Actually, if you remember drivers ed, green means go, yellow means prepare to stop or proceed with caution, and red means come to a full and complete stop. It doesn't mean wait for green. After you've stopped, there's no law that says you can't proceed through the intersection after checking for other cars. I knew someone who got out of a ticket for citing this fact.
@@ragnaraxelson59 Yes. I can't say the law is worded the same in every state, although I suspect it is. Check your local laws. If it doesn't say wait for green, the law is on your side.
@@ragnaraxelson59 It specifies that you have to wait for green? Interesting. In the case of the person I mentioned, he was at a lighted intersection in a major city (Seattle) at 2:30 in the morning on a weekday after work. Full visibility of potential traffic in all directions. Literally no one else on the road. Streets deserted. He comes to a complete stop, checks for cars, and then proceeds through. A cop sitting in a parking lot spotted him and issued a ticket. He pointed out the law, which only said you must come to a full and complete stop. Case dismissed. Seems a bit irrational to compel people to wait when no potential hazard exists, but I guess I'd be hard pressed to to put much faith in drivers judgement these days. People in a hurry will end up misjudging the speed of oncoming side traffic thinking they can "make it" and claim they had the legal right to make the attemt.
@@ElderTechDragon yeah I'm just north of Seattle where the laws are all different. They drove on the left hand side of the road in the early 1900s for God's sake!
He's still funny and insighful, just a different political philosophy. Seinfeld has similar politics, he just doesn't talk about it so he won't have to deal with the fallout. Funny is funny.
Best News-Cast ever on SNL. Dennis Miller.... your still the best and the funniest.... even when I watch the old clips of you... nobody has topped it....! Or ever will. Fey with Fallon had come close.... but not close enough. First was Chevy Chase and Aykroyd and Jane Curtin.... then Dennis... the the Fey Fallon.... but Dennis was the one who topped it all and nobody will take that away... ever. It's like it's set in stone. But if it ever happened that Seinfeld was in that seat as a news-caster.... he's too much of a pushover to himself and would never survive in that style of comedy... never would he !!!
Miller would be a great guest on CICGC...what you waiting for Seinfeld?! No offense, but why repeat guests if there's more interesting people to talk to like this Miller guy?!
Is there tension between Miller and Jerry? I sense something is there.... is Dennis Miller the only comedian who hasn't been on Comedians and Cars Getting Coffee? Someone explain this. They are the two best since 1990!
John Seymour Unitas Miller burned a lot of bridges post 9/11. He used to always criticize the president, democrat or republican extremely harshly, like a comedian should. But after the attacks he became patriotic, many say overly so. Maybe he lost someone that September, or someone close to him did and persuaded him to be more conservative. It's not clear. Last I heard he works closely with Bill O'Reilley on his show/idea of "news." This is the man who used to call the Republican Party a pack of backstabbing gremlins. Miller also used to work on SNL and rub shoulder with all the New Yorker/Jewish/left wing comedians. They liked him too. Miller's vocabulary in his impressive rants and stand up reveals him to be slightly too well read at times to be 100% relatable for a lot of people and it worked for his comedic "character." Like Larry David he became a "comedian's comedian," for being different. Now they see him as a traitor, when I think he was always a polite moderate who was blown to the right by the 9/11 terrorist bomb.
John Hein , you lose someone in a tragic way, I'm surprised anyone who knew anyone on that day still got up after that or any tragedy for matter...... I couldn't imagine. As for his career direction, if it makes him happy and is worthwhile putting in the time then good for him. I did like him somewhat before but only vaguely heard of him after.
The producers at Netflix decide who gets on the show. Every guest was left leaning, even Norm had to pretend to be left leaning before they let him on. Ignore angry democrats creating narratives.
lord wonders why a jerry fan can't keep his mouth shut by taking a big shit on dennis miller. this is in respect for both as they are, themselves, giving each other respect.
"Came out" as a conservative? LOL I would suggest that you are at least a fiscal conservative as well. Pretty sure you don't spend 3 trillion dollars while taking in 2 trillion dollars. Or spend $1000 while earning $750. Miller is common sense. You apparently have a problem with that.
Calm down, this message was for the liberals who don't like him simply because he is a conservative. I would ask you what makes you think I have a problem with Miller but experience has shown me that people don't have intelligent debates via social media forums...
Ethical, apart from when he picked up a 17 girl in the park when he was 39yo then went on letterman some years later to do a bit about 'she was only 17, you know what I mean' and suggested the police might want to have a conversation with Paul.
I've gotta say it again!those baggie ass suits of the 90s were HORRIBLE i bet they look at them selfs and laugh including Steve Harvey waaaay to baggie HORRIBLE style.
Why did Miller have Seinfeld on as a guest--the tension is awful here. Miller will never understand or accept Jewish comedy. He has to be wigged about the extraordinary amount of money Seinfeld was making that he wasn't making. The thought of Seinfeld must push every button that Miller has. Seinfeld is a stinker here as well. For me, Seinfeld and Miller playing the same room is ABUSE.
I disliked and found his show more annoying than entertaining, but Seinfeld is a very talented & funny Comedian......Which is a good thing for a Comedian to be, as it were.
I've never seen Jerry like this.... he's different here, and I like it.
