I feel like this is evidence of how her awkwardness that everyone makes fun of is actually just sucky interviewers with dumb questions. The comfort and depth of this one was really neat to watch.
For a girl who's been blasted on the web and in the media time and again for never smiling, she sure seemed happy sitting with Sean.
I think she just doesn’t do well with disinterested or arsehole journos.
Which is fair enough. She was comfortable here though, so she could let a bit more of her personality shine through. It’s funny, the reputation she has with the public, of being a boring, stuck up, emotionless wooden board (I think most of that was Twilight’s fault, but she literally just played the character as it was written, so I don’t hold that against her). But when I’ve heard from people she’s worked with, they say she’s easy to get along with, laid back, but also professional. And from this interview, I can see it.

When you understand social anxiety, you can see she eventually gets comfortable with him/his interview to feel like she can be herself. Pretty cool
easier to say if someone only has social anxiety. mix that with a spectrum disorder like ADHD, depression, or autism and you got yourself a way harder battle to fight. often not being able to trust others for fear of being blown up on, simply for being misunderstood. along with trouble expressing your emotions to others in a way you see fit

Kristen is so intelligent, witty, authentic and very charming. What I always loved about her is the fact she never tried to copy anyone, there was always the originality, authenticity, honesty and warming heart you could feel all those things about her no matter what stage of life we saw her in. She has developed a lot through years and I am so glad she became this strong, self confident woman! :-)

Kristen is very well spoken, I love hearing her talk and describe her experiences. She just seems like a really fun person to vibe with :)

If you look at his interview with other actors and filmmakers, he's a great interviewer and totally respect the people that he interviewed them. Hot Ones is low-key a generational interview series that tops almost any conventional media outlet, which feature interviewers and questions that, as Kristen pointed out, are utterly dispassionate and disingenuous. When you share in an endeavor like surviving hot wings while being asked thoughtful questions that require research and effort, guest open up more and you get a better sense of who they are as people. This show has opened up classically misunderstood people like Shia and Kristen and I fucking love it.

I enjoyed this episode a lot more than I initially expected, there's so much more to Kristen than that cold Twilight persona she lived for so long, I'm really happy to see her be herself and she seems really cool.
So I love celebrity interviews and watch a lot of them on youtube. You are by far one of the best interviewers. The questions and segments are well thought out, researched very well and very thoughtful. You put a lot of time into it and ask questions that I haven't heard. Good job!

Sean as a host is amazing. Ive said it before but I love that everyone that comes on is taken back by how great of an interviewer he is and the added bonus of seeing celebs move out of their comfort zone. Great original show that fills a gap mainstream media will never learn to fill.

Lydomina I think it has more to do with the question about being interviewed that she got. Sean is a real person who finds things to be interested in about his guests and so is genuine in his interviews. Most of the late night hosts and entertainment “reporters” are fake as fuck and just going through the motions. Welp, didn’t intend to write that much haha.

What impressed me the most was the interviewer's ability to create a comfortable and open environment, allowing for a candid and insightful conversation whilst eating hot food!!. The questions went beyond the surface level, delving into the nuances of the actor's experiences, skills, and thought processes.

My favorite part of this interview is when she tastes the "da bomb" and is actually verbalizing how it's not actually as bad as she thought, but you can see at 14:23 where it actually kicks in. I'm sure most people watching this have tried da bomb, but that's exactly how it works, especially for people who aren't bothered by a lot of spicy stuff.

During every interview, Sean manages to avoid the obvious topics that we all already have heard about, and I think this is one the things that make the interviews great.
I think one of the best things about this show is that, beyond the hilarious hook of the hot sauce, Sean is one of the most genuine and kind interviewers in the business.
I've watched so many of these, and so far, Kristen is by far and way my favorite guest and episode.

Yeah she was still young and figuring herself out. Now she seems totally at ease with herself and it just makes her so much more attractive
She portrayed Bella as she is in the book - the complete opposite of chill. A lot of people have the inability to distinguish actors from their characters. She gets a lot of hate for Twillight but none of the haters actually bother to look at the source material. Look at her in The Runaways (2010) and the last Twillight (2011), she was already amazing and cool as Joan Jett but completely different as Bella.
