He was awesome, sharp as hell and had balls of steel back then. Most importantly, he ripped on both left and right-wing ideologies and seemed to be a blend of both. I can't stop watching these commentaries.
He didn't seem a blend of both at all. I heard the video. He was being conservative. Hence, why Dennis Miller is known as a "conservative comedian." Conservatives also champion common sense over feelings or emotion. I think what you mean to say is, he's not overtly political. "Then [there are] older-school, RIGHT-WING comedians, people like DENNIS MILLER, or Tim Allen. They’re less overtly political, and they’re more conservative in cultural feel." -- "Liberals Should Be Worried About the Conservative Comedy Scene," Politico magazine, 05/13/2022
I'm only a few years younger than Dennis, and I couldn't keep up with the name drops to save my life. So many politicians and celebrities, had my head spinnin.

Here in 2023 it appears the more things have changed the more they have remained the same. It appears so, Dennis. We just get stupider faster now.
Dennis Miller's take on the McDonald's coffee incident was way off, on every level but I'm sure it was due to the lack of the facts being released at the time.
I was just about to make this same comment. The misinformation about that case was actually caused by McDonalds PR team. They were 100% wrong in this and the only reason the judge made the amount so large was because McDonald’s lawyers kept asking for continuances.
johnmonk66, I wonder if there was multiple cases or copycats trying to make a quick buck because this is the first I’ve heard of faulty lids being the issue. When this story broke, it was simply a women that spilt her coffee and sued because it burnt her.

Good rant as always, and still applicable today, but he's wrong about the McDonald's coffee case. The woman got severe burns because McDonald's violated safety procedures. Wikipedia has a decent summary of it.

Give 800,000 lawyers M-1 rifles left over from Korean War and ship them to Afghanistan, Syria, and Somalia to fight the jihadists and radical Islamic assholes. Also include douche bag politicians from local, state and Washington DC.

Man it wasn't bad in 1996. It's 100 times worse now.
Here's the Dennis Miller I miss.
God I love these!

The woman was severely burned because their lids sucked, most people d not know she is scarred for life
Yeaaah, Dennis kind of went with the zeitgeist and didn't do his research. Adam Conover cleared it up.

Dennis Miller for President!!
The only thing I don't like is that he rip on the McDonald's coffee lawsuit. There was a lot more to it than her just suing for $3M.
Came here to say this. I expect Miller to look deeper.
