He is great and the guest choices are incredible. I’ll add though, especially w the advent of platforms like YT, there are quite a few great platform hosts. Sean is a favorite, Lex Friedman, incredible, it’s great stuff.

Its because he's genuine and just a nice guy....conversations seem forced when you put on an act for the cameras or try too hard. Garuntee he is the exact same way wherever he is

the way is see it is that he (or his team) do their homework before interviewing someone to make them feel comfy in terms of questions and not forcing anything. Plus Sean is not acting in front of the camera for the sake of interview, he's genuine the same even when cameras are not rolling

I always thought they have used music pretty appropriately. They used “game of thronsey” music in this ep because they had Maissie.

I think I finally garnered all the respect for Shaun Evens. At first, I cheered for the celebs to finish. Now, after having these sauces myself and knowing first hand how hot these sauces are, it’s insane he does this day after day, eating this while remaining sensitive to each celebrity, encouraging them and mirroring them step for step. Super impressive. Sean deserves the awards and more!

@@FearDoe To be fair, a lot of it is to do with the format. One Hot Ones, they have probably a couple hours to do the whole thing and edit together the best bits. On the late night talk shows, they're lucky to be out there for 10 minutes, during which time the host has to make sure to get all the plugs in they're contractually obligated to do.

I also like the hollywood reporters "the round table" because the guests can interact so much between themselves and the interviewer is not so much a factor. Sometimes he/she interupts a train of thought in the middle but I think they do it cause they are on a time limit and want to get through a small set of questions and a photo shoot in time.
I love the fact she seems like a genuinely nice person. This show is great!

Anytime someone asks if they're allowed to do something or do something weird, Sean does it with them so they don't feel weird for doing it. He does it in almost every interview. In this one he waves the red flag with her, and the milk mustache at the end. He always gets on their level and makes them feel welcome. The best indeed.

Yes very, Sean doesn't force questions or try to poke you for secret info on movies like every other interviewer. He talks about good things and lets the interviewee get comfy and open up more than in usual situations. But then they do have to eat progressively hotter food as it goes on. So I will say, Sean is a ass to their stomachs and booties xD
he truly is a great interviewer and he never hits soft spots that make the guests feel uncomfortable yet he gets nardwuar like and asks in depth questions. He's very underrated and deserves an actual studio tv show.

Hot Ones isn't just good because of the concept, it's fun concept is supported by a genuinely charismatic interviewer that asks entertaining questions in a natural manner that always opens up another conversation and fulfills the role every interviewer essentially has in mind, to make the celebrity reveal an interesting side to them that the audience didn't know about and in the grand scheme of things make them appear far more interesting.
