And this Lena-character is from a Norwegian film called "Døden på Oslo S" (death at Oslo central station). This series Pelle og Proffen also comes from. Based on books by Ingvar Ambjørnsen
Thanks for bringing this back! :-))) It's such a wonderful parody of the Norwegian movie style of the 70s and 80s. It was all over acted and under acted at the same time, with awkward social "realism" plots, raw acting and bad production. I grew up with that stuff so I'm probably psychologically scarred :-D
Pål Bang Hansen was a beloved and distinctive character, and here he helps to satirize the Norwegian realism style that was part of the film back then.
"Ut i vår hage " (In our garden - if translated) was fantastic. For the norwegians who saw it that is. Lena is a characther from å neo-realistic oslo-drama from the eighties. Harald is always Lena, and he speaks very much (its a parody) like her. And the language is spot on what norwegian films brought us back then. And still is... I guess it's hard to translate those neuances. "De dødes tjern" ("the Dead pool" is the first norweigan horrorfilm, made back in the fifthees - not sure but Paal Bang Hansen might have acted in it as he was an actor in norwegian films as a kid. But he is most famous for beeing the voice of NRK (Norwegian broadcasting) for an eternety. Atle Antonsen is a bit young and sort of upcoming here. He is a brilliant comedian. And so are Harald and Bård too. Sort of making us see the comical side of beeing norwegian, and helped us laugh about it. Brilliant! Comedy is cruel!
The subtleties, nuances and references gets really lost in translation, but glad you enjoyed! it gets so overdramatic that it gets stupid, and that is why it's funny.
Not sure how well this works when you don't know all the references to norwegian film and the historically extremely bad screen writing and acting, but a welcome sight for me being norwegian 🙂
This is sketch is kind a parody on old Norwegian movies. There's this song called "I en sofa fra IKEA" (in a sofa from IKEA) by Ole Paus which sums it. Dad beats mom, mom cheats on dad with her boss, using foul language, mom and/or dad has issues with alcohol. 80-90's era
This is very funny, but so packed with cultural and sematic references and specific 90-referenes that unless you have lived in Norway for many years, you will not get more than 10% of this.
So basically most Norwegian films in the 80s and 90 were considered very bad and artificial with a certain talking style reminiscent of the 70s hippie culture. The main reference is the 1990 film Døden på Oslo S, which was a huge blockbuster at the time, despite the funny language.
Pål Bang Hansen was indeed Norways biggest and most famous film critics for many decades. The man is legendary and much beloved by many, and still is!
I never liked any of his reviews but strangely now I kinda miss the guy on TV.
There are SO many referances to Norwegian "things" here. :D There is no way anyone else than Norwegians can grasp this.

its crazy that anyone outside of norway can laugh at these to me, its so many references and norwegianisms that makes this funny
i love those guys and shows, so funny and crazy sketches :D
Glad you enjoyed it, but there are so much context, references and nuances in the acting style and language that the subtitles just can't justify.

Pål Bang Hansen was one of the biggest filmcritics in Norway for many years.
Probably my favourite sketch from them
H. Eia as Lena is epic :D
The acting, with H.Eia(girl), dancing and music, is a referance to, possible, the most famous norwegian movie from the 80´s. Døden på Oslo S.
The subtleties, nuances and references gets really lost in translation, but glad you enjoyed! it gets so overdramatic that it gets stupid, and that is why it's funny.
The nostalgia, The time before internet and smart phones watching this on Tv :D

Pål Bang Hansen almost crashed into my boat once, actually 🤣
He probably didn't see straigth...the glasses. :D
Never seen this skit before. Bloody hilarious.

This channel is pretty good at picking rare and funny Norwegian entertainment.
The "girl" is Harald Eia :)
The swear vocabulary LUL
Noooo
8:05 that's a clip from a movie called "Kill Buljo", parody based on Kill Bill. It's kinda funny and definetly worth a watch 👌🏻
Did you ever watch the Viking comedy "Norsemen =)/

So much is lost in translation here. Only Norwegians will get this fully.
i miss pål bang Hansen and to think it's allready been 14 years since he passed away
Thank you!
When they speak like in Norwegian Film everyone speak with the intonation of william Shatner.
Gla ireio.
React to Ylvis polish lookalikes series
A great parody of the truly awful Norwegian movies that was made in the 70ies
