  • This is a overview of the 2020 Infiniti QX50 Edition 30. I drove this car around for a little over a week and became very disappointed in what was an otherwise good small SUV. All QX50's come with the VC line of turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engines. The VC stands for variable compression which uses special connecting rods to allow for this. It utilizes a lower compression for improved fuel economy and a higher compression for improved horsepower when its needed. The engine makes 268 HP and 280 LB-FT of torque which is fairly impressive numbers for a 4 banger but it delivers this power horribly through it CVT (continuously variable transmission). these transmissions are awful at delivering performance but will help with fuel economy. CVT's have been around for awhile with Nissan first putting it into a production vehicle in 1992 and Infiniti in 2013.
