like how magi in Origins can combine spells on their own. Great.
+Hermit Crab mage --> mages
magus --> magi
+Hermit Crab i wish they couldve done that class combo, at least for the default Hawke
Coming here to cleanse my eyes after Veilguard
Its even better compared to new dragon age 4 trailer
idc about the sloppy gameplay, this is still one my favorite games ever
6 years later and this trailer is STILL badass. It's such a damn shame that DA II suffered from rushed development, otherwise it would've been that much better.
The future lies in the past.
Oberyn vs The Mountain
Nowhere close.
Shit, Hawke isn't wearing a helmet. o.o
Mort Onmaz Must be disabled in the options. :D
The mage still has his teeth... For that matter.... His head
@@Dazen101 yeah the Arishok could actually fight and would have won if Hawke didn't use magic
I still dont get why people say this is a bad game. Its not, I mean it pales in comparison to origins but most games do. Dragon age 2 is a good game to me and definitely more entertaining then most games these days. I think its a solid 8/10: it has a good story/characters, better paced combat then origins but less strategic, and has a better leveling up system, but has less replay value because of the choices that are less about morals but personal belief.
i give it 5/10 at most
average game
People also seem to forget it was made in 16 months, which game wise is a very very short time period.
@@song1of1fire1 And for a 16 month game, it isn't that bad.
It's a very average *game* and its underdeveloped - however, I personally couldnt care less about its gameplay, I only play Bioware games for the story and characters (also romances obviously). So while its a very average game, its an awesome story regardless.
@@song1of1fire1 A year in a half made if I'm not mistaken.
I honestly wish game Hawke looked like the one in the trailer. Ah well.
He does for the most part.
+DrekkiHawke I think he looks very much the same in the trailer as he does the actual game, I'm just salty that fem!Hawke isn't as cool.
+DrekkiHawke I know right? He looked totally hot here and in the game he is...slightly less hot though not terrible looking. I wonder why they made Marian so gorgeous compared to him.
SammyLovesPudding I honestly find Marian less appealing than Garrett so xD
+DrekkiHawke To each their own I suppose :)
Reavers are capable of blood magic too dude.
Oh. That makes more sense I guess aahaa.
Hahaha I cracked up at STD. But seriously tho why does Isabela look like THAT in trailers!? WHERE IS MY FEISTY TEMPTRESS/DUSTY QUEEN!?
This trailer was released before they finalized her appearance.
This is the trailer that made me fall in love with this game
yeaaa :3 It's quite nice that, even these days.. This trailer is still quite badass :'D And could probably easily compete with some new trailers :'D
I so wish they made a f!Hawke version of this.
Yeah, that'd be awesome.
I was with this face:
:c
When i saw male Hawke and not Female one, she's so op
@@barbara457890 well she does have the same voice actor as Ciri from The Witcher 3 who is known as The Lady Of Space And Time
THE META knew Female Hawke's voice actress was familiar
Jo Wyatt is the BEST
after playing through all three games multiple times I think 2 has the best story and companions. Gameplay elements are lacking but the story just kills it for me.
Look how they massacred my boy in the Veilguard...
Trailer: Varric's version.
Actual Game: What really happened.
one of the best trailers ever made, but for a game that could and should have been better
Looks like there’s a real invasion on all previous Dragon Age trailers :D
“In War, Victory. In Peace, Vigilance. In Death, by Sacrifice.”
Do you remember the time when people used to say that Dragon Age 2 was a little bit of dissapointing compare to Origins? If we only knew back then... Now this this game will be a true classic and masterpice compare to that shitty Veilguard.
DA2 was always my favourite with real main hero instead of noname character in Origins and "someone who closes portals" in Inquisition
2 was always my favorite
Arishok duel in the trailer-
Epic fight to the death!
Arishok duel in game-
Arishok: "Why are you running? WHY ARE YOU RUNNING!?"
Now THIS is a dragon age trailer, this right here
So much better than Veilguard
In this trailer Hawke is shown using BLood Magic yet in Inquisition he keeps talking about it like it's the child of Satan. Bioware forgot its own lore?
pateuvasiliu I just imagine him winking at Varric every time he says something like that.
pateuvasiliu He doesn't use Blood Magic though, when he rips the Arishok apart, he is using the ability 'Crushing Prison'
Geary Lmao.
Lol well I figured someone would comment "OMG SPOILER WTF"
And oh yeah, in the end, Hawke is beaten by the Arishok in the earlier, in close quarters. The trailer isn't really inaccurate, its just flashier.
best part ever
DA: CA has nothing to do with Dragon Age. it was a rushed game that made little to no logical sense.
Still looks better than Veilguard.
One of my fav games and best gameplay .
GladX I feel sorry for you
+GladX the game was really fun I agree, but it was a bit choppy in the story department, but overall I enjoyed it greatly
You don't have standards on video games then.
+Hydronair I like tall good looking blonds, is that enough ?
Can't wait for the Inquisition!!!!! :D Bioware is my hero when it comes to RPG
hahaha nice comment.. well let just say you the one that choose him to be gay.. so partially you have a desire to be gay... you choose the storyline so blame yourself for what happen derpina..
That's Bioware in a nutshell :P And I like the option to be gay even though I never was one in the games nor in reality it's good to be able to satisfy everyone's wishes.
at least admit that Dragon age 2 was garbage and vastly inferior to everything in Dragon age 1.
Carbon Bonds
Nope. It was inferior yes but It certainly wasn't garbage, for me at least. I had fun playing it and I played it a lot of times so I won't admit something like that. That's my opinion and you guys have your opinion on it. Let's leave it at that :)
I think I can imagine that situation hahaha I have been in a lot of these actually I really don't understand why though... -.- xD
3 things about this trailer: 1) if Bioware had put half the effort into the game as they did into this trailer, I probably wouldn't have been so disappointed in DA2 (story was decent, characters were broad and somewhat interesting like most Bioware games, romances seemed bland and didn't feel like any of them added to the story, and the repetitive level design just made me really dislike Bioware)
2) if you could have half the power Mage Hawke had in this trailer, I might've actually considered being a Mage (I've never been that good with magic based characters, I've always been more of a front lines sort of guy, not support)
3) (though, this barely has anything to do with the trailer, but I thought of this while writing, and I wanted to put it here) if I were to be a Mage, I would probably fight like Hawke did in the beginning of this trailer, with his magic staff doubling as a long-sword and fighting with the sword and using my magic powers at cheeky moments to try and gain the advantage in a fight (which goes along with me being a front lines sort of guy) or use them when I realize I am losing a fight.
You sounds like Fenris.
sounds like you want a mage/warrior hybrid, i think they tried to achieve that with the specialisations, i personally chose knight-enchanter, though i'd like to see some kind of true hybrid or no-class system (maybe like an elaborate triangular menu, with skill tiles, where you'd choose a major mage/warrior/rogue skill and purchase skill tiles in the direction you want to go, like further to the triangle corner turns you into some kind of pure class, closer to the center gets you more generalised abilities, and closer to the edge gets you abilities kinda in-between classes), i used to always use the cheat console to swap out skill trees with other classes, always liked using a bow/stealth with magic :p
Michael Brandes u can use the blade on the staff if u have it
Aaron Fyfe in DA:O i was playing a mage equipped with a 2handed sword, i never changed the skill trees so i went frontline with slow sword fighting and spells and guess what, it was working well xd
Who came back here after the Dragon Age 2024 trailer that looked like a corperate disney comercial for a mobile game?
This trailer is epic! I created a mage Hawke just because of it. haha I see so many people talking about how bad this game is... I sincerely enjoyed playing it. The character having a voice added much to the game, the story is awesome, good characters (not much depth in relationships like DAO, but it's still fine), improved gameplay. Of course there are some flaws, like repeated maps for different quests, not much news in abilities for classes, but I consider it a great game. I need to buy a Xbox One as soon as possible, I crave to play DAI.
+Cássio Martins Agree, it was a good game, without "saving a world", just a personal story of Hawke
+djumkue Yep, the thing is that I was going to buy a Xbox One, so I would play DA there. But my PC got some upgrade so I bought it on Origin. Already played it, veeery nice.
"Corypheus is mine." You died a champion Hawke. We all mourn you.
***** Believe me if I had the Stroud option, I'd take it. But Loghain..that's another story. As much as I love -and I mean- LOVE Hawke, I have the utmost respect for Loghain.
We Started this then its our duty to end it. Your job is to REBUILD! said hawke then he said "Corypheus is mine"
katsupoi24 more likely he'll takeover the fade
The cannon Hawke(in Biowares book canon) was a blood mage, he would make the fade his bitch.
ElwoodCityDestroyer Axitros
The Inquisitor opens a rift to the Fade and goes through it to save Hawke or at least find his remains.
Inquisitor: I am sure he was around here last time I saw him.
*suddenly rocks tumble down the mountain and the gigantic Fear-spider comes crawling down.*
The Iron Bull: "Ah, not this shit again!
*storms towards the spider and swings his axe into it´s legs*
???: "Hey don´t just attack my pet! At least ask for permission first!"
*Hawke sits on the top of the giant spider, while lust-demons are laying next to his feet*
Hawke: "Well, it doesn´t beat my Mabari, but it´s certainly handy when you have to go from one part of the Fade to the other"
I loved this game. It was meant to scare the pants off of us but it was cut.
i still liked the game even though the games' much hating factor, it wasn't as good as origins/awakening but it did have flaws as EA were trying to experiment on these mechanics and layouts of DA 2, now knowing all the community suggested errors hopefully dragon age III will be perfect
finally! someone who can enjoy this game and be okay with it's flaws and still say they enjoy it!
The story/gameplay were excellent and on Nightmare difficulty the game is an absolute joy, it was just rushed. With all the background detail of a game given appropriate development time, DA3 should be incredibly fun.
Good words my friend!!!!
whatever7240
that's actually quite true and I'm glad someone was able to point that out.
But a bad meal is a bad meal and his displeasure for inferior service is valid.
man, i'll make a resume of how to beat DA:0. Send the tank in the middle of ennemies. AOE taunt. Aoe DMG. Rince and repeat. What a hard game !
*****
Nice opinion, but that is all it is. :)
I love these trailers so much!! It doesn't feel like a game trailer at all! Someone should make a movie out of these!
Watch this badass thing again after release of DA 4 shitty trailer. Still great
come on yall lets me real, anyone with their ear to the ground knew this was coming. how bad the studio was doing during the dev of the game. the crap game play that leaked like 4 years ago. none of us had any hope for the game much less high hopes.
That fight was freaking hard in the game
If you pause at 0:33 behind Arishok, if you look close enough, you can see all temples went extinct that day.
Man, they should remake the same with the latest engine.
Just started my first playthrough of dragon age 2 this week! Can’t wait to delve deeper into the story!
Never realized he used blood magic at the end right there. Didn’t even think about it till now. Huh
It’s an Arcane Warrior ability that he used
@@yang6642 I thought there was no arcane warrior in 2
Who here after the excuse that is Dragon Age: The Veilguard trailer?
You have to admit, Hawke's walk is badass.
Aah yeah there it is the violence blood and greyish tone with symphonic metal to calm my nerves.
After oberving a Qunari in battle... ever wonder what they're like in bed? Maybe the reason why you can't romance Sten in DAO is because the cutscene would be too... "National Geographic"?
Whaaaaat?
a heated pry bar is needed
kinderghostdog That reminds me... It may try to nuzzle.
In inquisition you can romance a qunari! (if i am correct!)
Rufus Scipio
only the guy ick lol
I think it's quite obvious that the only logical lore-wise and meta-narrative-wise choice is a mage Hawke, same goes for Aedan Cousland Warden.
And then warrior Maxwell Trevelyan for Inquisition
@@yang6642 definently
man. what a difference
Look so real Dragon Age so amazing than veilguard… :(
does anyone get all tingly in their nether regions when Hawke flips that staff...? no? just me? he's my favorite character ever *sighs longingly for 1,000 years*
I hope that we get a class that looks like the way this Hawke fights. A mage but a mage who uses their staff blade like a spear, like a more melee centered Mage build. Dai kinda has this with the Knight Enchanter, but it's very simplistic
so basically bring back the Arcane Warrior specialization from DA:O but put it in overdrive.
Came back here just to remind myself of how dragon age used to be. New dragon age is doodoo
Oh, Varric. Thank you for not including all the pansy retreating I had to do to drink potions and fire pot shots. This representation of the fight is much more heroic.
Freaking Fenris setting me up for a dang duel with the Arishok, I'm still salty many years later
Ah yes, back when Hawke was intended to be the Shepard of DA. And then his story went nowhere :(
The gameplay wasn't great, but DAMN the characters and storyline were AWESOME!!!
u got that backwards
another blood mage......... why all mages in kirkwall are so crazy, kirkwall the city of demons, the arishock is riht, the madness of this city
I thought Kirkwall is where the magisters torn down the veil? there are these codex that you collect and it tells so.
Ohh, i always thought it was, they mentions lot of slave sacrifices and stuff, i thought it means that is where they enter the Black City
I figured it was because Meredith was treating them all like crap in comparison to the other circles
But even still, DA:O had a lot of blood mages
Erin u talking about the champion? Of so that’s incorrect it’s more likely the power of rage
Plays blood mage in DA2. Sides With Templars... DA3 Hawke justifies siding with Templars by saying the Circle was full of blood mages... Hypocrite XD
Was isabela the canon li?
Here after Veilgonorrhea trailer...
in all honesty this is the game that got me into dragon age and the only dragon age which ive beaten 4 times. One of my favorites!
anyone else coming here to cleanse their palates after the horrific Dragon Age: The Wokeguard trailer?
M'kay, I know this has been shot down forever and ever by "it costs too much money" or "it's a crap-ton of work", but in the distant future, when it's not so hard and is cheaper, they need to make a fully animated movie with this quality. They really, really need to.
Won't be too long til fans can will have the technology to do it themselves.
I did love this game...but it has a very shitty ending and I dont mean story ending...I mean when I finish the game I cant keep playing with the same character..you only stay in your house forever. ..which I dislike it for that fact
........umm isnt DA 1 also like that?
Never played Dragon Age, but this looks way cooler what we got today . How are we going backwards ?!
This is how a single human can overcome the greatest enemies, no a grey warden, but a human.
