With that lowered suspension, that “ crossover “ looks exactly like a station wagon. This car proves my point that crossovers are nothing more than a lifted station wagon.
Okay like this is a really nice car and tbh it’s one of the best looking in its class but I can’t get over the CVT like the turbo engine is perfect for the class but that transmission is a deal breaker for me because I don’t want my car to sound like it’s getting destroyed everytime I put my foot down
Agreed. Up until now, the last five cars I've leased were Infiniti's. I wanted to go from a sedan to an SUV and gave the QX50 a test drive. But I was disappointed with the "feel" of the transmission so I went with the 2020 Volvo XC60 T6 R-Design and haven't looked back.
This must be a popular model as I see it everywhere - like the emphasis on comfort over performance; really liked interior although the split screens seemed distracting. Read in another comment below the care you’re taking with COVID & glad to hear - here in Fl we’re on fire with it. You guys stay safe - really great review, coupons and all!
The exterior design is very nice, just wish the interior matched the exterior more. The darn CVT needs to go, this would do so much better without it. Give us a smooth shifting traditional transmission.
Howdy, great review as always y’all! I have to say, I’m impressed at what Infinity did here even though I’d stil go for the NX or XC60, but this has definitely pushed the Q5 down a spot!😸😻😸
lol..as a Q5 owner who has test driven this Qx50..just no. The Q5 is one of the best SUvs ever made and about 10 classes above this in every aspect. The 7 speed DCT transmission and 2.0 T engine in the stock Q5 eats this for lunch. Handling is better, visibility is better, real leather is standard, MMI infotainment makes more sense and looks better, its quieter, it handles better and it tows more.
Ininiti, Lexus and Acura really need to redo their infotainment, at least a design overhaul. Just take RX350 for example, exemplary cruiser but infotainment is trash, even VW does a better job on infotainment. Probably the next update in 2022 will be better but it's really showing its age compared to what Germans are bringing to the table.
Agreed 100%. We have both a 2019 Lexus RX350 Ultra Lux and 2019 Audi A6 Prestige, and the RX infotainment is terrible compared to the Audi. The stupid mouse controller is the worse, and even though the new 2020 touch pad is significantly better, it’s still not as good as the Audi system. The 360 cameras in the Lexus also needs a upgrade, as it looks very low res when compared to the German counterparts. Of course, you’re going pay an extra 12-20k more for the German counterpart.
Hey, I also live in Lexington so I can answer you. We closed everything mid March and our government has done a great job updating us and keeping us safe. They have be reopening stuff and shockingly, unlike other states, we haven’t had a huge increase. Of course, what happened in Louisville is a mess, but that’s another story. I’ll say that our government has a done a great job as well! Wherever you are, stay safe!
Hey Matthew! Thanks for checking in on us! That means a lot. As far as how KY is handling COVID-19, it seems to be going pretty well at this point. Like Ryan said, we've been more aggressive than other states as far as closing stuff down which has certainly helped. We're still continuing to sanitize all vehicles before and after each review, wear our masks when in dealerships and washing our hands frequently. We're trying to minimize our risks as best we can and hope you are too! Have a wonderful and happy weekend!
I 'am owner since 16 months and love this every minutes of driving .I had several luxury vehicle like Volvo s90,Audi,Mazda 929,Acura but this Infiniti is the best of all.
$60K for a car with the profile of a Mazda CX-5, a dated interior and questionable reliability. Looks like a nice package and I can compromise on the interior. But the CVT is a deal breaker at this price (maybe $45K on a lease and I might make a compromise).
Sorry Infiniti, but you guys have missed the mark.....what happen to the embroidery on the seats ???? Mistake #1.... CVT, Mistake #2.....lost of HP....Mistake #3 However, the body style is very nice
Lincoln’s are very nice and impressive but you might want to stay far away from anything ford touches. The new aviators are forming lines at dealer repair shops with tons of transmission issues,
Returned 2019 Audi Q5 for 2021 qx50 (had multiple infiniti from qx56, fx35, G37S coupe and 37 sedan so I assumed for the better) worst decision Audi just rides better smoother quieter ride. QX50 is nothing but a glorified Nissan Rogue with turbo horrible CVT. Engine / road sound inside cabin is way too loud compared to AUDI. IMO stay away test drive other vehicles before buying.
It looks like a Nissan Murano in Infiniti form... in fact, I’m pretty positive that’s what the QX50 is/was based off of. Then the QX60 is the Pathfinder, and the QX80 is obviously the Armada
A RUclips Channel with no name it looks like neither. Although it does have a kinda bland design, it doesn’t look like anything but a Nissan/ Infiniti product.
sounds like a blender. CVT is a no go period. Infiniti scrap the damn CVT and put in a DCT. idiots. Also, this car jumps in price from $43k to $58k in one trim level. Ridiculous. Its purchased 67% by women. That's all you need to know. Great looking but not for serious drivers. Give me Q5, or X3 over this everyday. And I love my Infiniti G's so its not anything against the brand.
I love Nissan / Infiniti
Just wish they made their Infiniti lineups with 8 or 9 speed automatics :(
All this need are the auto folding mirrors
Just found out today it didn’t have this feature, which is wild to me…
Just got the sensory but with the autograph add ons... I love it so much

MRG Music nice choice with the Volvo
Diem Nguyen thanks. I think alot of people are sleeping on Volvo.
MRG Music For real like Volvo makes some really nice cars but where I live I rarely see any of them
All they needed to do what put place a basic version of the Q50's tranny in this and it would sell.
CarPlay and new key is want they needed and this my favorite infinite in my opinion is the classy suv from infiniti
I love the 2020 Infiniti QX50 it’s very nice and Stylish!!
QX50 quite impressed me !!💯👌🏻
Best infiniti suv in the infiniti lineup! definitely recommended to buy!
Uh no the qx80 is best and most capable
Agreed! To me, the QX80 is a rebadged, uglier, more expensive Armada!
No Horribly dated interior
I personally think the QX80 is the best.
@@zmoney9 I agree

Thank you! You stay safe down there as well!
Ugh. That CVT. I would’ve considered the QX50 if it didn’t have that. Went with the new Acura RDX.
Word man
just got an acura rdx as well, it’s awesome
RDX looks CRV 🤮
The exterior design is very nice, just wish the interior matched the exterior more. The darn CVT needs to go, this would do so much better without it. Give us a smooth shifting traditional transmission.
Nice vehicle. it is going to interesting to see what Infiniti does with the mid-cycle updates.

I could care less about Infiniti and Acura... Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, and Honda for life!
A RUclips Channel with no name - you do realize in most countries, there is no Infiniti or Acura - only Nissan and Honda.
Very thorough. Nice review. I have the 2019 and really like it but hate the infotainment. Shame I just missed the update.
Name me one luxury car brand that uses cvt? Other than the toyota hybrid derived lexus which is used to save fuel there are none.
It said tech upgrades in the title and I got excited. Then I saw the 2 screens
I love Infiniti.
Hey Drew and Mason, how has Covid-19 impact Kentucky? Be careful while filming the vehicles! 👌

Yeah don’t lick anything!
no power folding mirrors in 2020.... not sure why Q50 and even this new QX50 does not have this in US market.
Good review
Mason, I think the engine sound is enhanced. You don't really hear the engine. You hear a noise that simulates what an engine should sound like.
I’m glad they have a “new” key fob but it still has a lot of plastic and looks odd in my opinion.
Nissan is next!
He is the best at car reviews....always watch his first.👌
Thanks!
When you test decibel readings, do you test on the same stretch of road each time to eliminate external variables?
Very nice design..but the power train leaves with me some lingering questions about reliability
I 'am owner since 16 months and love this every minutes of driving .I had several luxury vehicle like Volvo s90,Audi,Mazda 929,Acura but this Infiniti is the best of all.
I prefer Audi Q5 BMW X3 Mercedes GLC and Lexus NX
I was wondering if it had automatic phone charging? and spare tire? Thanks, you guys do a great job of your reviews.
No to the wireless charging, yes to the spare tire. Thanks for watching! 😁
It was time to see Infinity with a well design car like tgis option
This Infiniti is so cute but for 60 grand I’ll take them up on their offer
Just get a Murano instead!
Drew & Mason, have a safe 4th of July!
You too!
infinity is insane for not upgrading that infotainment for a decade
First view, comment, and like!

Looks more like a Nissan Murano to me 😳😳
This is so beautiful
Nissan also need to updatev the key fob. Hopefully they go with a similar design.
Sorry Infiniti, but you guys have missed the mark.....what happen to the embroidery on the seats ???? Mistake #1.... CVT, Mistake #2.....lost of HP....Mistake #3 However, the body style is very nice
As soon you rev the cvt whines. No thank you Nissan.
RDX is still superior!
Yeah i would rather buy an MDX or RDX.
Acura’s interior always look cheap & old.
Chris look at the interior of the new RDX, TLX, and soon MDX!
RDX looks like CR-v 🤮
Watch out for that Genesis gv80. It's a winner
Agreed!
Oh no!
They FINALLY changed the key fob? 🤣
lol I was thinking the same. And it was hardly even a change. They need to revamp that for sure.
Yes, but actually no...
The dual screens are distracting.
Do I see non led interior lighting? Fail 👎Infiniti needs to step it up. Takes one step forward just to take two steps back.
Gorgeous styling with premium sensation at exterior but the interior is more plasticky in comparison with Volvo XC60.
Where is the jack. And the spare tire.?
I believe because they have the run flat tires there’s no spare..
No CVT
Made in Aguascalientes México 🇲🇽 in COMPAS
dont like the front deignthe interior is nice but i prefer Acura RDX over this SUV
Better wait for the new Nissan Rogue it looks way more luxurious and up to date
I prefer genesis or a Lincoln
Lincoln’s are very nice and impressive but you might want to stay far away from anything ford touches. The new aviators are forming lines at dealer repair shops with tons of transmission issues,
I rather want a Nissan Mauro

The front looks like a Mazda too me
Mazda copied Infiniti

@@ARUclipsChannelwithNoName the QX50 is closely related to the Mercedes MLB and both are built in the same factory.
Nah...gv70....
So... this is basically the Infiniti version of the Nissan Murano...
2021?
interior still looks outdated
I don't like the shape of this car .. thank u guys 👍
Lexus RX350 PERIOD
Lexus ❤️
CVT ❌
Great exterior, shit interior. Sums up all Japanese luxury brands
first
its all fun and games until you see that ugly center console
It looks like a Nissan Murano, but uglier!
Actually, it looks more like a Lexus RX!
A RUclips Channel with no name it looks like neither. Although it does have a kinda bland design, it doesn’t look like anything but a Nissan/ Infiniti product.
Stefan B. It’s literally a Nissan Murano with Infiniti design language...
RX is better
Looks like a knockoff GLC
Looks more like a Nissan Murano to me, they’re pretty darn similar
NX is better
The brand has too many plastics and early 2000 infotainment system design.
Infiniti need to bow out to Hyindai. It's over. Palisade killing all Infiniti SUVs
@Beautifully Mastered lol
That interior is GARBAGE!!!!! The Japanese automakers seem to have lost their way. 🥴

I think QX50 is the worst car in the segment
